BACK TO SCHOOL

One month later
Anna POV
“Finally!” I shouted jumping out of bed. I switched off my alarm and did a twirl with my hands spread out. I have never in my life been this excited to go to school, and to be honest I wish there wasn’t something like school vacation because I have seen enough of these four walls and my mother. I don’t mean it in a bad way just that she has been in my face and in my space too much lately.
Andy has been the best boyfriend ever, all loving and caring, but I think he and Jessy had a fight because when he is here Jessy is not and when Jessy is here he isn’t. I tried asking and I got, “it’s nothing.” From both of them so I just let it go.
I went to the bathroom and took a hot shower and do you know how amazing it feels to stand on my own two legs and use my own two arms without needing help from anyone.
I can climb in and out without struggling.
I took my time in dressing this morning seeing that I haven’t been at school for almost three months. I took out my white skinny jeans they are torn on the thighs and knees and they have small gold chains looped around each torn part. I took out my black crop top that reached just above my navel showing off my belly ring which I got while on vacation. And I took out my black leather jacket with silver studs around the collar and for the final touch I took out my black ankle boots which has a small heel.
I stand back and admire my choice of clothing. ‘this is perfect.’ I said to myself and started with my hair. It’s longer now just below the middle of my back and it’s a bush of curls tanks to the salty air and the ocean breeze.
I blow-dried my hair letting it fall in waves down my back, I put make-up on but very lightly, just some eyeliner, eye shadow and mascara.
I got dressed and looked myself up and down in the mirror. If I didn’t live in me I wouldn’t know who was staring back at me. I rubbed my hands down my clothes and smiled at myself. “Andy will freak when he sees what I’m wearing.” I thought to myself and you know what. For once I don’t even care what he’s ganna say or even if he is going to say something.
I made my way down stairs and caught my mom eating my last chocolate bar. “mom!” I said and she jumped looking at me with wide eyes and the chocolate half in her mouth. She stuck the rest of the chocolate in her mouth and tried smiling at me.
I just rolled my eyes and grabbed an apple. I will get some lunch at school I thought as I grabbed my keys and said goodbye to my mom.
I know I’m a bit early, but I want to hand in all my work that I have done so that I can get my marks and the teachers can see that I am up to date with my work.
As I drove to school I played “eye of the tiger” which has become my favourite song recently until I got to school.
The parking lot was still empty so I parked in front of the school and sent Jessy a message saying I am already at school and they should come early there is parking.
I got out of the car and the few kids that were outside just stared at me and the boys whistled.
I made my way into the school and went to the office first to drop off all my work. When that was done I went to wait outside for Jessy and Andy.
“well, well, well. Look what we have here.” Gavin said as he walked up to me. I hate this guy he was basically Tommy’s second skin.
“what do you want Gavin?” I asked looking at him.
“well I can definitely see why Tommy wanted you so bad.” He said and I wanted to punch that smirk off his face.
I looked over his shoulder and Dominique was staring daggers at me. “you know, I don’t think your girlfriend likes the idea of you talking to me.” I said and he laughed.
He turned around and I used that as my chance to escape and just then I saw Jessy’s car pulling into the parking next to mine.
I walked over to her car and watched at her jaw dropped the closer I got. I didn’t even tale her two seconds to be out of the car and in front of me. “whaattt?” she said dragging the word out staring at me with wide eyes and an open mouth.
I smiled and did a slow turn showing off my new look. “you like?” I asked and posed for her.
“what happened to the Anna I used to know?” she asked and looked at me.
“I grew tired of her so I’m trying something different now.” I said and walked closer to Jessy.
“well you look hot.” She said which made me laugh.
“why are you at school so early?” she asked as we made our way to the building.
“I wanted parking and I came to drop off my work at the office.” I said sitting down on step.
Jessy just looked at me.
“what is going on between you and Andy?” I asked not being able to keep my mouth anymore. Jessy looked at me and gave me a small sad smile.
“it’s nothing Anna. It’ll blow over soon.” She said and looked away. but I could see that there is something she is not telling me.
“well speak of the devil.” Jessy said and she wanted to leave.
“please don’t leave.” I asked her giving her my best puppy eyes.”
