Chapter Three

1522 Words
When I wake up, the first thing I see is a chest. It's warm and I'm cold so I move closer. It turns and faces up so I crawl on top of something which is also warm and hug it. I feel a few strands of my hair being lightly tugged and played with which I like so I smile. I rub my head on the chest and smile again. Wait! Chest? Dray!!! I jump up into a sitting position and see Dray smiling up at me. I sigh and try to get up from him, but I feel something brush against my thigh. I freeze. "Is that your ........" I trail off, not even wanting to know what it is. "No, it's yours." He tells me. I jump off him and scan my body to find nothing. I look back to the bed to see a part of the blanket folded up in a way that would make it thick and hard. I sigh in relief and he laughs at me. He really likes laughing. I drop onto the bed with a groan and glare at him. He just chuckles before getting up and walking to my door. He leaves and I feel as though a defining part of my regular life left with him. What a strange feeling. I think to myself. I shrug off the feeling and get up from the bed. I walk into my bathroom which is joined to my room to take a shower. After the shower, I walk into the room with a towel wrapped around my waist, showing off my slightly tanned skin. I breathe in and perceive something delicious. Dray is cooking breakfast again. I love his cooking, its really delicious. He's real husband material. Not that I care. I throw on a black V-necked shirt, black skinny, ripped jeans and put on my socks, followed by a pair of black sneakers before rushing down with my bag slung over my back. Dray is already dressed in a similar fashion- A purple V-necked shirt, black ripped skinny jeans and sneakers that are a mix of black with purple stripes. I sit at the kitchen Island and swing my legs like an excited child. Gray walks over with two plates of food in hand. The plates are stacked with beautifully shaped pancakes. They are shaped as squares, triangles, hearts and even animals. I see what looks like a dog and raise it up in question. "What's this?" I ask him. He laughs before replying me. "It's a wolf." He replies while looking at me and smiling brightly. "Oh. Nice food art." I tell him. "Thanks." I pour the syrup over my pancakes and watch it roll over the side. I take the one shaped as a wolf and eat it first before picking the one shaped as a heart. "That signifies my love for our friendship." He says between chews. I smile before keeping it aside. "Huh?" He looks at me confused and I give him a shy smile. "If that's what it means, I want to keep it." He grins widely before telling me to finish eating. Before we leave for school, I put the pancake in the freezer. The walk to school is quite long so we take my car. It's a 2017 black Camaro. We drive to school in a quite atmosphere, except for Dray's quiet humming. People say I have a very flexible and ever changing taste in music. I can be listening to Nicotine one moment, Middle Finger the next, She Wants Me Dead after that, and so on. I like songs the help to fuel my imagination. We arrive at school quite early and park in the wide parking lot. We get out of the car and scan through the area. There are only a few cars here which are owned by teachers. We walk into the school with Dray's arm draped over my shoulders which I try to shrug off multiple times but he just tightens his grip every time. I groan in frustration and pull out my phone from my pocket. It's the latest version on the Techno android. I'm a spoiled brat. I've always like androids to I-Phones. I plug in my headphones and push the buds into my ears. I scroll through my playlist labelled 'Neffex', dedicated to his songs only. I put on 'Head Down' and throw on the hood of of my black hoodie that I grabbed before we left the house. After a few minutes, the music switches to 'Party Like The 80's'. By then, we are seated at the back of the English class. There is quite a little while before class starts so I put on Heroic Sessions #047 by Neffex and smile to myself, leaning back and closing my eyes. Someone taps me and I open my eyes to face Dray. "What?" "Teacher's in the class." He tells me. I look over to the front to see Mr. Julius, the English teacher arranging his books and files before facing the class. He is a huge, plump man with a large belly and dark skin. He rubs his belly before speaking up. "Good morning class. I hope you all enjoyed the mid-term break and had a blast but it's time to get into full throttle with your studies!" He exclaims and rubs his belly again. I groan lightly and try to hold onto my sanity while this dreadful class goes on. ~~~~~~~ "See you later." Dray says as we go our separate ways for our next classes, mine being Literature. I glide gracefully on my feet as I move between people, not touching them so I don't draw unwanted attention. I turn down the hallway and pull out my buds for my headphones out of my ears. Mrs. Kate likes us paying attention in her class. Her class is quite lively, compared to Mr. Julius's class. Before I make it to her class, I'm roughly pulled into an empty class which isn't so empty now that I look around. There are about seven guys who are all buff and taller than me. They all smirk at me and then laugh. "Hey, shortie!" One calls out but I ignore his insult. "I need to get to class." I state plainly. He scoffs and I look at him. I scan him from head to toe, taking in his features. He has dirty blond hair which he let grow out and a slight stubble. He's probably around 6'4, with broad shoulders and slightly large pecs. I might have fallen for him if I were gay, but I think Dray is more of my type. I shake my head, slightly disturbed by those thoughts. I look up at him again. "What do you want?" I ask them, already bored out of my mind. "Well, you see, we've heard some rumors that we are disturbed by. We heard that you are dating a guy. We aren't......... Okay with that." He paces, taking tiny steps with his hand folded behind his back. He stops and looks at me, a grin plastered all over his face. "We're here to help you with that problem- We'll beat it outta ya." His awful grin turns into a sinister smirk as he and his goons step closer. I bring my fists up and get into a fighting stance, ready to fight back. Bang! The door flies open, revealing Dray and Mrs. Kate. "What's going on here?!" She yells, glaring at the seven meat heads before her gaze shifts to me. Her glare intensifies, seeing that I am in a fighting posture. She points her long, skinny fingers at them and yells detention before she points at me. "Follow me. We're going to the principal's office." "N-no. Please, I-I-I......" I am unable to form any words. Dray walks over and wraps an arm around me and starts pulling me away. I squirm and struggle but fail terribly to escape. He sighs and bends over to my ear. "Don't worry, you're not in trouble." I look at him, stunned as we approach the office. Something about the way he spoke was off. It sent shivers down my spine. I decide that I don't like it. I shrug his arm off my shoulders with a frown and he looks down at me. I ignore him and quicken my steps, moving up to Mrs. Kate side. "Are you okay, dear?" She asks me in that motherly tone. "Yeah mom." I answer her with a smile. "How are things going in your house?" She asks, trying to lengthen the conversation. "Just fine." I bring the conversation to a stop by knocking on the door to the principal's office. "Come in!" His loud, deep voice, full of authority rips through the semi-silent atmosphere. I push the door open and step in with Mom and Dray behind me. "Cameron!" He yells and throws his hands up in the air. "My boy!" He stands up from the chair, revealing his huge figure that was once partially hidden by the large oak table he was sitting behind. "H-hey dad...."
