To Tame her Heart

Zoe was trying to get herself ready for another tedious day in the small town that she called home. She was 17 and a senior in high school, She had a few friends but not as many as some would want her to have. She was tall and skinny with beautiful creamy tan skin and crystal blue eyes that seemed to change to fire with her mood.   Sighing to herself as she got ready , she finally decided to just wear what was available. Deciding that nothing would be perfect. She ended up throwing on a pair of jeans , a spiked belt and a def leppard tshirt . She  grabbed her bag and her phone and walked out the door. As she stepped outside Zoe saw her best friend Drake . He was taller then her but not by much and he was as white as it gets. He had brown hair and green eyes. Most girls thought Drake was a catch. He played baseball and ran track in highschool. But to Zoe who had been his best friend for years he was just a guy.  "Hey Drake." Zoe said catching her breath as she walked briskly down the front stairs of her house.  "Are you ready for this weekend . I bet your super stoked to get out of here even if it's just to the ranch. I mean your family total bummer. It will be an adventure.  " Drake had known her so long he knew all her secrets . Knew that zoe and her family didn't really get along. Though he wasn't sure why.  They hopped in his car and sped off to school.  Meanwhile at the Ranch Xander cane had already been up tending to the animals all day. He had on tight jeans and a black muscle shirt with boots. Perfect for the jobs he had to get done for the morning. All the livestock had been fed and so had he. Xander had a really hearty appetite but I mean what cowboy didn't. It also didn't help that he was a warewolf. It seemed like he was never fully satisfied. Jake the ranch owner and one of Xanders best friends had taken him in when his family was killed in a car crash five years ago. Jake was a great friend but Xander still felt lonely. Maybe that  would one day change, but for now he loved working the Ranch . It had belonged to Jake's great grandfather and all of Xander' s family had worked for them at some point.  " We have a group of teens coming to stay at the ranch this weekend. They are probably going to be a pain for you but show them around will ya." Jake said as he mounted one of the best by horses to go check the fences.  Xander knew that alot of times the way they kept the place running was by allowing people to stay in one of the many quest houses to get away from it all. The ranch was over five hundred acres so it was definitely getting away. You could get lost by it's rivers and streams. There were numerous lodges and guest houses spread across the five hundred acres to account for the ranch hands when the moved the livestock back and fourth due to weather conditions.  Xander wondered to himself would he ever find someone who loved this place as much as he did. Someone who he could share his life like jake and his Fiancee Nicole. Someone who would be up for an adventure......
