CHAPTER 1 :- THE CARRER BEGAINS
Rampurva Village, Motihari, Bihar
It was 5:00 AM, and Rudra woke up earlier than usual. Today was a big day-he had been selected for the Indian Navy, and his training was about to begin. Excitement filled his heart as he stepped out of bed.
After taking a bath and completing his morning routine, he started packing his bags. His train to Mumbai was scheduled for 9:00 AM from Motihari.
By 6:30 AM, he was almost ready when his mother's voice called out from the kitchen.
Mother: "Rudra! Come for breakfast!"
Rudra (shouting from his room): "Yes, Maa! Coming!"
As he entered the kitchen, his mother placed a plate of warm food in front of him.
Mother: "Beta, have you packed everything?"
Rudra (smiling): "Yes, Maa. I've done it."
Just then, his father, Samsher, who worked at a petrol pump, folded his newspaper and looked at Rudra seriously.
Father: "Beta, everything is fine, and I'm happy for you. But have you thought about what you'll do if you don't get selected after training?"
Rudra's excitement wavered for a moment. His father's words made him doubt himself. Was he truly prepared for this?
Before he could respond, his mother spoke up with reassurance.
Mother: "Beta, don't think about all that. Just focus on your training. Don't worry about anything else. Your mother is here to take care of everything."
Hearing his mother's words, Rudra smiled and nodded.
Rudra: "Yes, Maa. You're right."
They continued their breakfast when a knock at the door interrupted them.
Rudra's best friend, Jagjeet, stepped inside with his usual energy.
Before Rudra could greet him, his father muttered under his breath, "Aagaya lafandar." (Here comes the troublemaker.)
Jagjeet belonged to a rich family and had always wanted to start his own business. Despite his wealth, he never looked down on others and always believed in hard work. However, Rudra's father never approved of their friendship and saw Jagjeet as an aimless boy.
Jagjeet heard the comment but chose to ignore it, as he always did. Instead, he grinned and walked toward Rudra.
Jagjeet (grinning): "So, Officer Rudra! Ready for the big day?"
Rudra (laughing): "Of course! Just waiting for you to give me a grand farewell."
Jagjeet (teasing): "Farewell? Nah, just make sure you don't forget us when you become a big Navy officer!"
They both chuckled.
Jagjeet had always been by Rudra's side, no matter the situation. Their dreams were different, their struggles were different, yet their bond remained unshaken.
As Rudra looked at his packed bags, a wave of confidence washed over him. No fear, no hesitation-just a dream waiting to be fulfilled.
