Loud party music, neon moving lights, booze here and there, this is the life for the twenty-eight-year-old heiress of the Bai Conglomerate, Bai Feng Jiu wants. Free from the clutches and influence of her family, she wanted to pursue arts and crafts but her family wants her to follow their footsteps and take Master's in Business Administration at Harvard Business School and under its Executive Education Program. She fought with her father Bai Yi a while ago when she told her father that she doesn't want to pursue the family business which angered her father and told her to get out. Feng Jiu had enough from her controlling family, so she decided to call her friends and get a drink. Together with her other friends, Su Mo Ye, Cheng Yu, and Ye Qingti, the four partied like there is no tomorrow in the club named Contempt that just opened months ago. These three friends of hers came from affluent families like her and have connections with her family. "Come on Jiu-jiu! You just came home from overseas! Stop sulking and enjoy partying! Woohoo!" shouted Su Mo Ye the 28-year-old son of one of the Bai's business partners and one of her three childhood friends. "Party now go drama later Jiu." said the ever party goer 28th-year-old Cheng Yu, not an heiress but her family has a law firm that is popular since Cheng Yu's family line are all brilliant and top-notch lawyers of the country. "Welcome home... Sweet thing." a whisper than a warm hug that Feng Jiu accepted from her longtime boyfriend Ye Qingti. "I missed you Qingti... So, much," she said. Ye Qingti and Feng Jiu have been in a relationship for eight straight years now and Ye Qingti is the only approved suitor by her family. She loves him so much and she's ready to settle down with the heir of Ye Textiles but first, she needs to settle the issue of her dream with her family first before marries her long time sweetheart. The four friends danced to the beat and sing the requested songs. They felt free and unburdened of their duties as the heirs,heiress, and a rich man's daughter. After two hours of dancing, they decided to go to their VVIP room to chill and continue drinking. Feng Jiu, her boyf,friend and two others are a little bit tipsy already but before they could open their door to their VVIP room, Feng Jiu was suddenly held by Cheng Yu and said, "You've been gone for a good whole year Jiu-jiu, so we prepared a surprise for you. Now close your eyes and no peeking! " Feng Jiu released a giggle, nodded and obeyed what Cheng Yu has said. She closed her eyes and then she panicked when someone put a blindfold on her. "Don't be afraid. It's just us Jiu. Don't worry, I'm going to lead you inside then we'll take off the blindfold fold after okay." Cheng Yu reassured her and she nodded then smiled. As they walk slowly and being led by Cheng Yu, she said, "What is this guys? You're killing me with anticipation." she said and everyone just laughed then she heard Su Mo Ye said, "Don't be a chicken and a spoil sport now Bai Feng Jiu. We prepared this for you. You better thank us later. " Feng Jiu could hear a teasing tone from Su Mo Ye and she smiled. And then they stopped. She felt someone took off the blind fold and she opened her eyes. She is adjusting to the light and she gasped. She is so touched that her eyes started to water. Then Feng Jiu's heart dropped when she saw Ye Qingti kneeling on one knee on the floor. She wants to utter and say something but her words is caught in her throat. Her hands turned cold and then she heard him say, "Bai Feng Jiu... Will you marry me?" And she saw a black velvet box with a diamond platinum band with square emeralds. Feng Jiu felt hurt. She knows the ring is worth a fortune by the looks of it. She went to Qingti and kneeled in one knee too. Feng Jiu looked at Qingti who was looking back at her unexpectedly and waited for her to answer. She looked down on the floor and blinked her eyes. Tears started to fall and she looked at the diamond ring with love and longingness. Although Qingti is still holding the black velvet box, Feng Jiu slowly held his hand that held the velvet box and slowly closed it shut. With tears in he,r eyes she looked at Ye Qingti and said in a whisper, "I'm sorry Qingti but my answer is still the same. I hope you understand why I can't say yes to you yet. " Feng Jiu saw the empty look on her beloved's face and she know he is devastated. She saw him slowly stood and he looked at her and released a bitter smile and say, "I love you so much and you already know that sweet thing. But this is the third time you've rejected my proposal and I will not pretend that your rejection doesn't hurt. " Feng Jiu's tears didn't stop from falling. She's regretful that she didn't said Yes but she needs to stand on her decision and fix her life before entering into another deal that is forever and that is marriage. She and her clan has a high regard for marriage and not to take it lightly. When you married that person, there is no turning back and there will be no divorce. Thus she rejecting Qingti. She loves Qingti so much but she must fix her problem about what she wanted in life and that is pursuing arts and crafts than being an heiress. Feng Jiu saw Qingti walked towards her but to her surprise and hurt, Qingti walked past her and out of the VVIP room of the The Contempt Club. She heard Su Mo Ye and Cheng Yu called Qingti but she know, her rejection is a low blow to him. Feng Jiu can't stand to see him hurting and so, she ran out of the room and chased after Qingti not minding that Cheng Yu and SuMo Ye called for her to come back. On the throng and sea of people still dancing to the clubs beat, she saw Qingti hurrying to get out. While running after Qingti, she unexpectedly ran into a man who went out the door in her right side and she nearly fell on the floor. Luckily and thankfully the guy caught her. She felt an arm snaked around her waist and her hands landed on a warm wide muscled chest. Her eyes went to look from where her hands landed on a warm chest, up to the wide shoulders, up to a manly neck, up to a well defined jawline, then a thin yet kissable lips, an aristocratic proud nose and lastly those eyes that she felt that could suck her soul out from her body. She realized that the guy is very tall. She blinked her tear stricken eyes and there she saw a handsome yet serious face of the one who caught her. Due to her embarrassment and awkward position they're in, she pushed the guy hard away from her and she said, "I'm sorry mister. I didn't mean to ran into you. I'm catching up with someone. Thank you for not letting me fall." she turned and left hurriedly without waiting for the stranger ti speak. She needs to catch up to Qingti to make him understand or else, her relationship with him will fall apart. Meanwhile, the guy stared at the sexy and swaying back of the woman who ran into him. He smiled and said, "I'll see you again foxy."
