----Welcome Home---- ***Lanie's POV*** Wiping the beady sweat from my forehead, I finally finished fixing all of the things that that dumb wolf ruined with his coffee. “I’m home!” A cheerful female voice said as I looked up. My sister was absolutely radiant. Her belly peeked out from her body a bit as she was now about three months pregnant. Her golden eyes were full of love and happiness as she strolled over with Arsen in tow. “Should you walk that fast? Are you tired? Should I carry you? Do you need anything?” Arsen attacked her with a flurry of questions as Sophia did a little eye roll, smirking with amusement. “Babe, I am fine! Please, you worry too much. Now, can we talk to my sister about our wedding, please?” Her tone matched the amusement that danced in her eyes. Seeing her walk up, I couldn’t help but chuckle over the great Alpha of the Evermoons being a nervous wreck over his mate. “Has he been like this all day today?” I laughed. “Ugh, WORSE.” She teased while Arsen gave her the side eye. “I’m just worried about you and our pups! You have twins in you!” He huffed as we both giggled. “Uh, Lanie, why is my Beta screaming in my mind about letting him down? Saying that he is going to be tortured?” Arsen raised an eyebrow curiously. “Your Beta ruined the outside wedding decorations with coffee earlier! He is currently in a vine prison. I figured Sophia could freeze him and we could put him in a dress for revenge.” I smiled sweetly. Sophia gasped, biting her lip to keep from giggling. “My dearest sister, I don’t think my future husband would enjoy me using my powers to put his Beta in a dress.” I watched her eyes glitter as she said that and I knew she desperately wanted to do it. I also knew that she had to act like a Luna so I pouted. “Fiiiiine!!! But the next time he messes up your wedding stuff, I’ll force him into a dress or make him eat a whole ghost pepper without your powers!” I huffed. I saw Sophia look at Arsen and they both laughed at the same time. “Fine, fine. If he messes up again.” Arsen reached out and tousled my fiery auburn curls. Growling and quickly fixing my hair, I snapped my fingers and heard a thud. “OW! WHAT THE HELL LANIE?!” Will snarled as he came in. “Oops, forgot you were higher up. Sorry about that.” I smirked and secretly revelled in my little dose of revenge. “Anyway! The wedding is in two days. Do we have everything set? Do I need to help with anything?” Sophia asked, her golden eyes twinkled with curiosity. “No, no way. If Lanie needs help, I’m helping and you’re resting. The only thing you will lift is a finger to tell us where something goes.” Arsen growled. “Arsen -” Sophia tried to argue. “No, Sophia. You won’t win this one.” “Fine! Ughhh, I can’t do anything!” Sophia whimpered. “Everything is going well anyway. You just look beautiful in your wedding dress, Sophia.” I smiled softly. “Now if you’ll excuse us, I’m going to bring my queen upstairs and help her get settled.” Arsen spoke up, picking up Sophia into a bridal carry with her giggling. “Goodnight everyone!” With that, we all retired to our rooms for the evening. ***Two Days Later*** It was finally the day of the wedding. I was up early rushing around to get last minute stuff done and ensuring everyone was completing their respected jobs. Looking up, the sun was the only thing in the sky as it was slowly peeking over the horizon. The sky lit up in hues of yellow, orange and blue as the sun greeted the new day without a cloud in the sky. Perfect. My sister deserves a perfect day for her wedding. Guests were piling into the pack mansion as the designated chauffeurs and maids showed them to their seats. I ran up to check on the men quickly as Arsen took one look at me and shoo’ed me out. “Go to your sister! Go get ready! I can keep my men in line.” He grinned, beaming with happiness as he got his tie on. Seeing him so happy struck me with the fact that I wasn’t married or even had a prospect. I secretly wished for my happy ending. Hastily dismissing those thoughts, I rushed over to Sophia’s room. Opening the door, my jaw dropped as I saw her. Mother was in the room, tying Sophia’s ribbon to her back as her dress was something out of a fairytale. The dress was an offwhite with a pronounced sweetheart neckline with lace that travelled up to her collar bones so she wouldn’t have any cleavage showing. The back was open with lace flirting along her shoulder blades traveling downwards to a corset tie that started at her middle back. A large white ribbon with two large tails that travelled down her small train adorned her back as the whole dress past her waist was tulle that faded into an intricate but beautiful lace design. She looked just like a princess and I couldn’t help but stare. Her raven colored hair was half up and half down, curled in loose curls with honeysuckle flowers woven into her hair. “Sophia, you’re beautiful, sis.” I gaped, unable to say anything else. “Lanie! You should get dressed!” Sophia giggled as she blushed from my compliment. “Do you think Arsen will like it? It shows off my baby bump.” She, shyly, fiddled with her fingers. “If he isn’t speechless when he sees you, then he needs to get his eyes checked! He will love it.” I smiled, hugging her gently before getting dressed into my dress. My dress was a royal purple that matched the tulle outside. It was form fitting with a low dip in the front that showed my cleavage, but it flared out into a pretty A-line silhouette. It also was made of tulle but didn’t have any lace. Putting my hair up, I also adorned my hair with honeysuckle flowers. Finally feeling like I was worthy enough of standing next to the goddess that was my sister, I smiled warmly. “Are you ready to marry your soulmate, sis?” “Yes. I’ve been waiting my whole life for this moment.” Sophia smiled as I knew she was trying to hold back tears. Events like this always made her cry happy tears. “Don’t mess up your makeup!” I hissed playfully before grabbing her hand. “Sophia, Mother, let’s go.”
