Sarah stared ahead at the sea of traffic announcing they’d arrived at the outskirts of Kathmandu. It was a little after 6:00 p.m., and the city streets were flooded with pedestrians, some lingering in groups around narrow side streets snaking into the urban sprawl, others hawking goods in front of shops to the streaming masses spilling out in all directions. From here on in, it would be a painful stop-and-go along the H02 highway, which had converged with the H04 at Chandragiri.
