CHAPTER NINE

"Benjamin?", my parents enquired

"mom and dad?" Benny responded

"Okay, what the hell is going on?" I yelled

That seemed to pull them out of their trance. My mom just looked at me before going over to Benny and pulling him into a tight hug as she cried her heart out. My dad also joined the hug making me feel like a third wheel.

"What is going on? Alpha? Benny?" Demitrey questioned. Alpha?

"Wolf", my dad acknowledged him with venom in his voice and anger in his eyes.

what the hell is going on?

"Honey, you might need to sit," my mom said as she dragged me into the living room. 

"Benjamin is your twin brother", she said. Benny and I looked at each other before I started laughing.

Hilarious

"Your mother is right. It all started 18 years ago" my dad said.

"Um, I think my parents should be here for this" Demitrey said

"Sure," my mom said with a smile while my dad kept glaring at him. He left to call his parents. I kept pacing to the extent that I was sure I'll set the rug on fire. About an hour later, Mr. and Mrs. Wolf arrived. I have to say, Demitrey is the exact copy of his father. The only thing of his mother he has is his eyes.

"Aaron", Mr. Wolf greeted my dad hesitantly and with guilt.

"Damien", my dad all but spat.

I also saw Mrs. Wolf awkwardly greet my mom who didn't seem like talking to her.

Demitrey narrated what happened to his parents and they both stared at me in shock.

"This is a tale that began years ago" the adults began

FLASHBACK TO EIGHTEEN YEARS AGO

Bluemoon clan and Redmoon clan were friends turned rival clans. Both saw themselves as the head of all werewolves. They both had strong and great warriors, large wealth and riches, money and powerful aura no other clan or pack has. You can say they were blessed by the moon goddess herself. The alphas of both clans, Aaron Bluemoon of the Bluemoon clan and Damien Wolf of the Redmoon clan used to be best of friends. Both basically became friends while they were in their mothers' wombs. Whatever they did, they did together. They were so close, most people mistook them for brother and other clans were cautious not to offend neither of them for they always had each other's back. Due to their closeness, it was no surprise both their mates took a liking to each other. Due to their love for each other, they held their mating ceremony together. Things were going smoothly until one day.

As usual, Aaron and Damien were hanging out when an old woman came up to them and said, "the strongest of you will be the Alpha of all alpha while the other will fall and beg at his feet". This angered the young alphas but they kept on being friends. However, the old woman kept appearing to them separately, causing them to doubt and dislike each other. Their friendship reduced, both alphas and their mates. Things however became rosy again when both of their mates became pregnant. The young alphas came together to celebrate the news. A few months later, their mates gave birth. Alpha Damien had his son Demitrey two months before alpha Aaron had his twins, Benjamin and Arianna. They were both over the moon that they threw a party, as usual, together. During the party, the old woman showed up to them separately again and instigated them against each other, Things became a lot tense between both clans that every other clan felt it. Two years later, Beverly, Aaron's mate became pregnant again. A few months after she realized she was pregnant, Kendall, Damien's mate also became pregnant. Months later, Damien's patrol guards found a dead wolf from the Redmoon clan at the border. After inspecting, the Bluemoon clan mark was found on his body. This angered Damien. He thought Aaron had betrayed him so he decided to attack without investigating. He waited for the perfect opportunity. When he heard Beverly had given birth, he was ecstatic. The perfect opportunity had arrived. He attacked three days after the birth of baby Asher Bluemoon. The Bluemoon clan were taken by surprise so they couldn't defend themselves enough. Due to the sudden attack, Asher was killed and Benjamin was separated from his family. Aaron and Beverly sent out the best scout to find their little boy but it was all in vain. Heartbroken, distrait, betrayed and angered, Aaron sent his best warriors to hurt Damien just as he had hurt Aaron, so they killed Damien and Kendall's newest child, Dylan, who was born a few days after Asher. The Bluemoon then left California never to be seen again.

Few days after the Bluemoons left, Serenity, the Redmoon clan witch came. She rushed to stop the chaos but she was too late. Things had being destroyed. She narrated her vision to Damien. She told him everything was planned by that old woman who was a dark witch. She was planning to destroy werewolves. Serenity to him that the wolf that was found at the border was killed by the witch and she imprinted Bluemoon's mark on him to implicate them. Damien realized the huge mistake he had made but it was too late: the Bluemoon clan had left and Aaron had vowed to never forgive Damien.

One week after the truth was revealed, Damien was going around the Bluemoon old pack when he saw a small boy. When he got closer, he realized the boy was Benjamin, Aaron's son. He was covered with white fur and the moon was shining directly on him. Damien realized the goddess was protecting him. He then took the child and decided to raise him as a way to lessen the guilt that had overpowered him.

By the time they were done with the story, they were all crying except the men. My dad still looked furious and was glaring at Damien.  It was too funny. 

I suddenly boost out laughing. They all gave me a look like I was crazy.

"Do you think I'm crazy? Werewolves? seriously dad? mom? I would have believed if it didn't sound like a story"
