CHAPTER ELEVEN

Demitrey's POV

I felt sorry for Ariana. I understand her pain. She must have really thought it's because we are mates that made us approach her. In the beginning, that was why we approached her, but as we all got closer, we realized she's a good person. We all liked her; especially me.

          ''f**k'', Benny growled as he smashed a table. We were back at our packhouse. The Bluemoons had asked Benny to stay but he had refused, leaving them hurt. He promised to go back though. I know the reason he came with us was to confront my parents. It was a lot to take in for him and Ariana.

          '' Why didn't you tell me the truth?'', he asked my parents, his eyes flashing blue. We all suddenly understand why his eyes flash blue instead of red, despite being a member of our pack - he never belonged here. 

          '' We were ashamed and guilty driven. Looking at you every day reminded us of what we had done. Countless times we wanted to tell you but we feared you'll show the same hatred your father has for us'', dad explained with guilt.

         Benny laughed humorlessly, ''do you really think I don't hate you? I do. I hate you so much. You are the reason I've lost almost 16 years of my life with my family. You are the reason I got separated from my parents and sister. You are the reason I don't have a younger brother. I hate you but I won't attack any of you because you brought me up'', he said with so much anger and venom. Ethan, Eric, Catherine, Bella and I remained silent. We all understood his pain. I can't imagine growing up without my parents. 

          ''I want to be alone '' he said as he walked away. Catherine was about to follow but mom stopped her.

          ''He needs to be alone. Let him get his bearing. You may be his mate, but your presence will only annoy him even more '' she said with tears.

          '' You really attacked your supposedly 'best friend's ' pack without investigating, Uncle?'' Ethan questioned my dad with disbelieve. My dad is the most cautious person we know. He always makes sure he gets all his facts right. Anytime rouges are caught, he makes sure they are interrogated three times by different warriors in order to avoid mistakes. So hearing he attacked without investigating surprises us.

         Dad looked away with guilt as mom pacifies him, ''Aaron was an amazing friend. I remember doing some crazy things while we were teens and he will always cover up for me. Sometimes, I'll do very stupid things that'll get me in trouble and he will do it too so we could get punished together. '' he said with a sad smile on his face. '' when the witch began to appear to us, I knew Aaron will never betray me so I never thought too Mich about it. Aaron will always say 'oh she's saying rubbish, we both know we are the strongest pack when combined' he never paid attention to her. But after a while, I began to get worried. Aaron is a strong wolf and his pack was very powerful, even when he denies it, I knew his pack was stronger than mine. I began to doubt his friendship. Different elders influenced me, making me doubt him but I trusted him, till I saw the dead wolf. I was enraged. I felt betrayed. I began to think my fears came to pass. The witch and the elders made matters worse. They kept influencing me till I snap. Till today, I regret my mistakes deeply. I always wish I could turn back time. After they left, I searched for them. When I realized they had moved here, I decided to move our pack here too. I didn't know where his pack was exactly but I knew he was here. We had bonded our wolves as friends when we were little so we could always find each other but when I tried to link him through our bond, but I couldn't. It seemed like he had shut off his bond. The bond is still there, he didn't break it but it shut it off. But now that I've found him and his family again, I will set things right. You are mated to his daughter, right? That will help us become closer again '' he said with so much hope.

          Ethan scoffed, '' that is if he allows his daughter to mate with him. Besides, Ariana hates us''

He was right, I doubt he will let his daughter mate with the son of who destroyed his pack and killed his son. Even Ariana seems to hate us at the moment, I doubt she will even want to be with me. But I will make her mine.

          No matter what.
