Alexander's POV

After Olivia quickly dressed and hurried out of the room, I went to the kitchen knowing I'd find someone in there. I found Lilly in the kitchen peeling potatoes, Lilly is the total opposite from Olivia. Just like her parents, Lilly has blonde hair, but has her mom's blue eyes and not her dad's gray ones.

Lilly looks up to see it's just the two of us, "Hey, I'm glad to see your still alive and with your skin intact." She says.

I just look at her with a confused look. She simply just rolls her eyes, I'm clearly missing something here.

"I heard you sneak into Liv's room last night after the party." She explains.

"Yeah, she's my mate. And wait how do you know?" I stop to ask.

"Your in a house full of wolves, and my room is right next to Liv's." She shrugs.

"I'm still confused why would my skin not be intact?" I ask.

She rolls her eyes again, puts down the peeler and pulls up her skirt showing me the outside of her right thigh. There was a very thin scare about four inches long. The scare is perfectly healed only leaving a white line in her skin.

"The first and last time I tried to get into the same bed as Liv, she cut my thigh with a silver knife. So for you to not end up with some kind of mark or bullet in your head is kinda surprising." She say and goes back to peeling potatoes.

I am thoroughly worried about my mate now. I mean I know she is strong and tries to handle thing herself. This just bring up a lot more unanswered questions than answers. I continue to walk through the halls with no place to go to in particular, I find myself in front of Jack's office. I can't help but listen into their conversation.

"Why are you showing me this? You know I want nothing to do with Danny Matthews. Not now, not ever!" Olivia's angry voice all but shouts.

I try to listen for more, but like all the other Alpha's a sound proof office is a must. Just like my office unless there is yell no one can hear a thing. I wait to hear more of the conversation but all that I get is silence, I'm about to give up when I hear Olivia shout again.

"Why do you have this? Do you know how dangerous this is? If the person that attacked the pack that I came from came looking for me the whole pack would be in danger because of this." Her voice say with a hint of panic.

At that moment my phone chooses to vibrate in my pants pocket. I look at the caller Id to see that is Cole. I'm less worried about him giving me bad news than I am of my mother trying to call me again. I move away from the door and answer my phone.

"Hey, Cole. What going on?" I ask.

"Just need to know if you're going to be back in two days for the meeting with the Alphas." He says.

Crap I completely forgot about that.

"Yeah, I'll be back for the meeting with my mate." I say pinching the bridge of my nose.

"Already, and can you please call your mother. She has called 15 times in the past 3 hours looking for you." He say sounding despite.

"Ugh, you know how much I hate talking to my mother." I say knowing she is going to talk for at least an hour.

"Well it's better for you to talk to her than for her just to show up, again." He complains.

"Fine, but I need you to dig up some information on Danny Matthews and Olivia, my mate."

"You got it boss." He says

I gave him a few more orders, than hang up the phone and put it back into my pocket. Jack's office door opens and Olivia walks out. She stops for a moment seeing me outside of the door. She huffs and walks away. f**k, now thing are starting to get out of hand. My phone rings once again, and it's my mother again. I don't have the time to listen to her right now, I need to tell Jack's about us leaving soon.

I walk into his office to see him putting away some files.

"Hey, Jack. I thought I'd give you a heads up that me and Olivia will be leaving in two days. Some of my man will be here in the morning to pick up her things, if that is okay for you." I say running a hand through my hair.

"Yes, it's okay." He says and I beginning to leave. "But, Alexander, everyone have skeletons in their closets. Olivia's are just a little more real. So, you hurt her and I'll rip your balls off and feed them to the wolves."

"I wouldn't expect anything less." I say leaving his office.

I hear laughing and talking in the kitchen. I wait just outside of the kitchen door listening to them talking. I tell the relationship between Lilly and Olivia is on of sisters. Based on the tone of Ally's words I can tell that she is very protective of Olivia as if she was her own pup.

"I have the mind to have those boy sent to the dungeons." Ally says sternly.

I feel myself smiling at how protective she is. I can't help myself as I walk into the kitchen.

"Well, Olivia fights better than most of the men I know. And she gave me a few bruises of my own." I say lifting up may shirt.

All the women in the room seem to stop at that moment to look and ogling my body. Naturally, male wolves are fitter with more muscles than the females. I'm proud of my body because I take every spare moment I have to workout. I hear a low growl making my wolf whine.

Mate is not happy about you showing off your body. Zach pouts.

Without a second thought I put my shirt down and walk over to her. I wrap my arm around her waist pulling her closer to me.

"It's alright, sweetheart. Calm down." I whisper to her.

I feel her body tense up and relax. She blinks a few times and shakes her head. She hops off the counter pushing my arm away from her. I immediately miss the connection of her body against mine. She grabs a stack of dishes and leaves to the dining room. I try to follow her but Ally stops me.

"Give her some space to sort out her thoughts. She's use to being in control but the mate bond seems to be effecting her more than she thought" Ally explains.

I keep my distance, but I still watch her move with confidence as if she owns the world or at least mine. I help Ally bring out food and set them on the table. Soon the room is full with hungry wolves. I sit across from Olivia. Some pack members come in and eat than leave and some just make a plate and leave.

I seem to be the center of the attention as I get ask question after question. I try to answer most of them but there are some I can't answer. If I did the future of my pack could be in danger. I know I'm known for being a killer, a play boy, and a argent boy that is too young to be Alpha.

I do answer the easy questions like how big is my pack, how many warriors, and etc. I did give a brief history of the pack without giving away too much information about the last hundred years or so. That is what is keeping my pack alive, because if they found out the truth we all could die.

The questions quickly got personal and I could see Olivia listen to the conversation more. But as soon as a red head ask asked about s*x, Olivia got up and left. I quickly excuse myself and as I leave I hear Ally chastising the red head. Ally reminders me of my mother but in a more mama bear way.

I walk into the kitchen waiting for her to scenes me, but she doesn't. I see her tighten her grip on a knife in the sink. I put my hands on her hips, her body relaxes. She puts the dish to the side to dry and turns to face me.

"What?" She asks with a straight face 

"You look sexy when your mad." I say seeing the fire in her eyes.

"What, I'm not mad." She lies.

"Uha and I'm a unicorn." I says pulling her closer to me so we are almost flush with each other.

"Whatever." She huff trying to walk away from me.

I holds onto my arm, "Jack had some boxes sent up to your room for you to pack. I'm going to be down in the basement for an hour or two. If you need me just come and get me." I says before kissing her temple and leaving for the basement.

I take the stairs to the basement to see only a few fighters sparing. I take off my shirt, I'm glad I decided to wear lose jeans. I wrap my hands before head over to a punching bag. I throw a few fist than a kick, than a fist and a few kicks. I slowly start to breathe heavy and my wolf slowly emerges. I throw a powerful punch breaking the punching bag.

"Well looks like you know how to handle yourself, Alpha." A female voice says.

I look to see the basement empty and the red head from dinner in front of me now.

"I'm an Alpha, I protect my pack." I say as I walk pass her.

She holds on to my arm stopping me, "You look like you need some fun, I can help you with that." She says trying to be seductive.

"No, thanks I'm good." I say shrugging her off heading up the stairs.

I make it half way up the stairs when my phone rings, I hurry to make it outside the pack house and into a wooded area. I call Cole back know he found something.

"Hey, I got bad news and badder news. Which do you want first ?" Cole says sounding tired.

"Bad news." I say.

"Bad news, there is no exists of a Olivia Ames until she was found at the border of the Sun Moon Pack. The report say that the beta found a two year old almost frozen to death. The pack doctor's report said that if it wasn't for the alpha than she'd be dead." He says sounding shocked by his own words.

I didn't know what to say or do. I sat down at a base of a tree. "Badder news?"

Cole stays silent for a moment, "Danny Matthews was accused of attempted rape of a girl. The girl's identity was concealed because she was 15 at the time. The Alpha's statement says the girl was lead off pack territory. Danny had attempted to take off her clothes with a silver pocket knife. The doctor's report says the girl had a cut on her abdomen and was lucky she didn't bleed to death or rip her intestinal lining open. She was also seen by a psychologist that said she has a small form of PTSD, high anxiety levels, and trust issues. There was a statement of a council member being there to witness the Alpha's punishment of Danny. The Alpha banished Danny from his pack, but because he was still a miner he was sent to their sister pack, the Howler Pack. Danny was forced to see psychologist, they diagnosed him with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia."

He finally finished and my mind is going a million miles a second.

"Thanks Cole. We'll be home soon, hold down the fort for me." I say trying to sound calm.

"You got it Alpha." He say that he phone goes dead.

My mind races of a minute until I feel it click in place. The girl that was attacked suffered damage to her abdomen and Olivia has a scare on her abdomen. Wolves tend to heal from scare unless there caused by silver or repeated abuse. Could Olivia be the girl Danny attacked?

I feel sadness, rage, and helplessness for not being able to save my mate. I head back into the pack house and straight to my temporary room. I shower and dress in sweats and a black t-shirt. I take a few minutes to compose myself before walking into her room. She sat in her closet going throw clothes.

I take the moment to admire her beauty. I am physical attracted to her, but I like the cute way she chews on the right corner of her bottom lip. Or how she puts her hair in a messy bun and gets irritated at the little baby hairs that tickle her neck. I don't think she sees just how beautiful and attractive she is. I am too focused on her I don't see the dress she throws my way.

"Uh as much as I like this dress, but I'm pretty sure it's not my size." I say holding a see through red dress

I watch her look up to me holding the dress she throw at me in front of me. I see her smile and shake her head at me.

"Just put it in that pile of clothes over there." She tells me.

"Why? I like this dress." I says thinking of her wearing it.

"Yeah, but what will happen if I wear that dress out with other males around." She counters.

I growl not wanting anyone to see what is mine.

"Yeah, that's what I thought." She say making my growling stop.

"I meant for you to wear it for me and only me." I says.

"I have other clothes that are far more entertaining than that dress." She say putting a hand on my chest, teasing me and hell if it works.

I have a strong argue to bend her over my knee and spank her bare ass. I don't know if it would do more harm than good at the moment.

"When are we leaving for your pack?" She asks.

"I would like to leave the day after tomorrow. My pack is having some rogue problems and I would like to get back before the full moon in a few days." I explains.

She asks questions about my pack, like who is who and in and out of the pack. I tell her what I can, but right now is not the time to tell her about the pack's dark past. We talk a little more but eventually we head our separate ways. I kiss her on the forehead before leaving her for the night.
