Chapter Nine The day after John arrives in London, Tara answered a knock on her door. To her disbelief, Antonio is standing there, holding a bouquet of flowers. Before she can close the door, Antonio drops to his knees, tears in his eyes. He begs her forgiveness and tells her he has come to apologise for the disgraceful way he treated her. Tara doesn’t want to talk to him. However, his sweet words sound genuine, so she accepts that he means her no harm. Given this, she lets him into the house.
