17.something wrong with CEO

Next day .

Sky has been waiting since morning to receive a call from angel , but there has been none.

Even when sky messaged her good morning , her reply was only good morning.

Sky kept thinking about her the whole day ,and kept questioning himself

‘is she busy?’

‘did she forgot our conversation from last night ?’

‘am I to clingy ?’

‘does she think I am pestering her?’

‘but didn’t grandma said that I have to make her get used to my presence in her life?’

‘I should just call and ask her ' sky decided and about to dial the phone but stopped at second thoughts.

He thought he called first last night also .. and what if she thinks that she made a mistake giving me her number because I am always disturbing .no no let’s wait sky thought to himself .

Sky heard a knock on the door .

“come in.”

“sir board members are waiting for you in the conference room.”nick announced as soon as he entered the room .

“okay lets go”sky could feel a headache coming but still he has to face those old hypocrites .

2 hours later .

In the conference room few board members are arguing over the fact that whether the deal with melisa Brown was beneficial or not .

Sky find this funny because they are the same people who last time suggested we should find a way to cooperate with melisa Brown.

But he won’t argue with them because he has been used to their hypocrisy by now and know how to handle them.

Nick was sitting beside sky and he has already noticed how many times sky has massaged his forehead in past 2 hours .but he as a personal assistant also don’t know how to stop these board members from changing a conference room to fish market. But still he has to do something ,this is his duty.

So nick took a deep breath and stood up and spoke ..

“everyone I think you should calm down and continue the discussion in a civilized manner.” Though nick spoke humbly but following sky for years like a shadow has its own side-effects like his aura and tone has turned very much similar to sky’s.

Sky nodded his head on Nick’s suggestion but a old member chose to ignore it and even started targeting nick.

“so now a mere assistant like you will order us.” And hearing others also started focusing their anger on nick .

“did you forgot your place nick ..you are a mere servant .”

“yeah , just like your father but atleast he knew his place .and” just because CEO treats you well doesn’t mean you will dance on our head ”

Nick was angry but he couldn’t do anything he just stood there and clenching his fist enduring the humiliation…he wish he could tell all these people that his father was not a servant but he is the best friend of Mr Arthur Ryder .he can’t because this is a secret that he can’t even mention to sky ,his boss..

Sky heard them all .he couldn’t take it anymore as even though nick and sky were not close , they have worked together for years ,and no one can do work better than nick in this company, he is determined, hardworking and a very competent employee of the company.

Sky banged the table with his palms and roared

“SILENCE!”

Everyone was shocked , including nick but even so they obliged and stopped talking .

“IS THIS MEETING ABOUT MY ASSISTANT OR THE COMPANY?” Sky continued to speak in the annoyed tone.

One of the board members raised his hand to speak but before sky could allow him to speak ..a ringtone was heard echoing in the room.

Everyone was paled before last time when someone’s phone rang in the room he was dismissed from the meeting and was given a heavy warning.so everyone was looking at each other thinking who is going to suffer today .

But what happened next was even more shocking .

As all of them saw take out his phone from his suit jacket and smile while glancing at the number .and not only this but sky also picked up call and started talking sweetly and softly.

[Hey!] Sky spoke .

[Hello, how are you doing ?are you busy?] Angel replied.

[I am good , not at all ,I am free .what are you doing?]sky replied ignoring all board members whose eyes might fall out of their socket anytime now .

[I am good too and been thinking about you .] Angel finished with a giggle .

Sky blushed a little and then spoke in a teasing tone .

[About me.huh?]

After saying this sky stood up and waved at nick telling him to dismiss the meeting and walked out of the room leaving all the people present in the room thunderstruck.

And though nick was stunned for a second but after following sky for so long he could easily guess who might be on call right now .so he hurriedly carried out sky’s instruction and announced meeting dismissed and left later.

But after nick left the room was filled with questions and gossips.

“what happened to CEO?”

“he was so angry right now how can he be so sweet on call?”

“is something wrong with the CEO,he is not his usual self.”

“how can he say he is free ,when we were in the middle of the meeting.”

Among all the questions one female board member spoke .

“I think our CEO has found a girlfriend.”
