20. full of void

The next day

Angel woke up early in the morning and started sorting her old designs and new designs . After arranging the designs ,angel Carefully selected the best five ,keeping sky in her mind .and decided to present them to sky today .

Angel was extremely excited and nervous since her conversation with sky late night,she can’t believe that sky has personally agreed to be her model.she has prepared a pretty summer dress to wear today to meet sky and when she thought of going to his office , the scenes from last time kept replying in her mind turning her face red like tomato.

There was knock on the door when angel was lost in her imagination, angel hurriedly patted her face to calm her emotions and opened the door.

“Hey fairy!what took you so long huh?” ash gave Angel a light hug and questioned suspiciously.

“nothing” angel replied avoiding eye contact.

“hey ! hey! Are you hiding a boy in your room ?” ash asked seriously and started investigating her room.

“ash come on,its nothing ,you know that.” Angel spoke in self depreciating tone.

“okay okay ,I know ,you only have the CEO in your heart ❤️”ash spoke softly consoling her.

“hey , don’t say that ,we are still friends .” angel replied

“just friends my a*s, I am damn sure he is into you angel .”ash spoke confidently

“and you like him too already” he added

“do you really think he likes me?” angel spoke doubtfully as she sat down on the bed.

Ash walked towards angel and stood infront of her and held her shoulders while she continued sitting on the bed edge.

Ash looked at her worriedly and expressed his views

“angel I know he is into you for sure ,but what I doubt is his intentions.you are sure beautiful and adorable but still in front of him you should be just one of the girls , he is the great CEO while you are just a student who belong to a middle class family .the world of riches is sure confusing and a lot complicated .I worry about you . I am worried that sky might be one of those bad guys and he might hurt you or use you.”

“ash , thank you so much ,you know I love you right.” Angel spoke emotionally

“ don’t thank me fairy , just tell me you love me more than your CEO crush ” ash joked

“shut up , ash”angel exclaimed and started punching ash.

They started running and playing around the room.

“okay ,okay ,now have you decided what to wear today?”Ash asked panting

“oh right ,I am going to wear a blue summer dress ? today .”angel replied with smile

They both smiled , and then ash spoke

“be careful , and don’t turn off your phone , inform me as soon as you reach there and call me when you are done ,I will pick you up from his office.okay.”

“Yes boss!”angel saluted ash

Then laughed .

“I am leaving mom dad ” angel waved at her parents and headed towards Ryder empire.

In sky’s office

Sky telecomed nick for the 5 th time since the morning and this time even before he could ask ,nick replied.

“she is not here yet sir.”

Sky ended the telecom and started twirling in his chair . thinking did she forgot our arrangement?.no maybe it’s just traffic .

Sky took a deep breath and ordered a cup of coffee . After drinking coffee he tried to focus on work .

20 minutes , the door of sky’s office cabin opened , he tried his best to hide happy smile that emerged as he anticipated angel’s arrival but what greeted him was a bunch of files thrown on the table with a bang.

Sky thought ‘what the hell?who dares to disrespect him like this?’ .sky looked up and his angry stare was confronted with even more anry and hostile stare .

“what do you think you have done sky?” Linda Ryder yelled

“what do you think you are doing in my office Mrs Ryder?” sky yelled equally enraged.

“I am teaching my useless son !” Linda roared .

“why did you cancel all these contracts huh? Who do you think you are?”linda added

“I am the f*****g CEO of this empire ,and I have all the right to cancel any freaking contract” sky roared back

“and get out of office right now , because you don’t have the right to enter my office.” Sky added.

“I helped you become the CEO ,how can you talk to me like that?” Linda was beyond furious.

“Oh really ,then why don’t you just remove me from this position too” sky retorted sarcastically

“ what’s the reason behind cancellation of the contracts , answer me?”linda asked

It was this moment that Arthur barged in and spoke out loud after closing the door.

“why are you making a fuss in the office? Haven’t you received the news that one of the partner we cancelled the contract with , is behind the bars for hit and run case?”

“so what huh? Is it something new ? So many accidents happen every day ,are we going to keep records of everyone?”linda retorted .

“have you lost your mind, how can we possibly sign contract with criminals , what will happen to our hard earned goodwill after that.”arthur reasoned

“and if above person is not extreme , then what about the other partner who is charged under r**e case and office harrassment.”arthur added

Linda smugly laughed and spoke

“you talk like you haven’t done it before ?”

Linda knew that sky was Arthur’s weakness and her biggest trump card against the whole Ryder family , so after saying this Linda sinisterly smiled at Arthur and turned to face sky who was standing emotionless in the corner hearing there argument and spoke lightly with eyes full of hatred

“you know what I am referring to right? r**e case !”

Arthur was frozen in his place when he heard her words ,..then fists tightly clenched he spoke furiously

“shut the f**k up !”

“you can’t yell at me Arthur!” Linda spoke and acted as if she has gone mad .

She started throwing everything that was on the table and under the control of anger she kicked the chairs to the ground and then she picked up the coffee cup with the remaining coffee and threw it towards sky with hatred and shouted

“bastard ,bastard ,you can’t betray me ,you have to follow me ,I gave birth to you.”

The burn from that coffee help sky to recover from the shock ,he received just now but he didn’t show them any sign of physical or emotional pain and just continued to stare at his so called father with blank eyes.. eyes full of void.
