1. Michelle Point of View
It’s my first day in high school. All my life I have lived in this state and it doesn’t matter how many years pass I will forever hate the cold weather that arrives around this time. It’s my best excuse to stay under the warm covers, but today is my first day of school and hopefully things will be much better than last semester. For some reason I’m happy to be going to school. I shouldn’t but I am. Last year I had been paired with the cutest boy of the school that had just arrived from another town. Michael Fraser. A blonde, six feet and blue eyes that plays baseball at school. His entire body built of an athlete. Compared to me. A slim flat chested with a small bubble behind. My eyes are mostly brown but they can change into an olive color. With my light brown hair I look dull in comparison to the cute Michael. I’m a little bit of a trouble maker and I know I’m not the brightest student, but that doesn’t mean I quit. Being different is what gives me confidence and motivation to keep going on another day without feeling troubled. Ready in my knee length flowing jean skirt I pair it with my favorite ankle black boots and a simple positive quote shirt. Taking my favorite checkered jacket I hurry up to get myself down to the kitchen to grab and go to head to school. Reaching the kitchen I see my big brother and he is simply being a flirt to the girl of the week. As much as I hate the way he treats girls I’m glad he doesn’t hate me. I just hate being a tool sometimes. Taking a toaster strudel, I open the door to the garage that’s right next to the kitchen island right when Kody shouts for me. Seeing the school buss was getting closer I decided to take my bike and simply go to school with it. If everything goes fine I won’t be subjecting to any work from my parents that will take me away from hanging out today. Letting the school buss go without me I paddle to school that’s five minutes away from my parents house. Taking care of my bike in its usual hidden place I hear the bell ring and see the window to the library wide open. I sneak in without having anyone notice and then I heard the sexy voice that I swore was Cat Noir. Baby sitting my sister I heard that sexy voice and I don’t care what anyone says that kids show is too sexy with that character in it. I turn to see Michael Fraser. Staring at him I had my mouth wide open. We had taken class before last semester and was paired with two others for science class. We got along like friends but he wasn’t someone that drew me, until right now. I swear it’s like I’m watching that character Cat Noir in real life. His wavy blonde hair with bright blue eyes is the only difference but the guy is seriously hot and cute. He waves his hand in front of my face and speaks just like the character. “Earth to Michelle, you there?” Starting to blink fast but I was still dry of words. Michael was wearing a black biene that had the words ‘Omega’ written on the front, he had a tight fitting no sleeve shirt that showed all of his new muscles. Since when does an eighteen year old look like a f*****g football player in one damn semester? s**t he is hot as hell. My eyes focused on his cute pink lips and those cheekbones. His hair is parted in the middle unlike me who has her bangs and glasses. Since I stayed quite for so long he walked closer and poked my forehead making his eyes grow wide after I felt a shock run through my head from his poke. It did the trick at snapping me from staring at him. But now I felt more uncomfortable and I knew he would want to know what’s going on with me. Remembering school started I knew I would be late for my math class. “f**k, I’m sorry for staring but I gotta go, I’m as late as the white rabbit from Alice in wonderland. Talk latter Michael!” I will forever hate math and biology, but today Math got a hall pass at saving my ass from the awkward conversation. Entering the class I interrupted the teacher shed in her checking for the attendance, she glared at me with hate but then stopped herself to say. “Nice of you to joint us Mis Sunflower, take a seat, thank the lucky stars your last name hasn’t come up yet.” Letting out a sigh I gave my nervous smile as I scratched my head and looked at the teacher awkwardly. I needed to get to my desk and I’m so happy there was one on the entrance of the class in the third. For the rest of the first period of school everything went as normal as possible, the school is well known of who I am and who my brother is. Not to mention who my parents are. Both my parents are nurses and they met during work, my brother was an accident and I was too. Except it’s because of my brother they got married and stayed together because I came along. Despite that both my parents love each other more than I love eating pizza. They have a strange relationship that I can’t enough of. Dad pretends to constantly ignore mom, pissing her off till she confront him only to be delighted by his actions of small details. Dad has always been a smooth talker and moms hot temper keeps them happy together. Never did my parents wanted to divorce each other. The mystery of why my brother is such a ladies man is solved every time I remember about my parents. Getting my lunch for today I’m taken off guard with having my brother walk in front of me with a mischievous expression on his face. Kody is just like me. Light brown almost blonde hair that’s parted to the side. His almost 5 and 8 feet tall, and has an athletic body built because he plays basketball. That’s why he has a lot of girls after him. With his arms crossed he finally grins as he talks to me. “You and I have a party tonight and if you don’t me telling mom you almost didn’t make it to math you are coming with me as my wingman.” Groaning in annoyance I walked to the left to grab a strawberry filling thick bread and some to go cereal. Knowing for a fact I won’t have a say I’m also not going for trust what the hell the party might have. About to open the fridge to get a soda Mariarosa Star opens it to get something and pushes me to the side, before I could control my tray with burger and fries my shoe takes a slip from a French fry that must have fallen without me noticing. I fall to the ground but my tray with food falls all over Mariarosa. Seeing her covered in what was supposed to be my food she shrieks her screaming at me and takes the soda she had just taken to open it. Pouring it all over me I shout in shock. “This will teach you to throw your food at me!” Hoping this is just a stupid prank my worst fear happens when we all hear a guy scream from the center of the cafeteria. “Food fight!” That scream made Mariarosa turn nervously to her back and I took the chance to dart myself out of the cafeteria, the kitchen staff ran to try and stop the food fight to which I took full control and took another plate of the same food that had landed by accident while holding my soda bottle. Walking to the backyard of the school I feel an electrical and warmth feeling run by my arm and I turn to see Michael had been following me. Liam Point of View First day of school again—and unlike most people dragging their feet through the hallway, I actually liked it. I knew this school like the back of my hand. I knew who was dating who, who was failing math, who would cry before midterms, and which teachers were suckers for a well-timed smile. What I didn’t expect, though, was to feel something strange the moment I stepped into the cafeteria. I’d just passed through the back entrance, having spent first period doing Alpha prep with my dad, and walked in like I owned the place. Most days, I kinda did. Everyone in this school knew I was going to be Alpha one day, and that kind of legacy doesn’t come quietly. My father had warned me not to mess around this year, to focus more on leadership and less on girls. But he wasn’t the one stuck in a school full of hormones and egos. Then, out of nowhere, I caught the tail end of a commotion by the food line. Michelle Sunflower. I’d seen her around last year. She wasn’t popular—not in the usual sense—but people knew who she was. Her brother Kody was a flirt, a decent athlete, but always rubbed me the wrong way. And Michelle? She had fire, no filter, and the kind of reckless bravery that sometimes got her in trouble. Honestly, she was kind of fun to watch. And today, she was soaked in soda. From where I stood, I saw it all play out like a slow-motion movie. Mariarosa Star, bratty as ever, shoved Michelle. Her food tray flew, landed right on Mariarosa, and the girl freaked out. She dumped soda all over Michelle’s head like it was some scene from a teen soap opera. I should’ve stepped in—but I didn’t. Not at first. Then, as if the Moon Goddess herself wrote the script, some i***t yelled, “Food fight!” Chaos erupted. Fries flew. Burgers became grenades. And Michelle—Michelle bolted like lightning, already drenched and pissed off. Everyone else laughed, threw more food, but I saw something else. In her face. She wasn’t just embarrassed—she was tired. Tired of being underestimated. Of being used. I didn’t know what made me follow her. Maybe it was guilt. Maybe curiosity. Or maybe it was something else. When I got outside, I saw her walking to the edge of the school yard, tray in hand like she was reclaiming the moment. The sunlight hit her just right, catching the wet patches on her jacket. Her cheeks flushed, her expression hardened—but there was still something soft behind it. And that’s when I saw it. Michael Fraser. He’d beaten me there. Standing with that damn smirk and golden-boy charm, his eyes were already on her like she was the only girl in the world. I watched from the shadows of the doorway, unseen, silent, as he reached toward her arm. There was a flicker of light. A jolt between them. My jaw clenched. Mate. No one had told me Michael Fraser had found his mate like the rest of us. And definitely no one warned me that he would try to act like an Alpha when he was born an omega by being with his mate. The moment I found out he’d claimed Michelle Sunflower, even if they didn’t mark one another, I didn’t feel threatened—I felt challenged. Not by his strength, but by his ignorance. He didn’t get it. He didn’t understand what it meant to lead. To put your mate—your true, fated mate—above everything and everyone. I had Maya. My Luna. My future. And I would protect her, our future, and our pack—even if that meant reminding Michael every damn day that he might have love, but I had duty. And just like that, the air changed. The first day of school wasn’t about parties or status anymore. It was about power. And for the first time in a long time, I wasn’t sure if I’d already lost.
