The drums beat loud under the full moon in Black Moon Pack. Elena stood in the center of the circle, her hand shaking on her belly. She was two months pregnant. She had come to tell her mate the good news. She was smiling. Alpha Adrian Knox stood on the high stone, his face cold. His mother Margaret stood beside him with fake tears. "Elena Rai," Adrian's voice was like thunder. "My mother saw you with another man. You have betrayed your Luna oath. You are carrying another man's pup." The whole pack gasped. Hundreds of wolves staring. "No! Adrian, it's a lie!" Elena cried, tears falling. "I would never betray you! This is your child! I swear on the Moon Goddess!" "Silence!" Margaret shouted.
