Hell's Run Away Queen

Chapter 2: The War

The King gives off a devilish smile and agrees with her deal. The king rises from his throne as he spoke to his people that a war will start between Heaven and Hell, and if anyone dares to object to him, he will kill anyone who stands in his way.

The demons dare not question their king as they just cheer and praise him, along with welcoming a champion to their kingdom.

Over the years, two opposite universes start to prepare for the war. One that heaven was still in shock as to why Selena even dared to create. Her father was disappointed that he didn't get rid of her daughter sooner after his beloved wife died while giving birth to her.

Selena trained her hardest as she took her anger out on her father, her ex-spouse, and Heaven for being so foolish to believe a bastard that they had only just met.

When Nicholas sees her, he sees more potential in Selena, as he also witnesses her mana to be much more powerful than he thought. This made him wonder if she even knew her full potential.

“Interesting,” Nicholas though.

Years go by, and Hell welcomes Selena as one of them. Selena was happier living with demons, who have more common sense than the angels of heaven.

No matter what place you are born in, a living being still has the sense to choose to be good or evil, it doesn’t matter if you have a horn or halo, because, after her life, she has proven her judgment.

Because of Selena, Hell has become more powerful, and not only that, but somehow Nicholas and Selena were getting a lot closer to each other.

Sure, the other demons will just think it’s a business thing, but what the two have is much more than just business partners.

When the red moon strikes the day of the war, the two gaze into each other’s eyes and slowly kiss. Making them realize their feelings for each other.

"GLORY FOR THE KINGDOM OF HELL," All the demons respond at the battle zone.

The war horns begin sounding as the battle for glory, victory, and revenge begins.

The war is brutal, as both kingdoms have now been painted in blood, Yet Selena, who is raising the flag of Hell, commands the demons to kill whoever they please, instead of just her father.

"Because his head will be my present for our King," Selena grin while looking at her father.

This makes the demons cheer for commander Selena, as well as Nicholas who stands right beside her to help her achieve her goal.

After days, weeks, months, and even years of that bloodshed war, Hell has won the battle because of Selena's excellent leadership along with Nicholas giving his power to everyone in hell, making them more advantageous to winning this war.

As soon as Heaven is at their feet, Selena makes her father kneel in front of the King of Hell. This makes Nicholas very satisfied. He did not care for a weak pathetic man that called himself the all-mighty powerful being.

Nicholas just smiles as he looks into Selena. He starts walking towards her and holds her cheeks. Catching Selena by surprise yet making her smile.

"Are you satisfied, my angel? Heaven is finally at your mercy~" Nicholas says sweetly.

"Not yet. I want to achieve my entire goal... I want to claim back my crown and kill the bastard who framed me for my exile," Selena says with pure anger.

Nicholas nods and orders his troops to find the bastard that hurt Selena. The demons nod and begin to roam around Heaven to find him.

But little do they know... He was just hiding behind her, where he held a holy dagger that God had loaned him and he stabs Selena through her heart.

Nicholas witnesses it all as he grabs Selena and sees the damage it has caused. The dagger suddenly turns into a staff that he uses to heal all the fallen soldiers and command them to finally destroy hell once and for all.

"KILL EVERYONE IN SIGHT! AND BRING ME THE HEAD OF NICHOLAS," Trever said in a commanding tone.

Nicholas was in so much rage that his entire body was flowing with dark mana. The demons were slowly getting killed, making Nicholas look around in fear.

Then, he notices Selena holding his cheek as Nicholas looks back at her.

"I... I'm sorry," Selena smiled at her final moment with Nicholas.

With those final words... Selena’s body stop moving, and her hands fall to the ground. This makes Nicholas scream her name as his entire mana unleashes from his body. Surrounded by everyone around him and also getting killed, even his own people.

With that great power, the angels retreated, but the bastard was caught by Nicholas as he grabs him by the neck and finally kills him.

Hell receives victory, but with so much lost... They say once a war starts, you will experience many deaths, even your own, but what's more hurtful is seeing the person you love die in your arms.

Hell should have celebrated their victory, but how can they celebrate if the King is at his knees crying.

Not only that, but his body is slowly becoming weaker, since that bastard used so much strength to drain his powers, making Nicholas unleash it all at once, even if his life is at stake.

Using that much power came with the price of his life, yet he didn't care. In fact, he smiles as he knows he was at his end, so as he looks at Selena one more time, while facing the victory of his kingdom, he tears up a little and says his beloved angel's name.

"Wait for me Selena... will be reunited someday… I promise," he smiles. And falls to the ground, losing his final breath.

With the reign of the king gone, people from hell kneel to him along with Selena, and now pledge their loyalty to the Royal Family.

As generations have passed, people have long forgotten about the love story of a fallen angel and the Demon King, along with the war between heaven and hell.

Because millions of years from now, a new generation and a new love story would begin, that would either have the same fate or end in a more bitter life.
