“I can't do this.”
My eyes lit up to Kate's blue ones that were filled with worry. I coughed violently again and she rushed to my side, handing a cup of water which I swallowed big time into my system a few seconds later.
“You can't do what?” I questioned her once my fits were over.
Kate shook her head, frowning slightly and then sat down where my feet were supposed to be. She tugged on my comforter and looked into my eyes. It was as if she was going to ask me something, anything, but she didn't and simply looked away.
“What's wrong?”
“I can't watch you like this Sam,” She sighed heavily and stood from her place, arms flailing around like a lost kid. “I mean, you could at least just accept the transplant. There's no problem in taking it.”
