Midnight POV

Crescent, I hope you’re ok. You’re so foolish and naive. Don’t come back for me. We will get through this together. I will get out and find you. Watching her run, my heart was racing for her. I was scared she would get caught. I can still remember the golden dagger with a blue ribbon almost striking Crescent.

“Midnight,” said Vulmar “Midnight. Are you hearing me?” He pauses. He’s waiting like a dog for an answer.

“Dude, are you deaf?” Vulmar says,” Do YoU UnDeRsTaNd SiGn-LaNgUaGe?”

He makes some weird hand motions. Trying to get my attention.

She looked so beautiful dodging the dagger. She is the definition of beauty. If I die at least I know I had the most beautiful elf in the realm. I wish I could see her smile one last time. Hearing her laugh, it was almost like a bell ringing softly in your ear. I hope she’s ok……….

“AAAHHHHHHHH!”Crescent screams from a few miles away.

“Crescent!” I yelled.

I’m all sweaty. Hearing her screams made me nervous. What’s happening to her?

“He speaks, finally.” Vulmar says. “You ready to talk or do I have to torture you?”

“Torture me? For what information. I don’t have any.” I said.

He turns upside down and looks at Vulmar through the bars. Vulmar walks away angry. Midnight goes back to thinking.

Crescent, I miss you. I don’t know where I would be without you. I was an orphan when we met. She was like the sun shining on me for the first time. A good thing was happening. I saw her beauty. I fell in love with her like you fall asleep, all at once. She was the pride and joy of my life And now I have her to myself. I never knew my parents. I think they just didn’t want me. I was abandoned. I've been bouncing from home to home. Going to who will ever let me in. I'm thankful she found me and took me in. She showed me love when I needed it the most. I’m a were-elf. I lived in the woods with the wolves. I learned to become invisible. I slept on the cold, greenish-brown ground. I would have to generate my own heat.
