Chapter 12: Peculiar Village.

Jamnia's Point of view.

It was a couple of minutes that I indulged myself with the place's breathtaking view then it came to me that I was lost. I paused instead of panicking remembering how I got here but the violet trees and peculiar color of the place distracted me, you can add the new variations of beautiful flowers.

"Myles? Myles! Myleesss! MYLES!" I shouted then I sighed in defeat. "How can I go back?"

I smiled in despair, why did I even follow her?! Now I'm like a kindergarten waiting for my parents to pick me up. The worst thing is that I'm surely not inside the school premises and it's forbidden to do so without Headmaster Burdues, I'm doomed.

After minutes of debating with myself I decided to follow the trail leading to somewhere instead of just waiting. I admired the place even more as I ventured, there I stumbled upon a village far from technology and modernization. Houses are made of wood yet the villagers looked so happy and contented. Like the surroundings, the village also has a peculiar style of color. Why do I have a feeling that children are the ones who picked their design?

"It's cool that places like this exist!"

As I strolled around the village I saw a unique dog, it's fur has the same color as the sky at night. It's caged and the prison is made of wood, without thinking I rushed to the poor dog. Up close it's even more adorable, ugh I really love dogs! The dog gave me puppy eyes that made me feel better, my regret of wandering around faded. The dog gestured that I removed it's collar.

"You want me to remove this? You cute thing!" I asked the dog as if it could understand me.

It's doing it's best to convince me with it's wagging tail. I looked left and right doubting to do so, I just got here and I have no plans of getting in trouble. But my instincts tell me help the cute dog still, I don't want to be accused of being a dognapper. Ugh, (basta) I know that I don't have any evil intensions.

"Jamnia you should know your priorities! That is to find Myles right after you free this adorable puppy, so cuteeee."

My hesitation disappeared as my hands entered the wooden cage, I tried to unlock the dog collar but it's quite tight for my weak hands to handle. It was unexpected but the dog was able to reach the collar as I try to free him. The dog aggressively bit it's own collar, a strange dark light immediately surrounded the dog as it grew tremendously.

"My oh my..."

I was'nt in my sane self upon witnessing what was happening, the cute dog that I once loved was gone. It turned vicious like a wild animal, it's unique starry night fur turned pitch black. I stepped back while the people around stopped then shouted like a madwoman. I thought it would rip my head off like the vicious animal it is, unexpectedly it just looked at me like an unappetizing food and went on its way.

That's good right?

The dog has rampaged the area, eating anything it sees. It's cuteness faded like how the smile on my face turned like a meme. I still couldn't process what has happened as the place was different from what it was earlier. Who would've thought things would turned out this way just because of my love for dogs!

"You just recklessly broke the seal, that dog is dangerous." A familiar tone, it was that husky voice.

H-how?

How in the world did he get here? I was with him earlier! It's even irritating how he acts like nothing happened!

"What are you doing here Jamnia?" Myles, it was Myles reaching her hands towards me. I was still in a state of shock and unknowingly reach for her as well. "Jamnia?"

"Myles, thank God! I was looking for you like nuts anyways you looked suspicious earlier sooo I followed you."

"You serious?" It was Jasper.

He is also here trying to tame the wild dog that I've, not willingly but accidentally freed. The sea of people around the area faded like it was a ghost town, the four us were the only ones around.

"Go back to Delphaize Academy." Clim commanded me with authority.

"I can't."

"I said go back."

"I don't k-know the way back, I was actually lost."

"Yet you're already causing trouble." I smiled like an innocent child, I'm such a misfit.

"Why are you even here?!" I shouted.

Who does he think he is?!

"Headmaster Burdues gave us a mission to find and solve the illegal transaction of dangerous Umbral and Astral animals here. I came here immediately as I can, does that answer your question?"

"Nosy."

As much as I can I shouldn't interact with him so I gave all my attention to Jasper who's enjoying himself fighting the vicious dog, such a warfreak.

"The dog you freed Jamnia ain't ordinary, it's an Umbral Hound. You broke the seal, why?"

"The dog wanted me remove it's collar so I did."

"You what?" Myles exclaimed as if what I said was unreal.

She dashed towards the Umbral Hound as Jasper is having a hard time dealing with it while Clim continues to irk me off. He keeps staring at me like a perv, how to escape situations like this?!

"Weapon Magic: Incandescent Sword." Jared casted as a glowing white sword conjured in his hands. "Let's see who has the last laugh!"

"Perfume Magic: Magnificent Scent." A blue color instantly surrounded Myles aswell as Jared, it enchanced their agility. "Perfume Magic: Sleeping Aroma, second form dagger." Myles said using the same combo she used on Jyshyr.

The glowing white sword that Jasper owns has done a lot of damage, it can release a glowing light which I think is the Umbral Hound's weakness.

"Get a load of my power!"

The enormous dog tried to escape but an earthwall large enough to block the enormous dog appeared stopping it's exit.

"Don't kill it Myles."

Clim and Jasper then teamed up, the dog back down. Their every move was a synergy, ugh the perks of being long time teammates. As I admired they're combat prowess I distance myself as it was the only useful thing I could do. I sighed, yuh.

In my lowest moment Myles uplifted my mood as I was amazed how she confidently jumped from one building to another as she sneaked at the dog's back. Waiting for the right time Clim and Jasper successfully cornered the Umbral Hound, Myles then took the opportunity to make a small cut on it's back. The energetic hound immediately was weakened, it sat in the ground and unexpectedly fell a sleep. Myles immediately put the same collar that I broke on the dog's neck. The dog became the cute puppy that I adored, I was in bliss. My legs betrayed me like nothing dangerous has happened, I pat it's head. Can I seriously keep this cute thing?!

"The mighty Jasper has yet won another round!" Jared said as proud as he can.

"Let the dog go Jamnia." Clim said, I wanted to hold the dog but Clim has the authority so I let it go. "Myles, you carry the dog."

Myles got the dog walking away along with the two not giving me a time to bid my farewells. I tried my best to keep up with them but they were too fast for me. Curse that enhancement that Myles gave them! Now, I'm like a dog following them.

"Wait for me! Don't leave me alone in this ghost town!"

Shit! They're already too far!

"Thank you Sir, we'll investigate furthermore tomorrow." Clim replied like he was a well mannered kid and forced a smile.

"Plastic." I whispered, Clim gave me a glare so I did the same fake smile.

The village chef left along with the other leaders, we're currently in a secret base. The meeting was finally over after a long deliberation, they let out their problems and worries. Many villagers has been suffering and dying because of the illegal transactions. The village is currently the perfect place to smuggle dangerous animals, the lack of security aswell as the strength of the villagers here makes it more suitable for doing illegal stuff. Those dangerous animals are pretty expensive, they can even be used in war so many are interested to buy them. The merchants of the Umbrals and Astral stood aside there differences to do some illegal stuff, how ironic.

I was a looking like a pitiful woman earlier beging for some love from an underserving man as I pleaded that I still don't want to go back to school yet, this situation is perfect to find some clues! I can really use the information to find a way back. Good thing Headmaster Burdues gaved the approval when we called earlier, it's angering how they intentionally left me. Just because I'm from another team they'll treat me bad, such ungentleman peeps! Myles was the only one I could have a proper conversation, the other two were dingles!

"Are we done? Someone like me should have proper meal, my poor babies need protein." Jasper said flexin' his biceps, sheems I'm creeped.

"Let's go then, we still need to find a place to rest for the night."

We left the area full of guards, it might not seem like it but the place is actually high-tech. The dangerous animals they found are kept here for safety and protection.
