-- Third Person's POV. It was a normal Monday morning, everyone did their daily routine. Students stressing themselves out, hurrying to school. A car stopped as a young girl with deviant features saw students hurrying their asses off, the classes were about to start. "I'll be going." She said as she kissed both her parents. "Take care sweetie." "Goodluck in your speech, we're proud of you!" "Thanks Dad, I'll do my best!" She had that smile on her face that loves her parents. "This weekend let's celebrate outside, pick any fancy restaurant you want!" "Mom! Dad sure has the guts." She teased. "That's fine sweetie, I myself miss eating in fancy restaurants." Their laughter filled the air, it's like no problem could ever occur. "I'll pick you up before five thirty, inform me if your gonna do some school work." She nodded as a response. "Bye, have fun in work!" Jamnia was a lucky girl having parents like them, even with their busy schedule they bonded everytime they could. She breathe in and out as she went inside the school premises. Many students greeted and smiled her, she did the same. "Jammy!" "Althea!" Their loud screams were heard in every part of the corridor. Filled with excitement, both rushed to each other as today is a special day. "Today marks the three hundred sixty fifth day of your love for each other Jamnia. I'm so happy for you two, still, nothing last FOREVER!" Jamnia's bestfriend, Althea yelled in kilig getting the attention of every student on their path. "Don't be such a bitterhater, Mark has been pursuing you like ages ago. Date him already!" "I won't! Dustin your boyfriend will only be my first and last man!" "You still want to a side chick? I really don't have plans to share Dustin." She uttered sarcastically. "Really? I thought it was dramatic!" They laughed their lungs out as they walked to the school's quadrangle. After every grading period, students who excelled in their academic performance will be given recognition. Students from all grade levels gathered for today's special event, with the school's quadrangle massive capacity all grade levels were able to fit. Well, their school is the biggest and most prestigious school out there. It's renowned for it's high quality education, students who studied there already won numerous international competitions. Time flew fast, the ceremony already has begun. Students who where called proudly walked on stage with the achievement they've attained. Loud noise of cheering and clapping are the only things heard from the school quadrangle. "With high honors, Althea T. Marquez from section Zeus." Jamnia cheered for her bestfriend as it merrily walked on stage. After some terrible selfies for the i********:, Althea immediately headed to her bestfriend. "I wish I had beauty and brains like you Althea!" Jamnia said bowing as if worshipping Allah. "Is that a joke? You and Dustin had the highest average possible. Tch, lovers copying each others homework!" "Yeah! Couple goals, we have it!" "Well Dustin still isn't here, maybe he chicken out." Jamnia rolled her eyes as her bestfriend laughed. Both of them stopped as their school principal, Mrs. Alvarez went on stage. With the serious look on her face, it seems something important will be announced. "Students, please be quiet." The then concert like shouts of the students became silent. "Today, I will give recognition to our school's pride and the most promising students. They have the potential to enter and win some international competition outside the country. The two of them are the only students who almost got the average grade of one hundred percent, unfortunately it's forbidden to give grades like that. So please make them as a rolemodel in your journey here at our school." "With highest honors! May I call onstage my dear student, our SSG President, Maria Jamnia Tualla!" The teacher announced as the students yelled like protesters angry for change. "Is that hoe for real? She's perfect in many ways!" "I wish I could be her..." "Dude, I wish I could date her, she's the perfect package!" "Yup! Gorgeous, talented, intelligent and has some big olala..." "You're just chickening out Dude!" Students created a path for her walk through like a royalty, she eventually felt overwhelmed of what's happening. A social introvert like her couldn't handle all the attention. As she walked all eyes was on her, she immediately covered her face with her thick long hair. Pure bliss was on the face of both the teacher and the Principal as they handed the certificate. "Our SSG President will give a speech, I hope she'll inspire you all to strive harder." The waves of student immediately went silent, their like a tamed beast. Jamnia never felt more nervous in her life, she needed to calm herself for a better delivery. She knew she'll encounter moments like this, even with preparation she still was overwhelmed. Looking at the thousands of students she held the microphone tighter and smiled the best she can. "Good Morning my fellow students!" She greeted hiding all her anxiousness. "I know some of you might think how intelligent I am but that's not the case. It's not as easy as you think it is, I can't have high grades without making an effort to achieve it. I strive hard everyday to not waste my parents efforts for me to have a great future. The same thing goes for all of you, you can get anything you want if you all work hard enough. For me, being intelligent isn't enough to achieve greatness, being a hardworking person is also the key. Go, find that path and strive hard to achieve the dream that might seem impossible to reach!" Ignoring all the praises Jamnia received she stood beside Mrs. Alvarez silently as it continues to announce. Her face glowed after seeing the person she was waiting for the very start. It was her boyfriend, with manly features it could attract anyone. Jamnia was shocked for what he did, they both promised to keep their relationship from everyone instead he hugged her publicly. "Babe, you're speech was lit." "Shhh, they'll hear you DUSTIN!" "They will." Jamnia's eyes intently looked at the guy, she wasn't ready for the things that's gonna happen. Dustin proceeded to receive his excellence award, girls couldn't help but daydream of his godlike features. Well with his outstanding looks, it's not a doubt that his one of the campus heart-throbs. "Last but not the least, our SSG VICE PRESIDENT also will give a speech." "I offer this achievement to my parents who never doubted me and most of all, my girlfriend." The constant shouts for joy of his fans turn into sorrowful sobs. "She gives me the strength to be me and study harder for our future. Because of you I was able to achieve, we were able to achieve this! I love you so much Babe, Maria Jamnia Tualla. Happy First Anniversary and yeah this is my suprise for our first anniversary!" The whole place was eventually covered in confetti and balloons, members of the Supreme Student Government held long copies of sweet messages for Jamnia along with a projector projected their lovely photos and moments in life. Jamnia who was still in the state of shock couldn't do a thing as Dustin slowly walks toward her with a bouquet of flowers on his hands. Dustin looked somewhat a handsome Prince coming from a far away land coming to save Jamnia from despair. It's like the world stopped for the both of them, the constant shouts, the sobbing of some die hard fans were all suddenly gone. They could only see themselves throwing dreamy smiles at each other. Jamnia was red as tomato when she accepted the bouquet of flowers. On the otherhand the whispers all over the place weren't whispers anymore as their raging hearts could bare it. "Nani?!" "s**t, are they together?!" "Welp, we losers can't have anything we want anyways." "You'll be mine soon Dusttiiinnn! You're gonna regret this Jamniaaaaaa!" "You Dumbass!" Jamnia gently punched Dustin as she covered her face. "Don't you like it Babe? "I love it but it's too embarrassing..." "Actually, I had more plans but the school won't let me." "It's okay, thanks Babe! I'm very lucky to have you." Jamnia hugged her man with no doubt in her chest for the crowd to go wild. For once Jamnia didn't mind the people who were watching them, she was herself and enjoyed the moment. Maybe it's the best day of her life, it seemed too surreal to happen but it did. --
