Chapter 13: Saved By Him.

"Myles, let's grab some food! I'm hungry, famished actually." I exclaimed pointing at a cafe near us. I'm not surprised that it has a peculiar color design, anyways the building itself is okay.

She blankly stared at me like I was a little kid adding to her burdens. I smiled like the little kid she thinks I am, what am I supposed to do? We've been walking all day finding suspicious peeps or animals that are in danger but none in succession. It's boring to ask people with the same question where they respond to you the same answer again and again.

"Sure but you pay."

"Sure but let me borrow some money, I'll pay you when we get back." She eventually looked away in another direction. "Pretty please, it won't happen next time!"

"Let me remind you we're not on each others team."

"Then let's talk it out." I pouted like those anime girls, her facial expression changed drastically.

"Would you stop that."

"It's workinggg!"

"Just stop!" I smiled at her as she first went inside the cafe.

It's great that I've luckily teamed up with Myles, who knows what misfits might've happened to me if I gone with Clim or Jared. Currently both Clim and Jared are on the other side of the village scouting the area like the both of us.

The place has great wood furniture yet weird, it's peculiar color design suites the theme of the cafe. I'm pretty sure that Myles isn't loving this pink vibes inside the cafe, she even ordered without asking me. The food she ordered came which made my eyes shimmer, their food is colorful and unique aswell. This village ain't that advance but it's culture is rich, the place is very decent.

"This village is quite something."

"You can say that again." She replied as I was very fascinated by the cake that they offered. "Hurry up, we still have to patrol further parts of this area."

As I was about to get my first bite of the free delicious food but a sudden shockwave shook the whole place leaving us all shocked. Many appliances we're broken even the windows shattered, most importantly the cake that I was about to eat fell into the ground.

"My precious foooooddd!” Screaming on top of my lungs as if I lost someone important.

“Jamnia, let's go!” Myles was already outside the building.

"But Myleesss!” Myles gave me the look that I've never seen before it was terrifying, I immediately left the building. My mind couldn't stop thinking about my beloved colorful cake and what it tasted.

"Perfume Magic: Magnificent Scent." A blue colored scent surrounded the both of us. Suddenly I felt so light and agile, it feels awesome.

The dark smoke was the only thing visible in the once blue sky. Myles contacted Clim, she used the device that was given to them before the mission even started. Myles looked so serious, I then realized the urgency of the situation. They sure take the all this things seriously, they're devoted to save this planet after all.

"The Umbrals hijacked the secret base." I nodded as a response.

I really need to be serious this time around!

We swooped like super humans with super speed, I really feel like a superhero right now. As we arrived at the secret base, large tons of spiky vines were scattered around the place. I could her every explosion that's currently happening, the waves of magical attacks added to it. There were a lot of knights wearing black faded armor while the Armon Village's troops were totally outnumbered.

"Jamnia, hide!" Myles screamed, she was already far away from me which I didn't notice at all!

"I will, be careful Myles!" I sprinted the hell away from them. I don't want to be a burden to anyone else.

I hid around the trees far enough from the battlefield, from here I witnessed how Myles struggled to face against multiple Umbral Knights.

She should've summoned Aries, that'll turn the tides into her favor but all Myles did was dodge their unison attack. An Umbrel Knight along them had a topaz like key summoned a little bear with dark markings in it. It was vicious like the hound yesterday but compared to the little bear, it's off the charts.

"What is she doing?! Myles! Why aren't you fighting back?" I was panicking.

The little bear released some kind of dark beam from it's mouth, Myles evaded it without a problem. She distanced herself from the little bear but it ran towards her aggressively. It was able to catch up with her in a blink of an eye, Myles couldn't escape from it's large claws. The wound was deep, drips of blood stain her clothes.

"Fight back Myles! Use Aries, she can defeat that pesky bear!"

"Perfume Magic: Addictive Poison, second form Lance." Myles casted as a green colored Lance conjured right in front of her hands.

The fight went on, even with that wound she stayed calm. Myles then found a chance, she struck the bear using the poisoned lance in it's neck but unexpectedly it broke which made me scream. The little bear clap back at her, pounding her with it's cutesy little hand but that was enough to throw Myles meters away. I didn't hesitate to come her way but the little bear had more agility, reaching Myles before I could even do. The little bear opened it's humongous mouth ready to rip off Myles head.

"STOOPPP!" I screamed making the bear stopped, all of it's attention was immediately on me.

I saw Myles struggling to breathe, she looked pitiful. All that bruises and wound yet I hid there watching her. I really don't understand why she didn't fight back using Aries. With Aries she had a chance to win!

"Ursa Minor, finish her. It looks like someone also want to be your breakfast." The same guy who summoned the bear said.

"Jamnia, d-didn't I say hide?" I could feel the irritation from her voice.

"I know but I just can't leave you in a situation like this, we're friends right?" Just said the most cliche thing before conjuring my key to summon Virgo.

"Jamnia, don't summoned Virgo!" She exclaimed as if I'm going to do something wrong.

What? Why is she stopping me?

"Go little child, call upon your pitiful God then we'll see who has the last laugh." She playfully laughed acting like I'm a fool doing his biddings.

I immediately couldn't think right, the little bear with it's intimidating aura was coming my way. I don't know what to do, fear has eaten all my courage. I stood there doing nothing, I thought I could do something...

"Lava Magic: Undying Will of Flames." Seconds before I was in the bear's reach it was suddenly engulfed in flames. Black ashes scattered, the bear was nowhere to be found. "Friends huh? You're too innocent to say things like that." That same husky voice made me cry, I can't hold my fear anymore. 

Sitting down I sobbed not caring if I was in middle of conflict, I felt his presence beside me. Without giving a gaze I know his grinning, I don't have the dignity to face him.

"Weakling!" A familiar voice shrieked, the sound of slashing overwhelmed the place. He's enemies head was rolling no hope of getting justice.

"Keep that guy for me Jared, we need him." Clim pointed, he was referring to the same guy that summoned the bear. I'll deal with the rest, Lava Magic: Hellfire Golem."

The ground where we stood weakly shook, I glance at Clim. He's concentrating on summoning something, huge rocks have floated along with lava, the heat was excruciating. My eyes searched for Myles, I want to know her current condition. Not far, she's currently covered with golden colored scent right now.

"Don't worry about Myles, she's strong. She can heal herself, you should breath." He calmy said simply fixing my ruined face, you can add my ever present frown.

I avert my gaze from him and focused on the flaming humongous living rock that's currently battling the Umbral Knights. I hate myself as his annoying smile flashed in my head, I hate this photographic memory.

That arrogant face of his, someday I'll be the reason for your tears! But seriously! Does he really like me?!
