1142 Words
It's almost been a minute since I was slowly eaten by the sandy dessert. The intense heat coming from it is making me loss my consciousness, it can burn my skin if I stay any longer. I've tried to fly out of it but the pulling for of the quick sand is just too strong. Struggling would be useless, I'll sink faster I do more unnecessary movements. I breathe in and out thinking of the safest thing I could do. "Just hope this works." I said concentrating my magic towards my two hands, I've been trying to perfect this skill. It's more than a week since I've learned my TakeOver magic, I can conjure wings right out of my back and I can transform both my hands into something near a nature fairy would have. I still can't takeover as a full nature fairy but having these basic things will surely help me here. Mariss said that it was a great improvement for a newbie like me. I smiled in victory as both my hands transform into somewhat called fairy hands. I closed my eyes and imagined some large tree vines sprouting near me. The heat of the dessert and half of my body burried in the sand continues to make me struggle more but I have to be strong. After minutes of concentrating, I was successful. I immediately grabbed the tree roots I've sprouted near me, it sure is an unusual uccorance. Using all my upper strength I was able to pull myself out, not minding that more than half of my body was burried.in the. The training that I've gone through has really helped me, I would have been the first one to be eliminated here. Mariss, Aliah I will never forget you! I'm so thankful that I started to laugh than cry. After freeing myself from the horrid situation I flapped my wings fast, didn't have the time to hesitate. It's more likely that there are a lot of traps and obstacles in down there than here, my only enemy is the raging heat. As I roamed the skies above I saw nothing but sand, sand all over the place. Surely life here would be so hard, we kids mumble about feeling hot inside our premises. What more if we lived in a place like this? "What the..." An unexpected situation made me lower my flying heights, I won't survive if I fly through that. Flapped my wings as fast as I can away from the sandstorm ahead, I don't know what to do. -- Third Person's Point of view. "Looks like Zodiante Leo is on the lead, he is already in phase three of our obstacles. On the otherhand Zodiante Virgo is in the bottom spot. She's still on the first part of the obstacles, she's in a tight spot. Will Zodiante Virgo be able to survive that sandstorm folks?" "Oh, she's having a hard time breathing there Cholo. It looks like Zodiante Virgo isn't the only one in trouble, Zodiante Cancer is getting cornered by these robitic thugs." "Things sure are getting interesting here, who do you think shall dominate our first day today Samantha?" "I would likely pick Zodiante Leo, he has shown competency with the help of God Leo! How about you Cholo, who are you rooting for?" "What a turn of events! None of us weren't expecting this!" The host shouted in excitement along with the sea of viewers inside the Arena. His co-host sighed as her question was ignored because of the turn of events. "The place is moving! The place is moving!" "All the players have been teleported to a random spot, this is bad for those who had been leading while it's good for those like Zodiante Virgo." The blonde haired Emcee said in irritatingly, once again shading Jamnia. "You're right Samantha, all of Zodiante Leo's effort are put in vain. Will he still be able to lead the way and win this first match?" "Seeing his performance and a Leo myself I kn-." "Looks like we're gonna have some epic battle here! Some Zodiantes are in the same phase together while some are alone." Once again everyone on the audience shouted on the top of their lungs, all of them has that raging excitement to see some intense battle. Everyone wants the one they idolize to dominate and win the game. "The hell happened?" A young lady said after noticing she was not on the same terrain struggling from that sandstorm. She rubbed her temples because of it. She's in somewhat arctic environment, different from the first location she encountered. The force of the wind is strong and chilly, the temperature of the area could freeze you. The young lady looked around hoping to find some way of it but before she could do something a familiar figure was struggling caught her attention. A scarlet eyed girl broke free from the frosty ice covering her feet. No one dared to speak as their eyes meet, maybe because they have never spoke to each other before. One of them sighed surrendering from the silence. "Zodiante Cancer, am I right?" "Yes." She replied, you could feel her status and elegance. "Can we team up? It's the only way we can survive this and I know we're enemies bu-." "I can't." "Why? Is it because I'm with Austin's group?" She asked but there were no words coming from the scarlet eyed girl. "Fine, if that's what you want." "You know nothing." Even with the sweet tone of her voice you could feel the irritation from it. "Then tell me! Why won't anyone tell me what happened?! I've been an outcast for too long but I'm also a Zodiante like you." Silence filled the place, no one wants to speak after having a not so nice first conversation. "Don't stick your nose where it doesn't belong." "S-sorry, I was carried away." "That's fine, it's not your fault. I know what your feeling, but we're enemies. We shouldn't be helping each other instead we should bring each other down like we the enemies we are." Jamnia slightly stepped back as she saw Alora's hand glowing, she knows she's no match for her. "Don't Alora..." "I'm not that brutal Jamnia, I won't hurt you. But if ever we cross paths again I would love to have a match with you." Her scarlet eyes shined, her smile is sweet as their first meeting. "Why?" The girl asked in confusion. "Why? Well, you're still clueless of what's happening and I know your special. Good luck." She waved her hands using her magic, her sweet smile would distract anyone around the area. "Portal Magic: Quantum Location." A portal appeared right in front of her, she headed towards. Jamnia was left watching her foe disappear in thin air. --
