Alana's POV It was sobering to see so many injured beasts, even more to see the dead ones.  I thought I should be happy about it, but I realized that I didn't want them to be hurt.  I wasn't sure what had changed, but for some reason vengeance had become something very real, and not as satisfying as I first expected.   There was real pain in Blaze's eyes, he really cared about his people.  I think he cared, only he had been lost for a little while, he had become so focused on his goal that he had forgotten he was dealing with real people, or at least that was what I wanted to believe.  Once I decided to give him a chance, I started looking for his better qualities, desperate to find a reason to trust him.
