I felt her tense the minute we stepped into the room. All eyes turned to us as the chatter stopped Im sure they were confused at seeing her here with me. I saw the minute her body started to retreat back, I knew she was going to run from here. My hand came up, landing in the middle of her back. Her body went rigid as she sucked in a breath.
Pushing my scent to her, knowing it would help settle her, even though she doesn't recognize the bond yet, her body will react to mine. I see her shoulders drop an inch. As the muscle in her back relaxed under my hand.
Leaning down closer to her. "Are you alright?" I asked her, making her tilt her face up to me. I saw the pink color on her cheeks.
I had to bite my lip to keep from smiling, seeing that I had affected her.
