Chapter 34

850 Words

Kerry moved around the ranch house kitchen, drying and putting away dishes as London washed them, wondering how to bring up asking if the offer of a room on the ranch was still open. London had finished with the washing and was wiping down counters while Kerry finished putting the last few dishes away. “What’s the plan for today?” London asked. “I’ve got to see what kind of shape the bunkhouse is in, fix lunch for the guys. It’s starting to get cool, so I thought I’d throw together a pot of stew. Once it’s done, I can leave it on low on the stove to keep it warm or even dump it in a crock pot if there is one, so the guys can come in and grab a bite as they get a chance.” “I like that idea. I’ll have to add stuff to my grocery list so I can do stew or maybe chili for dinner one night.”
