Chapter four

Amanda's POV

"Wait here let me inform the king of your arrival" the red eyed boy said. I looked at him uttermost disgust. The fact that he still had to inform Nathaniel of made me worry for my life. Maybe they were preparing to have my head off.

"What is going to happen to me? What is this about?"I said this time with fear.

"I do not know. I'm only a messenger ".

"How is it you don't know anything about this. Tell me the truth about this? Am I going to be killed".

"If there's anything I'm sure of i know our King hasn't brought you hear to behead you. But at the same time I know nothing about it. Wait here. " He said to me again.

"What is your name?"I asked before he could leave.

"Carl.. Carl the Red eyed if you like. You've been staring at me the whole time ".

Yes I was staring at him the whole time. I wondered what his tears would like. Bloody.

In a bit he was out and he looked even more confused than before.

"He has asked you to come in" he spoke and gestured for me to come in.

I felt a strong cold when I entered the room, it was as though I had interrupted their important meeting with my presence. But I didn't invite myself.

Infact all of this felt weird. Why did I ever agree to follow this Red eyed Carl instead of killing during our journey. But I felt drawn to this. In my deep thoughts, my eyes met his and all the feelings of conception i had kept before all gushed out. Nathaniel was looking even better than before.

The feeling in his eyes made me feel i was going to be just fine. A feeling that looked like he was confused about his decision but he was doing it anyways and a feeling that he just wanted me back home. Maybe he had realized all this while that he was wrong for putting me on exile. But seven years was too long for one to realize this.

"What madness is this?" I heard them say from the gathering.

"Come come now. Everyone. This is my surprise to you. Winifred come to me " Nathaniel spoke. It had been ages since I heard his voice call me. It sounded New and fresh in my head. It also sounded warm and easy, the way he sounded whenever he wanted to reassure me and make me feel better. That was exactly how it felt.

I was a confident person by birth and I rarely had time to act shy around the same that connived against me seven years ago. Till today I wondered what it was that made them to act me in such ways. What did they hear . Maybe I'll know today.

I walked stealthily and stood in front of Nathaniel. He was scared of me. The fact that I didn't flinch or act like I was happy seeing him.

Infact I was happy to see him, but not that kind of happiness. The kind of happiness that you'd have when you knew your enemies were about to be crushed.

He stood from were he sat and held my hands. "This is my mate and I present to your new Queen" he spoke to the crowd.

"What is this supposed to mean? Have you asked me to return to embarass me Nathaniel."

"It's exactly the opposite of what you say I'm doing. Aren't you my mate. I've called you back to be with me "

"This is madness. You do this after all these years " I scoffed and pulled away from his grip.

"This cannot happen my King. This girl cannot return. She was banished years ago and she cannot return as your mate. "Lady Belmont stood to say.

She looked chap and older than before. Of course she was ready to disagree with anything and everything.

"She hasn't return on her own will. I have sent for her to come here, back to me. We shall put whatever happened back in the years behind us and enjoy this new era. Beautiful things are bound to always happen sooner or later" . Nathaniel was speaking in language that irritated me. It was obvious that he wasn't speaking with seriousness.

There was a loud disagreement in the room and I was starting to feel uneasy about everything.

"Why have you brought me here?"i asked in a whisper.

"Because it is exactly the right thing to do. You're meant to be with me. Right here as my queen. I have missed you Winifred . And thank goodness you haven't changed a bit " he said and tried to kiss me but I moved away immediately.

"If this is a joke then stop it Nathaniel. You cannot be serious with all you've said"i confronted.

"Watch and see then. You're not leaving this pack anymore. You will stay here with me and reign as queen " he spoke confidently.

"We cannot let an evil witch, a sorcerer, a thief and an abomination to the pack rule as queen. You're certainly making a bigger mistake today" Belmont spoke aggressively.

"Silence everyone. You have spoken to your satisfaction now it's time that I speak. For seven good years i have reigned as King without mate and I've done this all by myself. I have brought her back to me because she belongs to me and whatever happened before now should be in the past. You all should welcome her like she never left because i tell you this day that she's not leaving again ".

He turned around and kissed my knuckles. And I felt a new sensation. Maybe he was truly affected by his past mistakes and wanted to change .

"Whoever is against this judgement i have made should be ready to be beheaded. This is my last words on this". Nathaniel said to all of them .
