"Chase you can put me down, I'm not an invalid" I giggled, as he put me tenderly on the couch, my yawn giving me away.
"You're still exhausted," he said gravely as I leaned back and got comfortable "and you came close to drowning. You saved Mickey's life," he added. "The man is as grateful as can be."
I smiled. "He has a child, I couldn't bear for him to die. You would have done the same" even if it had been somewhat of a trial, breaking a window underwater and tugging the huge man out with me.
The thoughts of his child and of Chase had spurred me on. Adrenaline had coursed through me and I had done everything in my power to get the both of us out of the limo before it had sunk completely. We had been lucky. I knew that the next time could prove to be our downfall. Chase was
