One Little Stubborn Assistant

With trembling hands I sat in a cold luxurious room.My parents died in an accident about a month ago and they haven't paid their dept to this rich crappy old man. I didn't know they had a dept until I got drag into this mansion by two bodyguards saying master Carlos want to see me concerning with my parents dept.What the hell,what am I gonna do I'm still in college with a little amount of money for living .Eventhough the room is cold I am sweating like a sinner in church.For a minute or two I heard someone at the door.In no time I was at my feet looking nervously at the door.As it opened a handsome devil walk in with a cold expression. Automatically I stopped breathing,my gosh he's so handsome .He has a dark brown hair ,with an emerald eyes, high jawline and damn tall.He wore a grey pants with a white linen shirt where one button on the top is unbuttoned.He's musculinity showed as the shirt is kinda tight and sexy.This must be the crappy old man secretary or son or whatever he is he's a breathtaking jerk"Are u done?"he said coldly as he got me staring at him.His expression was clam and cold. I instantly shook my head and said "Please tell your boss to let me go I'll pay my parents dept when I find a good job,I'm still in college I don't have any money now and..." "Shut up!" he cut me off.I was quite surprised and taken aback.Who is this man ?why is he acting all powerful and what is his relationship to the crappy old man.He took a step towards me and I step back cautiously.I was a bit confused by the way he looked me up and down causing my stupid mouth to blurt out "look I know you find me desirable yes I'm every man's dream but your not my type plus just tell your bald headed boss I'm waiting I don't have all day" Oops! me and my big mouth.I couldn't believe what I just said ,that was supposed to stay in my head only but here I am blurting it out.He guffawed then he leaned closer and said"You? desirable? huh! please even Shrek looks better than you, But I don't blame you,it must be the mirror that told you this desirable lie." Buuurrn! wow... that's a low blow .My face heat up from embarrassment OMG how I wish I take back what I said he's right I'm just a disgrace to look at but him, he's on another level of what I call beauty. Damn it I am so dead thank you mouth for being a great company. I cursed myself quietly."I didn't mean it that way but can you just ..." I couldn't finished when he suddenly said " I am the master of this mansion. I am the bald headed boss you're referring to"He said the last sentence cold and clear .Wait he's the crappy old man everyone said.He's totally a different person from what I imagined and yup he just got me red handed in calling him bald.Mouth dropped open I stared at him in disbelief.This is not what I expected."Let's forget about your indescribable beauty young lady and let's cut to the chase"He mocked.I wish the floor could just swallowed me up by now.Glaring at him obviously hurt by his statement he smirked then say "Pay your parents dept! " then he walked out of the room leaving me furious. Darcy POV "Darcy wait up"I heard my best friend Joey called as I was almost to the college gate ."Hey Joey what's up?"I said smiling at her.She hugged me all of a sudden then say "I'm so glad nothing happened to you".I pulled back and looked at her saying"What are you talking about?" She rolled her eyes"You know, when you got dragged away from school that day I was so worried,what is going on Darcy?" She was always concerning about me but I can't bring Joey into my mess ."It's nothing Joey it's just a misunderstanding,so how's going with you and Damien".I try changing the subject because I don't wanna talk about it. "Your lying Darcy and don't try changing the subject because I'm not gonna let this one go." she said "I promise you it's nothing it's just a misunderstanding, they mistook me for someone else".I try the best I can to sound convincing.She shook her head then sighed"Fine I'm just glad your ok". We then talk about silly girly things as we went to our classroom.It was a long boring day and the sound of the bell for lunch was all I ever needed.As I was enjoying my lunch with Joey at the cafeteria I saw my crush walked in.No one knows this except Joey of course.Daniel is one of the most nicest and hottest guy at our school .I smiled when I looked at him until someone else's face flash through my mind.He reminds me of someone I met before but I couldn't remembered.Just as I was about to look away ,Daniel got me staring at him before I turned away as fast as I could.Phew! that was close or so I thought.I stared down at my food until Joey nudged me to look at him.Raising my eyebrows I turned to find Daniel standing beside our table.I gulped as I forced myself to smile.He returned my smile then say "can I talk to you for a minute" I looked at Joey and she only shrugged meaning she doesn't mind at all.Oh no this is bad what did I do.Thoughts running wild in my head as I followed him out of the cafeteria.Grace ,one of my greatest enermy glared at me but I choose to ignore it. Daniel lead me to a spot where no one can hear us.I can't actually believe that I'm all alone here with him.Keeping my head low he chuckled as he said "I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable I just want to talk to you". "What is it then?"my voice was almost quiet."I knew you had a crush on me Darcy but do you know I felt the same way too?"My head shot up clearly shocked.Is he serious is... is he for real,did he just say he likes me too .No! I must be dreaming.Again he said"If you wouldn't mind Darcy...will you...um would you like to be my...(chuckled nervously) would you like to be my girlfriend?"My face suddenly turned red, I can't actually believe this is happening. "Why me,I mean I'm not pretty or popular I'm just a regular girl but why me?". "I just find you very charming and innocent and also beautiful".Me?Charming?Innocent ?Oh Daniel boy you just don't know me yet. I chose not to tell him that instead let him find it out himself.We talk a little bit more before he asked me the same question again and I just say yes since there's no reason to say no. After that I went back to find Joey with her left eyebrow wrinkling at me ."Well someone looks happy and excited" she said as I sat down."So give me the details I want to know everything" I laughed as I said"what if I said that we had a little smoochie before I came back".Joey even laughed harder but she scream as I told her that Daniel ask me out. She screamed so loud that I have to cover her mouth."Keep it down will you" She nod and I told her everything.Soon the bell rang and on our way back to class Joey kept teasing me about our little smoochie .She said she want to get a smooch with Damien right now."You can do it when I'm not around you naughty girl"I told her just before Damien met us at the hallway .I smirked and was about to tell him what Joey said but she put her hand on my mouth stopping me from saying it.At the same time she was blushing like a ripe tomato.I knew that she's shy she's just saying things when Damien aren't around."You girls are confusing me but no worries Darcy I might take those words out of her lips myself later on"He smirked as he went to his class and I couldn't help but laughed at Joey tomato face. Darcy POV One day after school, on my way to my part time Job at Mrs Sammy Store , a black Audi came and stopped right in front of me. Two bodyguards came out to take me but I stepped back and run. Oh bubble I'm in trouble."Miss Morgan stop !"I heard one called.Soon my bag were a bit heavy for me so I took it off and throw it at them.Only one of them dodged it while the other got hit right in the face and fell backwards .I looked back and laughed at him without knowing there's a big wall ahead.Baam! I hit my head hard on the wall and fell to the ground.Slowly my vision went black.There was a pain in my head as I opened my eyes to find myself again in that familiar luxurious room. I was lying on a black leathered sofa and on the opposite one was the man I wish that never exist .He was reading a magazine of some hot Gucci models and he seems consume in his reading so I took it he won't notice me when I sit up.Slowly I make the effort to sit up as quietly as I could.Looking at his face he seems not to notice .With a smile on my face I slide onto the floor and start crawling careful not to make any noise. At that moment he put down the magazine and watched me crawling with so much happiness towards the door.When I reached it I looked back to see if he's still reading but I froze when I turned to find him looking at me with his usual cold expression .Blinking repeatedly I stood up awkwardly and dust my jean.I knew I already embarrased myself so I try finding an excuse. "I was just looking for my car keys, i thought I might've dropped it on the way into the room that's why I was on the floor... looking for it"I added.Truth is i don't even have a car but i couldn't find anymore excuse for my stupid action.So I went and sat down on the sofa that I currently used. "You think you can run away without paying your parents dept?"he said with so much hatered and I rolled my eyes, man he's annoying . "Who said anything about running away"I snapped at him."And who give you the right to talk back without my permission?" he snapped back.Huh what an arrogant bastard!! "I thought we already talk about this,yes I will pay it but later on when I find a job" I said as he stared at me like he's going to gobble me up in a second.He said"You know i find you very quite amusing". "Excuse me?" I raised my eyebrow at his comment."You're quite clever, very clever !do you think you can use my little brother to get away with this?"he snort.I was confuse at first until it hit me ."Wait Daniel ....is your younger brother??"I said in disbelief.He chuckled then said "I might've underestimate you but you are smarter than you look Bravo!" "I didn't know he was a brother of yours trust me I don't want anything to do with this family especially with you and I'm not trying to play any game at all it's just you and your cruel lunatic brain trying to make me feel so small and.. and..",l couldn't find the word anymore because i feel like crying out of anger ."And stubborn!"he finished for me .Suddenly he stood up,walked towards me and leaned down .Just at that moment my tears fell down and I hated it because I don't want him to think I'm a cry baby .Unexpectedly he reached out and gently wiped my tears away.Wait whaaaat!!After a second he seems to be shaking his head before standing up quickly and went to his desk.Seriously!!! He's the one that makes me cry and the next minute, he's the one who wiped my tears away ??Honestly I don't know what game is he trying to play.All of a sudden he said" You know I've already arranged another way on how your going to pay the dept"."And what is that suppose to mean ?" I said in confusion."I have been busy lately at the company..." "So?its not my business" I cut him off before he even finished.Glaring at my way he took a deep breath then say "I want you to just shut up and listen very carefully here if you don't want to go to court with me". Now we are back into the argue mode and its like I never cried a moment ago."I need an assistant to help me out ,my secretary already have lots to do at hand and I don't have time to look for an assistant.So I think instead of paying me back with the money you'll have to work for me in exchange". Oh boy what is he planning in that pretty head of his ."Me?assisting you?"I said. "Of course !you work for me as a payment of your dept,just take it as generous offer I might say ". With that I laughed at his remark then said" Me ?working with you? that's impossible " "Why would you say that ?"he asked as he raise an eyebrow at me " Come on are you stupid its not gonna work ,how are we going to get along well at work if we are to argue every single minute we talk I mean ,there is no way I'm taking orders from you nah uh no way!" "Then how would you like to spend your days rotten in jail "he said already pissed off. "Ooh how scary but stop threatening me Mr oh so perfect because clearly you won't do it and we both know it.Tell me , are you mentally ill or something?"I said while looking at him like he's a dumb angry bear . "That's it !"he stood up all of a sudden pulled me into his arm and took out a document from his desk with one hand while the other hold me firmly in his arm.He sat down with me struggling on his lap." Let me go what are you doing !" "If you are too stubborn then I'll just have to force you to write your name on the agreement, you'll thank me later for this". Nowmatter how hard I struggle he was too strong as he hold me firmly with one arm while the other hold my hand forcing it to write my name on the paper.After that he finally let go.To avoid the arkwardness of me sitting on his lap, I stood up too quickly that I lost balance and fell onto his lap again.Right at that moment Daniel came in and froze at the door.Oh boy I messed up! what would Daniel think of this.The position we're in right now,me sitting on his big brother's lap looking like we just had a lovey-dovey moment here . "Daniel its not what you think!" I stood up and ran towards him only to find his beautiful face full with disappointment.He took my wrist and dragged me out to the garden.As soon as we reached there he instantly let go of me and said "Then explain what it is ,do you think i'm dumb enough to believe that there is a misunderstanding with you sitting on my brother's lap". He said almost yelling at me. "Yes Daniel there is a misunderstanding here please listen to me..." he ran both his hands through his curly brown hair then said ."To think that you were one pure innocent girl, my ONLY pure innocent girl but right now I'm beginning to doubt that ,I mean why are you cheating on me with my own brother ?" "There is nothing between me and your brother its only you I love Daniel" "But why were you in is study in the first place"he said. " His bodyguards took me there because he thought i'm running away without paying my parents dept and things got a little out of hand and..." "And what?just say it !stop going around the bush just hit to the point because right now your explanation makes no sense at all " he yelled at me. I was shocked by this new side of Daniel.Obviously his anger took control of him right now. "If only you would let me finish things would make sense to you"I yelled back. "Even if you get to finished, all that I know now is that you're nothing but a gold digger and a w***e with a face of an innocent girl I once thought you were that I..." BAAM!!! I slapped him hard on the face with my eyes already pools in tears. "How could you say those nasty words about me without any certain proof that I am what you say " Daniel was shocked by the sudden slap I landed on his face .He couldn't actually believe that it was only 5 month of our relationship we were one happy couple that everyone adore.He never thought that it would all comes down to a day like this."Please do reconsider our relationship, look into it if we are meant for each other or its better we go our separate ways" I said as I left him stood there dumbfounded while I walked a long way home with a heavy heart. Darcy POV I was so broken and devastated for who knows words can silce a heart into two.Luckily it all happened in the weekend before our school holiday so I won't have to go to school and see Daniel. Staying at home was my only escape.Meanwhile Daniel kept calling and texting me the following days but I was not in the mood to talk to him right now.There were several messages from him asking me if we could meet up at the park and talk .He said he wanted to say sorry about that day but I never reply to his messages. One evening I was lying in bed holding on to my pillow with just my shorts and tanktop when all of a sudden there was a knock on the door.I thought it was just the delivery man but when I opened it Daniel pulled me into an embrace.I didn't even bother to react to his sudden action as I just stood there emotionlessly ."I've missed you so much babe I'm so sorry about everything its all my fault please forgive me " he said as he pulled back.Still I gave him no response."Darcy i know your angry but please forgive me I didn't meant what I said that day ok".Honestly I'm not angry at all,but his words that day hurt me so bad . "So have you decided yet?" I asked out of the blue .Daniel knew that I took none of his word even thou he was all sincere about it ."I can't lose you Darcy and I don't want our relationship to end ." He said as he slowly leaned down and land a soft kiss on my lips.Then he place some soft kisses on my jawline and my neck before he claim my lips once again.I tried the best I can not to give in but my body fail me so I start kissing him back.Honestly this was my first time and I never thought it felt this good.All went well and I thought it would end soon until Daniel swept me off my feet and carry me to bed.I was alarmed by his action because we all know where this is going .Daniel placed me in bed gently before he reached for the button of my shorts.I moved out of his reached while shaking my head.Yes I am a virgin I haven't done this before and this is all too sudden .I knew this isn't right we're not suppose to have s*x before marriage. I wanted to save myself for that day because I don't know if Daniel will be the one or not.Plus I think I'm too young for this if that's what I kept telling myself ."You're scared aren't you?" he said as he moved closer to me and tilted my chin up.I was a bit shy when looking into his eyes ."Its going to be OK babe." he said. "Exactly Daniel I'm not like those other stupid girls that can freely give themselves up just like that and I don't want to stand out but its just me being myself ", i started to cry again as i continue"I thought you were different ,I thought you'll understand and comfort me at a time like this but yet you got so mad about it ,you were expecting us to do it just to makes thing better between us right?" ."And what if I say yes?"he snapped at me. "Then its best you leave because it's not gonna happen Daniel". With that I turned around and went to open the door for him.Honestly I'm scared that what if he's gonna r**e me but luckily he didn't .Before he left he turned and said"You girls always have something to say huh!but I got something to say too " Daniel is like a total different person from what i knew .I thought he was the nicest guy but maybe I was just blinded because I was so madly inlove with him ."You said I should reconsider our relationship eh?well I think we should break up! we are done right here right now honestly I was here to mend our bond ,our relationship , I thought we could work it out together but I was wrong".I was shocked at first by his decision but I was expecting that from him"We could have done it in another way but not like this goodbye Daniel"I said as I close the door and that is the end of our relationship or so I thought... Darcy POV Everyone were thrilled that we are finally graduating after a long 2 semester."Darcy !!" I heard Joey called me from where we are going to sit during the ceremony.I smiled as I head over to her.Many people were already here ,parents and guardians including my aunty Morgana.She's the only family I knew since my parents died.Morgana is my mom younger sister and she is happily married with two kids.They came all the way from Chicago just to be here for my graduation and I am forever grateful for that. As the ceremony were about to start Daniel came and sat beside me with Grace.No doubt Grace make a move on him when she heard we broke up.Joey on the other hand was furious when I told her all about it but I assured her maybe its for the best .As soon as he sat down he smile and say hi and I couldn't help but smile and say hi too because I don't want things to be weird between us.Beside me Joey is wiggling in her seat like a poisonous snake ready to strike.Luckily i stopped her from jumping at Daniel and scratch his eyes out ."Girl chill out "I whispered .Daniel decided to steal a glance at my direction without me knowing it but Joey did.She instantly picked up an eyeliner from her purse and harshly break it into two while she eyed him with a murderous look. Daniel looked away instantly then the ceremony begun.Everyone received their certificate of honour except me,Daniel and Joey.Finally our school director called "Now For the 3 top student of the year goes to Daniel Levarry,Darcy Morgan and Joey Blake" everyone cheered as we went to receive our certificate of high honor.After that we all take a photo and everyone was so happy.Joey was talking to her boyfriend Damien while I was talking with Morgana and her family .Suddenly someone tap on my shoulder and I turn around to find Carlos smiling .Its been a long time since I last saw him and i hate him but I force myself to smile back at him.Why do I had to meet him here aarrgh!"We'll be waiting outside dear "Morgana said as they left me alone with Mr oh so perfect." So...um hi?" I managed to say.Honestly I don't know what to say I'm out of words .Despite my hatered towards him,Carlos on the other hand look so handsome in his suit and again I almost drooled.His emerald eyes were so mesmerizing"Hello Miss Morgan long time no see by the way congratulation you've done it bravo". Does he meant that as a compliment or is he teasing me...again"Um thank you Mr Larvarry" I said while scanning the crowd for Joey to rescue me but she is nowhere to be found."So what are your plans after you graduate?" he ask which reminds me of our deal regarding of my parents dept."I don't know I haven't plan anything except going to celebrate after this ".He chuckled at my remark then say "I hope you still remember our deal..." , "Yeah yeah I remember geez" I cut him off .He sighed heavily and I glanced at him while I tried not to laugh when I saw he was already pissed off by my usual stubborn and annoying attitude.Now the war has begun. "You haven't change a bit aren't you ?"he said as his expression went back to being cold ,all the smile and nice talking were gone. "Can't say the same to you" I smirk which irritate him even more."Will you stop this childish attitude , you're almost a woman now and ..." "Not yet darling!!But who do you think you are to tell me what to do.Who said anything about being stubborn is a childish thing " I said as I fold my arms and raised an eyebrow at him. "Aaaarrrgh !Why do you have to be so headstrong!!" he said as he turn around and left."It was nice talking to you Mr Larvarry"I said while trying not to laugh. After he left I went looking for Joey but I bumped into Daniel instead."Hey Darcy congratulation "he said as he pulled me for a hug ."Umm thanks" I said.Man what a weirdo.When I was about to pulled back he hesitated to let go and then he whispered into my ear"You look beautiful today honeypie,I'll pick you up tonight for the ball". To my surprised he bit my earlobe gently after saying it.This got me blushing and I quickly pushed him away. No one seems to notice what just happen because everyone was busy talking and taking photos. I slowly back away from him and went looking for Joey.Daniel action earlier doesn't make any sense at all i mean come on we already broke up for Pete sake, why would he come and pick me up for the ball.Later on I went with Joey together with both of our families for celebration .After that we took a quick shopping at the mall regarding of what we are going to wear to the farewell ball tonight.Meanwhile my mind was still confusing over Daniel words and action .Is there by any chance he wants us back together?What about Grace aren't they together?Oh brother what should I do with this guy , he is killing me softly.
