Chapter 8: Feelings (1)   Everyone was hard at work to fix the mess that they have gotten themselves in. Currently the news was filled with all kinds of rumors about what’s happening and who is involved with whom. The reporters are still outside the company as if stalking their prey. Later the same day as promised Vincent and Alex met up for their ‘personal’ talk so to call it. Meeting up at Vincent’s house as it’s the most spacious of the two. “So what did you want to do with me privately Alex?” Vincent said with a rather cocky attitude. Maybe it was the fact that they had been drinking some beer but he seemed to be speaking more than usual. “You said we were a couple but we haven’t done anything-hmp!” as Alex said that Vincent interrupted him with a kiss. “Things like this?” He said and smirked as their lips parted he kept eye contact with the man. Staring deeply into his eyes. On the other hand Alex was both shocked and embarrassed. “Could you listen to me!” he shouted. “Yes yes continue.” Vincent sat back down as if disappointed that the kiss didn’t involve into something more. “The thing is… There are still a lot of things we don’t know about one another. So I wanted to get to know you better.” Alex was open about what he wanted, there was no point in hiding it. “Get to know me? What if there are things you are better off not knowing?” Even in his slightly drunken state Vincent still managed to pull off a poker face while talking. “But I have to know! It can’t be just him…” After realizing what he had just said he mumbled the last words but it was no use as his companion had already heard him. “Who are you referring to?” Vincent had a clue as to who it was but preferred for Alex to say it himself. “I didn’t mean anything by that sorry for mentioning it-” Alex tried to cover up what he just said but it was an unsuccessful attempt at doing so. “Tell me.” Vincent pressed on for an answer. “It’s really nothing!” Alex continued to try but the CEO had already caught onto him so escape wouldn’t be easy. “Alex…” Vincent was getting impatient and closed in on the man while saying his name. Alex chugged down the can of beer he had and spoke: “That man that was in your office today! Who was he anyway?!” “Him? He’s just-” Vincent’s explanation was abruptly interrupted by his drunk partner. “Why were you laughing together? You were in such a good mood afterwards as well!” Alex said loudly, he seemed to be really worried about it. “That’s what I’m trying to tell you he’s-” Vincent attempted to continue his explanation but it fell on deaf ears as his lover interrupted him once again not allowing him to get a word in. “You seemed so happy he came! I just- ugh!” Alex was jealous that Vincent didn’t act like that with him. Or more like that he didn’t act like that with him alone. “You just?” Vincent finally finished a sentence even if it consisted of only two words. “I just… don’t want to lose you! And I know I am not as handsome as he is. And he seems very smart and good at everything or whatever ‘hiccup’ I… might be no match for him… but I like you more than he does!” After rambling on about his recent worries Alex felt both better and worse after saying to the person in question. “Alex, are you by any chance… jealous?” Vincent asked amused by his lover’s behavior. “Who’s jealous? I just spoke my mind that’s all.” Alex tried to deny it but it was painfully obvious by now. “I see, so if I were to date Charles you wouldn’t be jealous at all?” Vincent teased his lover as to see what kind of reaction he would give. “I-if you were to date him?” Alex asked back to confirm if he’d heard correctly. “What would you do if I were to date Charles?” Vincent repeated his question once again. “I’d probably…” Alex thought about it for a little bit. “You would what?” Vincent continued to pomp an answer from his love. “I’d… fight him I guess.” Alex said the only words that would come to him at a situation like this. Though in reality if he was completely sober he wouldn’t even imagine picking a fight with someone taller, muscular and definitely more experienced in fighting than he was. “Hahaha! You really are the best!” Vincent praised his lover’s answer. He was satisfied with such an answer. “What are you laughing at?! What’s so funny?” Alex in his drunken state couldn’t understand why his lover was laughing so hard. Had he said something funny? “I’m just happy… nobody would do something like that for me.” Vincent said full well knowing it was impossible for them to fight but he was happy none the less. “R-really? *Hiccup” Alex wanted to confirm if what he had just heard was correct. “Yes, ever since I was young I learned to take care of myself. Nobody else was going to do it for me so I had no choice.” Vincent quickly explained, even though it was in a bit too much detail for a drunk to understand. “I… would have taken care of you if I knew you then…” Alex said thinking back on it. Vincent’s eyes widened. He smiled but his eyes looked sad as if he was about to cry, however no tears came out. “If I had met you years ago, maybe I wouldn’t be like this now.” “You wouldn’t be like wha-hmp!!!” Alex’s breath was literly taken away by Vincent’s intense kiss. This time it was more passionate than the first one, or more aggressive is a better word to describe it. It seemed like Vincent wanted to hide something beneath that kiss. To Alex that kiss tasted like a lie. “Ah..ha..ha…a…” When their lips finally parted Alex was panting hard to try and regain his composure. But Vincent didn’t seem to be content with just a kiss. “Should we continue on the bed?” Vincent’s eyes were sincere but something felt off. He seemed to be thinking of something else entirely. “Ah.. my question!” Alex was pulled by the hand by Vincent and taken to the room upstairs. “You didn’t answer my question about that guy in your office!” he protested. “That was Charles my closest friend since childhood; we even started our companies at the same time. He’s bisexual and currently has a boyfriend. Anything else you’d like to know about my friend?” Vincent said as fast and precise as possible. “So he’s not your ex! And you’re not interested in him?” Alex asked, was it the alcohol or was it his own courage that finally showed itself after all these years! “He is neither of those. The only one I am interested in right now, is you.” Vincent gave Alex a peck on the cheek. How did something so innocent seem so erotic to him at this moment? “Now if we are done with the chatting, shall we proceed?” Vincent said as he pushed his lover onto the bed and climbed on top of him. “I think I have waited long enough.” “Vince-ah…nt!” Alex barely withhold a moan as how Vincent was kissing his neck, licking and sucking every spot along the way. “Is your neck a sensitive area for you?” Vincent smirked and continued, but his head was filled with thoughts of other things entirely. The drinks didn’t do him any favors either. Truly he preferred being completely sober while making love with Alex for the first time. But right now he is desperate for some human comfort. “Why are you rushing?” Alex asked since he was being pushed around easily by this man, who was currently taking off his pants. Vincent however wasn’t listening. His mind already preoccupied with rushing thoughts and memories he wanted to forget. “It was a long time ago… forget it already.” Vincent spoke to himself in a wisper as if he was in a trance. “Who cares about the past?” he continued his voice was rough and he wasn’t paying attentiontion to Alex’s words. “Listen to me Vincent! Listen!” Alex shoved Vincent back off the bed. Finally making him snap out of his daze. “…” “What’s gotten into you.. ha..ah..?” Alex was half naked, covered in saliva, bite marks and hickeys from his neck to his chest and still panting heavily. “I… I’m sorry, I lost myself for a bit. Could we leave it here for today?” Vincent asked in a pleading tone. He seemed to regret his actions instantly. “Y-yeah.” Alex said and began dressing himself up again. Then eventually leaving after several minutes. Vincent finally being alone with himself he could hear voices in his head repeating ‘You shouldn’t be happy.’ He punched the wall of his room far too hard and scrapped his knuckles from it... *** Shameless self promotion time!
