Chapter 50: Deceit (3) Confrontation
Alex woke up earlier than the others and went outside making sure that no one hears him leave. He wanted to be the person to resolve things for once in his life. So he called Elena, she’d given him her number the last time they spoke. “I’m surprised she hasn’t changed it since.” He met up with her at a café nearby work. Elena obviously wasn’t happy to have to meet up with the man so early in the morning but even so she was there.
“Thank you for coming here.” Alex sat down as he spoke. It was common decency to open the conversation with something of that accord. Although it wasn’t much appreciated by his companion.
