So you're going back to school today. You nervous?" My brother Jake asked sitting comfortably on the bed.

"Well yeah, I don't remember anything. I'm just the girl who has amnesia now that everyone will be talking about"

"That's true" he muttered, but I heard him

"Way to make me feel better. Speaking of which how did I lose my memory"

His eyes darted around "ummm you should come down for breakfast before you head to school" he said the rushed out of my room.

Weird, why didn't he just answer me? Why change the subject?

I hastened getting ready then went down for breakfast. I had been here for a few weeks but hadn't really gotten used the mountain of food that was usually prepared for us.

"Good morning sweetheart, my mum came down in a bath robe and kissed me on the head"

"Morning" I replied with a smile

"Good morning" Gemma said as she descended down the stairs

"Oh good morning" mum kissed her too "dig in girls wouldn't want you to be late on your first day

I wasn't able to stomach the food due to the fact that I was still nervous about today. My mum noticed and asked what was wrong, but I shrugged it off with a stomach ache.

My dad rushed down from the stairs and kissed us both on the head before heading out, once Jemma was done, we too headed out.

It was an actual long drive to school, we passed green areas and lakes, I think 3 parks before we finally got there. I got to say, rich people knew their stuff. The school looked like it was put of a novel, it looked so ancient but new. Let's just say the architecture was exquisite, and the green areas, we're as big as the parks we passed, it had a fountain too.

A group of girls rushed towards us but landed on Jemma as they showered her with praises and complements

"Oh my god, you're hair is so shiny today!"

"I love your new bag, is it the new dior, that's dropping this spring?:

"I love your louboutins"

"Is that the new exclusive tennis bracelet from debacle, you have wait in like a year long line to get it"

"You look so gorgeous Jemma"

"Gorg" who says that?

"Ahem" Jinny cleared her throat, then suddenly all the girls' eyes were on me

"Oh hi Jinny how are you feeling?" One of the girls asked

"I'm good thank you" I offered a polite smile

"Ummm...I'm gonna go ahead"

"Oh no wait Jinny can you give me a minute?"

"Oh don't worry about it's fine, catch up with your friends there's no need to baby sut me" I smiled then went it, but I still caught it when one of the girls said

"Didn’t she try to like unalive herself?"

Classes went by in a blur, with all the teachers introducing me or reintroducing me? Anyway what bothered me the most was the way everyone looked at me, including the teachers. They stared then whispered and as much as I hated to admit it, it really pissed me off, bur I kept my cool even as everyone distanced themselves from me as if I carried around the covid 19. It was like I was being quarantined in my own school. Am I- was I a social pariah?

I tried to not let it get under my skin, as it was my first day back maybe they just wanted to be careful with me after my accident? What even happened to me though? How did I lose my memories.

It was finally lunch time, and I was starving served me right for not eating this morning. I went over to go sit down with some people, but once they saw me they grabbed their stuff and moved. Yep maybe

I was a carrier of corona.

I got to eating when Jemma sat next to me

"Hey what're you doing here?" I asked

"What everyone else is doing, eating" she smiled

"No I mean why are you seating here"

"Because I wanna sit with my sister?"

"You don't want to do that"

"And why is that?"

"From what I've deduced, I'm a carrier of

the corona virus"

"What?" She looked genuinely scared

I laughed "I'm a social pariah around here"

She looked like she was done with me "honey don't say that"

"Why not, it's the truth"

"Everyone just wants to tread quietly with everything that went down"

Everything that went down? "What went down?"

"You know with you loosing your memory and all" she said quickly as if to cover up something

"Right, come to think of it, how did I loose my memory?"

"Ummm..." I looked at her expectantly

"Ladies, how are you?" A gut said behind us we turned around at the same time to face him

"Levi, hi we're good thank you come sit with us and you can call your friends over to" she was lucky, this guy was just her saving grace

"Cool" Levi said "Hi Jinny, how are you?"

"I'm fine thank you" he called over his friends and they came and joined us to eat, then a bunch of the girls I had seen surrounding Jemma this morning joined us. I could practically feel people staring at us, wishing that they were here too.

I also noticed how girls shamelessly gawked at Levi, but he only had eyes for one person which was my sister, and somehow that made me proud.

"Oh Jinny that's true, I won’t follow you back today, I've got a last minute thing, a club rather so tou have to go on without me"

"Oh no problem, just be safe okay?"

She nodded

School had finally and I waited outside for the car to turn up, I could still feel stares boring holes into my head so when the car finally did turn up, I practically dived in and shut the door, wishing for the day to be over as I squeezed my eyes closed.
