Chapter One

1048 Words
Andrew was walking along the sidewalk, ignoring the busy traffic to his right. It was dusk, his favorite time of day. It meant that less people were on the street, he could actually be outside, and his clubs were just about to open for the night. Andrew owned almost 20 nightclubs throughout the continental United States and had trusted management and security placed at each. His favorite place was New York and that's where he spent most of his time. He preferred the Northern States because he loved winter. In over 500 years on Earth, he had spent over 250 of them within them. He felt the Southern States were too hot in Summer and refused to visit his clubs there unless it was months that ended in R. It was a silent rule he made with himself. Plus, in New York, no one questions a 6' male who was in a tight fitted black shirt and dark blue jeans. It was also such a busy and crowded city that he could get away with his nighttime hobby without anyone noticing. The night before, he had been at his club taking a drink when he noticed her. A pretty blonde with an amazing body who seemed to be alone. She had been dancing with the music, swinging her hips back and forth. Within the hour, he had her back at his place, clawing at his back and screaming his name. It didn't take much for women to throw themselves at him when he mentioned he owned the club. Although as always, whenever he reached his climax, he bit into their necks and sucked their blood until he was content. It was never enough to kill, just enough so that when they woke up in the morning, they would never remember what happened. That happened at least twice a week, year after year, decade after decade. He even changed things up once in awhile by choosing a male or having a threesome instead. Every Friday and Saturday night, he would choose his victim from his club, make sure they were alone, have his way with them, and then have his feeding time. No one ever caught onto what he was doing because no one ever remembered what happened the next day. As Andrew made his way to his New York club, he almost literally ran into someone. She couldn't be more than 5'3" and 25 with long brunette hair and eyes that matched. Only did someone next to the woman clear their throat did he notice she had a blonde friend next to her. The brunette looked up at Andrew with her brown eyes and gave him a shy smile. "Sorry, we must not have been watching where we were going." The brunette woman spoke up. "It's not an issue. I wasn't either..." he started. "Sarah. And this is Katie." She finished and gave him another shy smile. "Nice to meet you Sarah and Katie. May I ask where two beautiful women as yourselves are going this late at night alone?" He asked as he turned to walk with the two women. He wasn't sure where they were headed, and he might be a vampire, but he was still a gentleman. His mother had taught him to treat women with respect and even though she had been deceased for half a century, he would continue to abide by her rules and wishes. "We are heading to The Guardian Club just down the street." Katie responded as she looked to the man next to her. Even though she was the one who answered, she could tell whenever his eyes went to Sarah's. Looking to her best friend and roommate, she nudged her gently and winked. A silent sign they made years ago whenever they caught someone checking out the other. "Really? I was just headed there too. I have to check on my management once in a while." Andrew responded and looked down at the two women, seeing their faces in shock as they stopped walking. "You're Andrew Price? The Andrew Price that made millions owning nightclubs around the country?" Sarah asked in disbelief. It was the first time she really spoke up since they first ran into each other, and her voice caught Andrew's attention more than any woman's had in years. More like over 100 years. He just chuckled with a nod. "I guess you've heard of me." He said and both girls nodded. "How about I let you two in ahead of the line and make sure your drinks are on my tab?" He just couldn't resist letting two women drink for free. Even if he didn't end up in bed with them, he still wanted to be nice and allow them to relax and enjoy themselves. "Really? Are you sure that isn't too much?" Sarah asked, just wanting to be sure. She wasn't used to such kindness by strangers, especially rich and famous strangers. Not that she's really met any. "Well, there is one thing I ask in return. I would love a dance from you once I'm done speaking with my head of security." Andrew said while looking into Sarah's eyes. All she could do was blush a bright red and nod. Andrew smiled and continued down the street. "Then it's settled. I shall meet you two in half an hour." He said as they reached the club. He led the two girls to the front of the line and nodded to Ethan, the guard out front. "They are with me." Was all Andrew had to say to let the two women in. As soon as they were inside, they could feel the bass pounding along with the smell of alcohol and sweat from the dancing bodies. This wasn't Andrew's only club in New York but it was his loudest and busiest. He led the two girls over to the bar and had them order their first drinks, making sure the bartender knew it was on him for the night. He turned to them and leaned down, giving Sarah a light kiss on the cheek. "I shall be back in exactly 30 minutes for that dance." He said with a wink to the both of them before he headed to the back for his meeting.
