Chapter Four

1005 Words
The following night, Sarah got dressed into a black, lowcut, skintight dress that went to her midthigh. She pulled her hair up into a high ponytail and some black flats before heading out. She got into her car and drove down the street, getting to her destination within just a few minutes. Getting out of her car, she headed inside when Ethan recognized her and immediately was surrounded by the base of the music playing through the speakers. Within just a minute of getting to the bar, she felt a hand on her hip and turned to see Andrew. “I wasn’t expecting to see you.” He said as he led her onto the dancefloor. There wasn’t really a spot in the club, except for Andrew’s office in back, that didn’t have music blaring through the speakers. Even the bathrooms were just as loud as the main area of the club. “I wanted it to be a surprise. Although I wasn’t sure if I was going to come. My study time was shortened last night.” She responded with a smirk only to have Andrew pull her closer to his chest. He pulled her down for a short but sensual kiss before letting her go back to the position they were in before he pulled her in. “I didn’t say I didn’t enjoy last night. I just meant I wasn’t sure if I was coming tonight.” He placed his hands on her hips while she wrapped her arms around his neck as they swayed to the music. “So, your friend here tonight or just you?” He asked, looking down at the woman in front of him. “Just me tonight. She’s out on a date and has no idea I’m here.” She said, biting her lower lip. Andrew’s eyes narrowed as he stared at her lip between her teeth. He leaned down and pressed his lips to hers in a firm and passionate kiss. She didn’t allow it to last more than a minute. “I don’t want to go too fast.” She whispered as she pulled away from his lips and continued to dance to the beat with him. Andrew swung her gently and had her back against his stomach and chest as they moved to the beat. “Like I have said before, very refreshing.” He said, then saw Sarah look up at him with a confused expression and he just chuckled before explaining more. He was starting to get used to seeing her confused expression so he could recognize it instantly. “Most girls find out who I am, that I own the club, and they throw themselves at me. It’s nice to have someone not to rush into bed just because of who I am.” He said, looking down into her eyes as he spoke to show how sincere he was. She kissed his cheek and smiled soft as she looked up into his eyes. “To be honest, I’m starting to like you. And the last time I rushed into bed with someone, it didn’t exactly end up the way I would have liked. I don’t really want to make that mistake with anyone else.” Andrew pulled away from her slightly before taking her hand and leading her back to his office. He had a desk with a chair on each side, but then he also had a couch against one of the walls that was adjacent to the door. He sat down on the couch and gently pulled her down to sit next to him, still holding her hand. “Sarah, I wish I could hurt whoever hurt you so they would know what it feels like, but I can’t. Although there is something I should have told you last night before we exchanged numbers. Actually two things. The first is that I won’t be able to see you during the day, I’m always at home in my office focusing on club matters which is why I visit them at night. The second, I’ve had more than my fair share of one night stands.” “I don’t care. Even I have had a few one night stands. As long as someone is loyal once they are dating someone, then the past shouldn’t matter.” She said, not having to strain her voice now that they were in the back of the club. The base could be heard slightly, but it was actually pretty quiet. “Although I do have a question for you, Andrew. You said yesterday that you were older than you look. What did you mean by that?” She asked, playing with his fingers slightly as she waited for his response. “I’m actually in my early 30s.” He said, although he knew he was much older than that. He had lost track of how old he actually was, but always just said he was in his early 30s whenever someone asked. “Oh, that’s not so bad. I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect when I asked, but early 30s isn’t bad. So what if you’re about 10 years older, age has never mattered in my opinion.” She responded and he just smiled, not knowing how she would feel once she found out how old he actually was. He never hid it from someone he was seeing, but he didn’t tell them until they were serious about dating. It’s only happened twice before. Once, the girl left him and he never saw her again, but the second time, she actually stuck around but he couldn’t once she started aging.
