The adventures of Patty: The way of thunder

Patty's day started like any other day. With a farm house breakfast at her local diner with a strawberry milkshake, but this particular day she saw a man at the back of the restaurant that just gave her goosebumps and a feeling of unease. She tried to ignore the man and finish her breakfast but she just couldn't shake the feeling of unease from that man. So she quickly finished her meal and went to work at the local library. It was another slow day at the library like most days. She counted the minutes till she can go home. Then it happened she saw the man from earlier that morning. With the site of this man she again got goosebumps. The man politely came to her and asked for her assistance in a problem he had. She still with hives and neck hair standing upright asked him "With what can I assist you sir?" He replied " I am in need of someone with knowledge in mythology, are you someone with such knowledge?" She replied with a clear note of dread in her voice "Yes sir" His reply to this is "I am real sorry mam......." All that can be heard is a thud on the librarian's desk. With a groan Patty woke up and felt a searing pain in her stomach and on her fore head. She immediately thought by her self "was it the breakfast she ate or the scary man that was with her." She looked up an found her self staring right at a man built like a Greek God. Her jaw dropped and the man immediately felt self conscious because he was only wearing short pants when his men brought her to him. He told her " I am so sorry for the confusion. I told my men to be gentle with you." Patty getting her self back to reality immediately went of on the poor guy. "Who the hell do you think you are! What did your men do to me?" Then with a sudden realization she looked around and it didn't look like her home town. She then all red in the face asked the guy in front of her "Where am I?" The person in front of her all calmly told her "I am Pete." With a scolding look at his men he told her "I would say it was a sedative they gave you" As for where you are well....... He gave a whistle and suddenly with a thud on the ground a creature that was half lion half eagle landed right next to them. With the site of this creature Patty gave one glass shattering scream and passed out. She awoke a hour later with the mother off all headaches. She got up and made her way to what looked like a dining room and found Pete sitting there fully dressed in a red shirt and a beige pair of short shorts. He looked up and asked her “Would you like something to eat?” confused she asked him “Was I hallucinating or was it a side effect from the sedative your men gave me?” With a confused look on his face Pete said “ No it was neither the thing you saw was my pet griffin. Would you like something to eat? My men studied your normal breakfast and showed my cooks how to prepare it so they replicated it for you.” Patty only nodded that she wanted breakfast then her questions started to flow like a river. “What realm is this? How did you get me here? Why am I here? Are all the myths real? I want something strong to drink with my meal please.” Pete calmly answered her questions “This is a realm parallel to yours. Warlocks made a portal for my men to go to your realm and back. My father will be able to answer that question for you. Yes in this realm it is all real. The only thing I can offer you with your drink is ale will it be fine?” Patty silently thinking then with a sudden outburst said “You must then be according to my realms myths be a demigod. If I may take a wild guess you are a son of the god of thunder? Ale will be fine” Pete looking to the man that talked to Patty “You clearly brought a bright one here. If you will be so kind as to take your glimmer of I will appreciate that.” with a deep voice he yelled at the kitchen staff to bring his guest her food and drink. "Your guess was right I am indeed one of his children. In fact I am the strongest one.” Then the man Pete talked to removed his glimmer and revealed himself to be half man half goat.
