Chapter 19

My parents died when I was young and was raised by the Alpha family. I as a tomboy all my life and never had much of a dating life in unlike to the closest thing I have to a brother, James. He was the outstanding one. The outgoing one. It was when I was fifteen when I started kicking ass. So I wasn't normal, I knew it like if it was my name. Now I have a mate, a pack and a possible baby to tend for, and I just know my abnormalities are going to screw everything up.

Even if it was just a few words that will change everything, their meaning go beyond into the future,"You're pregnant. " Dr. Maradil announced after conducting multiple tests.

My eyes widen. "Thea?" Caspian asked nervously.

A baby. . .my child. . .our kid!

I wrapped my arms around my waist, where a little creature was now relying on me and Caspian to care for it, now and for many years to come,"We're going to have a baby." I whispered softly, letting the panic subside,"We're having a pup! " I squealed and smiled, ignoring the fear that still bubbled in me. I reached for Caspian's hold and his arms embraced me .

"We're going to have a baby." He echoed .

I swallowed and hugged him tight, fighting the tears,"I have to call Cali. "I said and took my phone out of my pocket .

"Why don't we drive over?" Caspian suggest, "But we'll have to bring some guards, just in case."He added.

I nodded quickly, in a hurry to see my best friends and cousin.

We exit the Pack Infirmary then went to the garage, Caspian and I took one of his many cars, a black Lamborghini, while the first set of guards took a mustang. The next one leaving in a big Jeep.

"Isn't it too many guards?"I asked him as he drove.

He shook his head,"I'm not taking any risks now that my pup is in here. " He said and reached over to place his hand over my stomach.

I placed my hand over his,"Our pup. After all, I am the one caring it." I said,managing to joke as on the inside I felt like I was balancing on a thin cord over a pit of fear.

"I will make sure both of you are safe, okay." He said reassuringly.

I panicked,"What!?"

He turned his attention to me for half a second before answering, "Including myself too. Nothing slips by you,does it? "

I nodded,"We have to stick together, Caspian. Whenever, wherever and for whatever reason. For her or him,"I said squeezing his hand which was still over my stomach," we both know that it is like to have a broken home, and I don't want that to happen to our pup."

He looked at me sternly, "We will survive. . .as a family." He said and I relaxed at his words, feeling overjoyed above all the worry.

An hour or so later and we arrived at Silver Moon territory. Minutes later, at the main house at the center of the territory .

"Thea!" Calypso squealed in her high pitch voice as I exited the car.

I smiled, her werewolf sped up pregnancy seemed about complete as I watched James help her down,"Hey Calypso -

"THEA!!" Eddie shouted as he approached us,probably coming from the training grounds.

"Eddie, how are you?" I asked him.

"Good, I beat Peter yesterday, you missed it."

"Anyone could beat that pip squeak." I muttered and hugged Eddie.

"True. But it means I am one step closer to Head Fighter. "

I cringed, "I think you should go towards Trainer,you know. . .you're a bit too young for war, don't ya think? "

Eddie frowned,"But, well. . .yeah. . .I guess you're right." Eddie said with a smile,"We'll see. I have to go back to training see you later, cuz?"

"Maybe."I said and he smiled before he ran off .

I turned back to Calypso who seemed intrigued by a conversation with her brothers. I walked to them,"Hey Thea, my labour is scheduled for the next few days. . .and we would like you and Caspian to be the godparents." Calypso said.

I grinned,"We'd loved to." Caspian answered.

Calypso smiled,"But can Thea stay here? We're not sure when she's arriving ."

Caspian nodded, surprisingly,"I think you two will have a lot to talk about." He told me with a narrowed look .

I hesitated, "But what about the-"

"It will only be for a week, Thea, what could you miss?" Calypso shrugged.

I considered it,"I didn't bring any clothes."I pointed out.

Calypso rolled her eyes,"Girl, look at me! My clothes will fit you just fine." She said pointing out her enormous belly.

I don't want to be away from my mate.

"I'll be two hours away, and I'll call." Caspian said,probably listening to my thoughts.

I sighed, knowing something wasn't right here, but I shrugged it off,"Okay."

"Then I'll see you in a week." Caspian told me as he lead us to his car for goodbye .

I frowned, "But we just got here?" I complained.

"Bye Caspian!"Calypso squealed and then turned to James,"I'm hungry. "She said easily.

"What,we just ate. . . "James said and they started talking about food as Caspian pulled me aside.

"I don't -"

He placed a tender kiss on my lips,"I know, but this is my sister, and you'll be safer here."

"What?! So this is why you dragged me here for?!"

"Yes, and I 'lost' the transfer paperwork, so technically you still belong to Silver and their treaty with Knight won't allow them to get to you or our pup. Don't worry, mom will be arriving soon."

"Are you kidding me Caspian !"I hissed.

"I promised you I would keep you safe, this is the only way."

I frowned,"I don't like manipulation, Caspian Shade, you set me up!"I shouted .

He frowned, not really enjoying being yelled at,"I'm trying to protect you!" He stated with growl,"You're my only weakness, Thea, you and our pup. So yes I'll go to the extreme of having to go behind your back because I love you. "

I whimpered, "Caspian!"

He grimaced, regretting having to use his Alpha tone on me,"I have to get going, Thea. I'll see you soon." He said and I crossed my arms across my chest,this was a bad idea,"I love you." He told me.

I looked at him, my eyes watering,"I love you too." I said and went to hug my mate just as a car pull into the house.

"That's mom, she knows what going on so just be careful, okay. "Caspian said and his head came down to a kiss.

"Mom!?" Calypso squealed with uncertainty while Caspian got in the car and drove off.

I made my way to them,"Honey, don't worry about him." Jacklin said as she saw my sad face.

I nodded, rubbing my stomach, "Well . . .I'm more worried about this guy." I said,and continued rubbing my belly.

Jacklin smiled,"Oh my god,you're pregnant! "

Calypso shrieked, "Oh my Goodness! THEA!"

The rest of the day was a blurr, but that night I tossed and turned in the giant bed,odd considering that my old room was the most tranquil place I knew of other than my tree. I fluff the long pillows and rip the sheets off my sweaty body. Who knew one DAMN man could become the orbit of my world?

I wished he was here so I could hold him, I just found out I was pregnant and he leaves me miles away from him. I was restless without him by my side.

I got up and went to my luggage, the duffle bag packed by Jacklin before she came here, and I sighed when I saw his jacket still at the bottom. I picked it up and smelled his soft cologne mixed with his scent,but to my surprise, I managed to sleep.

"Well you look. . . well."Calypso said as I walked into the kitchen. I saw James cooking breakfast and Jacklin reading the paper on the counter. Calypso, was just sitting on the dinning table, and honestly I was in no mood.

"I had so little sleep I'm actually too tired to say anything back." I said, adding amusement to my groggy voice.

"He had to leave her in her bad mood." James muttered,"I thought puberty had it over with, now pregnancy. God help us."

"Shut up, Mathews!" I snapped, pretty sure I just used the Luna command on him.

He rolled her eyes,"Pregnant, Luna and moody. "He served his mate a plate and passed it to her as I went to sit down,"Just great."

"Talking like your mate isn't ."

"Tuché, sister." Calypso muttered as she ate.

Jacklin came and sat next to me,"Don't worry, he'll be fine ." She said and hugged my shoulders.

I sighed,"I hope so."
