Chapter 11

Suddenly his lips were on mine, hesitant and unsure of how he would be received, but he grew confident sending my heart into a sprint.

I wrapped my arms around my mate's neck and kissed him back, enjoying his lips finally on mine. He smiled against my lips, finally shedding his cold outside and showing his true self. I smiled and kissed him again, having spent too much time bickering, and denying one another instead of doing this. His sweet taste of honey was irritable and I knew we were going to do this for a while, but then I remembered we were in public, on a stage, being watched.

I pulled away, scarlet tinting my cheeks,"Caspian-" I gasped .

"I'm not apologizing for not giving you space, " another kiss,"But I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Thea, I don't know how I'll ever live without you, and I'm sorry for being such an ass. You deserve better but I can't stand being away from you-"

I pulled him for another kiss and when I pulled away, I was smiling like the i***t I was and he was too. Around us there was an enormous roar of cheers "It took you long enough! " Castor said and then he whistled .

I blushed as Caspian wrapped his arms around my waist and lead me to the crowd of friends.

"Happy birthday ." Caspian murmured .

I narrowed my eyes at him, "I am still mad at you Caspian Shade, and - "

"Darling, I work for your forgiveness for far more than that, I've been a horrible mate- "

"No s**t Sherlock," Castor muttered.

Caspian growled lowly but calmed himself, "You'll be sorry," He said and pointed at his brother, but he looked back at me,"But I owe you an explanation."

I sighed, "No, Caspian. You don't need to, you did what you thought was right and it wasn't my place to ask-"

He caressed my cheek, "But it was, I should have come clean, but I didn't and I've hurt you, and I'll hate myself for it forever."

"No you won't." I said in a serious tone which made him smile.

He nodded and he lead me to a couch where we could all sit down, Caspian pulling me to his lap,"No more secrets. " He vowed. He turned to look at his mother,who nodded, giving him permission to talk about their past,"It's time for the Shade's to come out of the shadows." He said.

"Yes, it is, my son." Jacklin said.

"Our father was a kind man, but he was ruled by the rules set hundreds of years ago on the packs. Sure many have modified them to fit the purpose of the pack,James pack changed them for them to fight honorably,"Caspian began and looked at his sister's mate,"Our pack is set up to be an example of what the pack should be. But even we knew how times were changing. Dad change the rules of our pack, he was going to teach everybody fight, not just men." He said and then grew somewhat quiet.

I placed a hand on his cheek,"What happened?" I asked.

"One day we were attacked by rogues and the mates of several of our men died, those men rebelled against my father, blaming him for their losses. I was 16 when dad made us run to the safe house at the edge of the territory. We were almost there but four of the rebels cornered us, Castor was already injured and Calypso was still too young to shift. Dad had me defend mom and my siblings as he fought them. Unfortunately he wasn't strong enough to kill them,I was."

Caspian laughed slightly,"All those stories about me killing my wannabe mate were mere lies made by the rebels to make me look like a monster, but I did go on a hunting spree, tracking down the rebels that managed to get away. When I got back, I revoked the changes to the rules and I was never the same,but . . .then comes this girl who not only knows exactly how it feel like to lose your parent,but both of them, yet she was stronger than I ever was. She tried to live normally, unlike me who just became an ass. I was immediately drawn to her, but since I didn't know her well at that time, I had no reason but to leave her alone instead of putting her through the burden I was. Turns out she was extremely stubborn."

I smiled and hugged my wonderful mate, "Overprotective fool." I accused him.

"Beautiful. "He retorted, nuzzling my cheek.

Jacklin laughed at our childish ways,"You're adorable."

"What am I, chopped liver?" Calypso asked sarcastically and James took her to his lap.

"Speak for yourself,my question is how did I end up as the mateless one ? My sister is a Smurf and my brother is a cocky jackass, I'm the only normal one."

Two people growled, one was a defensive Alpha snuggling his blue haired mate, the other was a dangerous Luna in the arms of her mate, me.

Caspian chuckled at my growl.

Castor rolled his eyes,"Brother of mine, it's so not fair."

Caspian rose an eyebrow, "You flirted with my mate, in front of me! Brother,shut up, you're lucky I didn't break something of yours."

"Hey, she didn't stop me." Castor said .

"You'd be in the hospital if I had." I said, snuggling closer to my mate.

Caspian smiled, "That's my girl."

I blushed, enjoying this side of him that until now, I had seen very little of.

"Oh please, she could even beat you Caspian. " Castor said.

Calypso nodded and so did James.

"Yeah,no thanks." I said, not really in the mood to fight, but in the mood to hold my mate after being unable to for so long.

Caspian smirked,"Are you sure?"

I rolled my eyes,"I finally got you to kiss me, I don't want to knock you out. Plus it wouldn't be a fair fight. "

"True." Casper said and he played with the ends of my hair.

"I guess will never know then." I said.

Calypso scoffed,"Nah, we'll find out when he pisses you off,again."

Casper grumbled,"Shut up."

Calypso stuck her tongue out.

"Mature sister, very mature." Castor said.

"Like you're any better. "Caspian retorted.

"Castor, Caspian, Calypso, that's enough." Jacklin hissed.

James chuckled, "I wanted to ask, Ms.Shade, where did you get the names of your children? "

They all smiled,"My husband was a fan of mythology, his name was Cronus but was the opposite of the Titan in the legends, that's where Calypso and Castor come from."

"Calypso was a daughter of Atlas, a Greek Titan." Explained Calypso.

"Castor was son of Dionysus, twin of Pollux."

"And I was named after a sea, thanks mom." Caspian said sarcastically.

I smiled,"It's an adorable name." I gushed.

"Thank you." He murmured and kissed my nose.

Calypso suddenly jumped to her feet,"Okay, enough you too."

Caspian pulled me closer to his chest,"Be quiet, I didn't make that big of a fuss when you found James." He defended.

"You kicked me out and banned me from visiting !" Calypso shrieked.

"You're happy, aren't you?"Caspian asked,"Plus I let you back in,remember."

Calypso placed her hands on her hips,"Just because you wanted to get Thea on her good side again after you went full on prick, more than once too. You,brother of mine, practically needed me."

Caspian sighed,"Grazie sorella." (Thanks sister)

Calypso smiled,"Siete i benvenuti"(You're welcomed)

"What?" James asked confused on their dialect.

I rolled my eyes,"Told you Italian was going to come in handy someday, but no, you chose Spanish because of Mia-"

"Yeah, yeah, what about you and- "

My mate and James' growled, cutting us off .

"Who?" They asked simultaneously.

"No one. He was an i***t in high school. "

"Bookworm."He retorted.

"Sei uno stupido se si pensa che era un insulto." I said with ease. (You're stupid if you think that's an insult)

"I don't know Italian but I know Spanish!"James said, offended by what little he heard.

"Tu sei una creatura straordinaria,mia bella compagna ." Caspian murmured,"e io sono molto fortunato ad avere tears, se sei tu mi vuoi."(You're and extraordinary creature, my beautiful mate, and I'll be fortunate to have you if it is you want me)

"I wanted you since the moment I saw you." I whispered.
