9 Months Later
Sophomore year has gone well.
I have kept in touch with my step mom and all of my siblings. Mom came clean with me about what really happened with my SD. Apparently, he and Mary moved here for work. He was part of the extremist sect of the Mormon church and wanted a go at polygamy, but didn't tell either of his wives.
When they both found out, they were both pregnant. Since he had been married to Mary first mom told him to stay with her and that she would raise me on her own.
I guess he did try to reach out but never tried to help financially, and that pissed mom off, so she ignored him and never told me about him. I was glad. I don't know that I would have understood when I was younger why he did what he did. I still don't think I get it.
