Day off at the Capital Part 1

The day of their two days off began.
As a matter of fact, there was a mountain of things that needed doing. Expanding and strengthening the military, meeting with the VIPs, creating documents for external use, writing books and blueprints, pushing forwards of all sorts of reforms...the list could go on forever. But, as a human being, they need to take a rest so they can freshen up their minds, strengthen the body, and explore the town. Since day one, they had never gone out of the palace. They prioritize doing their individual task to hasten up the development of the kingdom. It never slipped on their minds about exploring the kingdom. That’s why when Lumi suggested that they should take a break, on behalf of George, they immediately grabbed it.
The water fountain is their rendezvous point, George, Tuka, and Lumi are already on the site waiting for the others to arrive. Being a king means attracting the attention of the public locals, so he decided that they must wear something in disguise. George used his remaining time to stylize his hair into “Slick Back Hairstyle” making him look like a handsome CEO of the company. He wore sunglasses and a formal suit that would make him akin to a businessman. While Tuka and Lumi wore a red service military uniform. Unbeknownst to George, his suit attracts attention as it perfectly fits on his slim-masculine body that would make them in awe and admiration.
“Your Majesty, is that suit the suit that you normally wear on your world?” Lumi asked as she was looking heads to heels to George. Tuka also scanned him with admiration.
“Yep, I wear this suit most of the time.” He replied and pulled his phone, “Where the f**k are they? They should be here now.”

“George!!!”
A man shouted at them and they turned at the source of the voice and finally, they arrived. They are eight of them in total. Adams, John, James, Alexander, Jay, Benjamin, Felicia, and Zeppy. Adams, John, and James wore a semi-formal blazer and a trouser that varies from color. Adams wore red, John wore blue, and James wore green. While the other three wore long-sleeved polo shirts and a trouser, the sleeves were rolled all the way to their elbows. Lastly, for the two little girls. They wore a frilly-dress that accentuated their beauty and slim body and their low stature.
Everything seems settled so they started walking to the places where food stands are commonly found. Since they are in the area where nobility and royalty are situated, most of the stores here are luxurious and expensive. Be it restaurants, tailors, accessories, and the like.
While walking on the newly paved asphalt road. They saw a paver doing its task to pave the entirety of the main road. Construction workers from the common area are excavating the roads for installments of drainage systems. Transmission lines are being built on the side of the road and as well as beneath it. One of their revitalization projects will soon come to an end. For the nation to develop at a quick pace. They must secure the magic that made humanity to go where they are now; Electricity. If electricity’ in place, there would be more efficient tools that can be used that needed electricity, the night will not be dark as void, and the list could go on.
But, there is a by-product that makes the nobility and them irritated, the dust particles that are drifted in the wind. George explained to them that they just need to cover their noses to not inhale the particles and they will be okay. However, some nobility complained about how long the project lasted. He only replied with his current analysis, most of the word would be done in eight months or less. Thanks to the seven million construction workers including engineering guilds and architecture guilds the plan seems to be going according to plan.
Back to the story.
“Are you making the kingdom the same image with your former world your Majesty?” Tuka asked.
“Yes, in the next eight months. The kingdom will time travel to the modern era. We will skip some technological stuff to hasten the development, but rest assured we will do everything we can to explain how that technology was built using the knowledge culminated by humanity. Science is just a way of making our lives efficient, comfortable, easy, and et cetera.”
“I understand your Majesty, I pity those old men who cannot see the changes made by all of you.”
George smiled.
“Brother, please carry me in your back,” Felicia said. George agreed and carried her in the back.
He can smell her sweet scent despite the dust. The first location that they will be visiting is a store called Silver Aliser. A store mainly focused on apparel, shoes, and accessories. The group entered the store and saw exquisite dresses and coats hanging on the stands. Accessories such as earrings, necklaces, and rings are caged inside the glass. Everything in the store is comparable to modern era apparels that made the store famous. An old man behind the counter saw them; he noticed one of them that he’s familiar with.
“Sir James!” The man called, “What can I do for you? If there’s anything you need please do let me know! I’ll serve you to the best of my ability.”
“James? Did you know that guy?” John asked.
“Yeah, he’s one of the retail companies that I talked with regarding improving the apparels on this world things like that.”
“It is him that made my store very famous! He has my utmost respect” The old man bowed to him. They can now see his features, he wore a business attire that accentuated his wealth and fame. He is one of the owners of the big company primarily on apparel. The reason why the old man knew him was the fact that James offered a product that will make his company grow by selling ideas and concepts. Instead of proposing finished products, he proposed ideas and concepts. The reason is simple, so they can produce a lot of it in exchange for huge sums of money. The reason applies to all retail companies residing and existing within the Kingdom and the Principality of Bayronia.
“Oh it was you, Alen, These are my friends and they’d like to buy some clothing.” He said.
“Oh, please let me serve them, sir James. Since you’re the reason why my quality of products increased I will give discounts to all of your friends…Huh?”
The old man noticed a girl in the back of some guy. She looked like the sister of the King
“Ehhhh?” He realized and began to kneel, “My lady, what can I do for you? Please forgive my ignorance as I didn’t notice you here”
“s**t” George muttered to himself.
“Brother, they found out” She whispered to his earlobe.
“Then, the man that is carrying you must be King George Ametus!”
They all exclaimed in surprise. They’ve been found out by Alen.
“But why are you wearing such clothes...Oh, I see, you are in disguise?”
“That’s right” George accepted the fact that they’ve been found out and there is no helping it by lying, “Please keep it to yourself about our clandestine visit to your humble store.”
“No, it doesn't matter to me your Majesty I would love to show you around my store. Your reforms and policies made a drastic change in the kingdom even some nobility didn’t agree at first. They saw a future on your ruling and go along with the development”
“Is that so?” He said, “Then, please show my sister and these girls around your store.”
Lumi glances back at him with a dull expression, “You’re not buying your Majesty?”
“You’re not coming with me brother?” Felicia asked with a teary-eyed. How can George escape from this after seeing her cute little girl wearing this face?
“Zeppy, you should go along with them and be fashionable.”
“Hmph, I don’t mind about my fashion. What’s important to me is knowledge!” Zeppy said.
“If you come with them, I’ll tell you how the nuclear reactor works on the aircraft carrier that I proposed.”
“I’ll take my words, I’ll come with them,” Zeppy said with glistening eyes.
“Very good.”
Then it’s settled. George along with the four girls wandered around the store while the other founding fathers waited outside after they saw the products offered by the store.
“Hey, isn’t the day-off is drinking beer at some bar?” Adams said.
“Come on men, it's broad daylight and all you want to do is drink? You’d never changed.” Benjamin said and the rest nodded.
“But, I’d like some booze you know,” Benjamin said, “I’m tired of typing on my computer.”
“I can agree with you on that. I want some booze” Jay said.
“Maybe after they completed their shopping spree,” John said.
The four casually talked while the other two gazes at the construction sites.
“Hey, Alexander. What do you think will happen to this kingdom in the future?” James said.
“It will be spreading freedom in the future and battling the east.” He replied.

After six hours of shopping spree. The girls bought accessories and souvenirs for them such as necklaces and watches. Clothing is also included. They visited many stores ranging from retail and restaurants.
The sun cast its orange shadow indicating that it was sunset and the night was beginning to cast its shadow of darkness. Despite that, the town is still lively working on the projects because of the portable construction lights giving its dazzling glow on the street. The last store that they will visit is the tavern located in the nobility area. Since it's for grown-ups only. George ordered Lumi and Tuka to accompany Felicia home as she was now feeling sleepy on George’s back.
“Look Lumi, you can just return here after you accompanied my sister,” George said and Lumi left with a nod and carried out the orders.
Now all the girls have left, it’s now time for boy’s night out. The thing that they are longing for.
“Okay!!! Who wants some booze….” From the moment they entered the cafe, they could hear someone singing, when they heard that voice, their knees suddenly went weak. When George saw the woman singing on the side. He immediately realized that it was a girl that he met in the backyard. Thanks to his photographic memories he was able to confirm that it was her. It was Lux Noma, the granddaughter of Lucy Contour. What’s the granddaughter of the highest official doing in some tavern anyway? John gave him a “do you know her look” and he responded with a nod.
“Thank you for choosing Centipede Tavern. I’m your server for today.”
“Uhm, table for seven please” George requested.
“Right away!” and began to carry out her duties and escorted them to the table with seven chairs. The group thanked the server after she showed the way.
“Oh my, that girl is really beautiful George,” Adams said while his eyes is locked on to Lux, “Okay, I decided I was the first one to see her so you know what it is”
“Since when have you been comfortable with the girls Adams?” James asked.
“Since the time I arrived here, everything is beautiful here except the era.”
When they’ve arrived in this world. The language barrier is not a thing as they were perfectly speaking the English language. They are not certain of the point where this world is uniformly speaking one language which is impossible, to begin with. In the future, they will encounter a country that speaks Russian, French, Deutsch et cetera.
“May I take your order, sir?” The server asked with a note and a pen in her hands ready to write down their order.
They began perusing the content of the menu and ordered, “three buckets of Centipede beer, three orders of fish and chips, two orders of large French fries, and two orders of onion rings. That would be all.”
“Before I leave I will confirm your order first; Three buckets of Centipede beer, three orders of fish and chips, two orders of large French fries, and two orders of onion rings?”
Everyone nodded.
“Thank you, please wait for thirty minutes as we carry out your orders.”

Now you might ask, why the hell do they have modern cuisine in the middle era in the first place? Well, that’s because of James doing. Remember when he was selling ideas and concepts. Well, this is like that. Also, thanks to the food crisis being alleviated. The prices of food decrease.
While they were waiting for their food, they were all grooving at the smooth song sung by Lux, Adams can’t help but watch her from a distance hoping he could be noticed by her.
“Hey George,” John called, “Since this tavern also has that thing, why not sing a song from us?”
“Yeah, you were the best singer among us and I would love to hear that,” James added.
“Guys, do you know that we’re in different bodies? Meaning all of our physical appearance including voice is changed.”
“Well I do believe that but after analyzing my memories, I found out that you are a hell of a singer.”
“Sing! Sing! Sing!” His co-founders cheered and chanted at the same time attracting the attention of the customers including Lux.
“Well, you asked for it.” George stood and the cheers among them grew louder.
Lux stopped for a moment after noticing the man who was been at the center of attention.
“Your Majesty? Why is he here?” Lux muttered to herself.
“Lux? Are you okay?” Her guitarist said who noticed her blankly staring at the man.
“I’m okay.” She regained her composure and began to sing again.
However, The man wearing a formal suit approached her. Finally, she can look at him closely and verify that it was his King.
“Can I try to miss?” He asked softly. She doesn’t know that the king is a singer but she’d like to see him try.
“Okay,” At this point, she knew that it was the king but instead of calling him your Majesty she replied okay only. Maybe there’s a reason for concealing their identity. Lux also noticed the group man he belongs with and identified that it was his ministers. Are they taking a break from their work?
“And the equipment as well?” George requested as he called out his co-founders to help him.
Adams, John, and James stood to their seat and approached the stage. They picked their respective music equipment such as drums, guitar, and bass.
Lux watched from the side along with her crew, meanwhile, Lumi and Tuka arrived at the moment. They saw George and the ministers at the stage.
“What is he doing?” Lumi asked.
“Oh, Lumi why are you here?” A woman asked her she turned at her and wished she didn’t
“Lux? Are you singing here?” She asked.
“Yep, but his majesty asked if he could sing for one time and I agreed,” Lux said.
“Is his identity found out?”
“No”
