Discussion room, Inside the Royal Palace, Ametus. A gigantic table carved of gleaming black stone sat in the center of the room, surrounded by seven luxurious chairs. All of them are filled with the highest authority in the Kingdom of Ametus, The King, and his six ministers. “Now, I gathered you here today for the periodic report, I’ll start with Adams” The king announced. The man in a black coat graciously stood up to his seat as he handed documents to each minister and the king.  “Your Majesty, this is the bar graph of the prospect annual yield of our crops. It increases tenth fold. With this supply of food, the crisis is now a mere nightmare. I can instantly grow crops as long as I have my magic. Also, 35% of our land is arable, meaning that we can increase our food crops and cash crops more.” He continued, “Please see the next page, those are the agricultural machinery that the farmers need to harvest crops. The supply is overwhelming for our farmers and can’t keep up with their current tools. Lastly, we need an irrigation system in all of our fields to sustain conventional methods. I cannot waste my time standing in the fields three times a day instead of being in my office and transferring my knowledge into a book.” He ended. “Very well, thank you, Adams. Now let’s move on. Jay, you have something that you would like to report to us?”  “Weapons and aircraft are still under procurement, my adjutant, Zeppy is doing her best to meet up the demands with the help of her golems. I already passed the blueprints to her and I was surprised that she can keep up with those modern blueprints and understands them. Did you know that Zeppy can instantly use design software? Her ability is a cheat in the modern world.”  “No one else?” George called. “My housing initiatives are already in place your Majesty” They glanced to the man who spoke suddenly, it was Benjamin. “That’s all. Maybe you can call us when the project is finished? You know we have important things to do and we shouldn’t waste it on this petty meeting.” “You’re right” George accepted, “Sorry for troubling you on your works, Now, before we go back to our works. I invited someone that can be beneficial to us.”  He ordered the royal guards standing on the side of each door to call someone from the outside using facial expressions. The door opened and a man wearing a black robe covering its entirety entered the hall.  “I want you to meet, Emmanuel.” “Thank you, your Majesty, for calling me here in the council of geniuses.” Emmanuel graciously bowed. “We don’t have time for formality Emmanuel, proceed with your information.”  “Okay your Majesty,” Emmanuel approached the big round table and lay out a map. It’s not the map of the kingdom, but a map of the world. “Your Majesty, how come we do not know this?” John exclaimed. “Yeah, we deserve an explanation, your Majesty”  “Settle down,” He ordered, “This is also my first time seeing the world map honestly. Sorry for being lazy as I do not have time to busy myself finding relics in the basement. Please proceed with your report on the surrounding countries.” “I will now make my report. First, I will review the surrounding countries. Our country, which is situated in the southwest of the continent, shares a border with three countries: The Dwarfen Republic to the north, the Principality of Bayronian to the east, and the Kingdom of Shone in the southeast. Also, across the sea to the east of our continent there is the Archipelago of the United Races and the other continent where the Empire of Baharuth is situated. In addition, most of the countries situated on the eastern side of the continent are under the control of the Empire. So, we have 13 friendlies, 5 hostile countries, four of them were about to be under the influence of the ideology of the empire, and 4 neutral.”  “If this is a cold war, we can say that the USSR is winning right?” Everyone nodded except Emmanuel, “Now, tell us, Emmanuel. Is it true that there is a rift between the western continent and the eastern continent?” “Culture sir. Each continent has a different culture and we're waging war on whose culture and ideology is the best.”  “This is getting interesting.” Jay continued with a goofy grin. “There is also a west vs east in this world.” “This world?” Emmanuel tilted his side to the left questioningly. “Your Majesty, this is getting troublesome, we have a reek of eastern culture on the east side of the continent, and once the other four falls down. It’s our loss. Not only we are revitalizing this nation but we have to win in a cold war as well.”  “You’re right. Speaking of culture, remember Lucy Contour’s robes that she’s wearing? It’s similar to the kimono of Japan. Maybe the eastern continent is filled with Japanese culture? Chinese? Korean? The three  powers in East Asia are rivaling us the United States.” “In terms of population, military, technology, and quality of life they are winning,” Adams said, “But please stop using our former world as a reference please?”  “We have a population of 87 million while the Empire has 150 million or more. The Empire is expanding rapidly. One of their policies is human supremacy. They are oppressing those who are demi-humans.”  Emmanuel added, “If not for the treaty, then our country would cease to exist.”  The seven founding fathers pondered in their thoughts analyzing the situation. In the map laid out by Emmanuel, they saw a huge chunk of an island in the middle between the two continents. One of them asked Emmanuel about the piece of land. “That’s is the recently discovered island by the Kingdom of Ametus” He reported, “But, the Empire is also claiming the island as their own. They are settling military camps and bases on the island and in the near future, they will soon take it.” “Then we cannot let that happen” George suggested, “However, as much as I would like to act now the enemy is still within our continents. I will have to talk with the hostile nations in our continent and find a concession. If I found any kind of duress in their country by the Empire. We will take it as a provocation of war.” “That’s a good move, your Majesty, as of now they are focused on fighting off the demon domain in their northern part of the continent…” “Nope, we can’t do that yet, we were still in the process of revitalization and industrialization of the kingdom. We need to get stronger first before fighting the Empire. First, I will personally meet the head of state of the hostile nations and as for those who are neutral, we will offer an alliance to them.” He continued, “I think everything is settled, you may go back to work.”  “Yes, your Majesty” The founding fathers bowed in their seats. “Emmanuel, I found your skills quite intriguing.” He praised, “Your versatility and knowledge prove that you can keep up with us.”  “You’re flattering me, your Majesty, I just simply want the knowledge embedded on your sacred brain.”  “Then, how about I make you my prime minister?” George offered.  “Thanks for the offer your Majesty, but I will need to decline your offer.”  “Okay, tell me the reason.”  “Because I want to teach everyone about this new knowledge I’ve read in your books!” He exclaimed, “The new concepts and laws with real-life examples made me understand every bit of the contents of the book.” “Hmm, then how about I make you my minister of education? Would you agree?” He said, “I have to lessen all of my loads here so I can focus on transferring my knowledge in this world. It's okay if you decline but the knowledge you seek will be available in the next three years.” He sighed.  “No-no-no-no.” He fumbled his hands, “I would gladly accept the offer, your Majesty! Please, let me become your minister of education.”  “Good decision. On this day forth, you will become my minister of education” He appointed.  “Thank you, Your Majesty,” He bowed reverently and left. Everything seems to be settled. George let out a sigh of relief finishing the meeting. They worked all day as usual. Dusk till dawn. Instead of sleeping on his comfy bed, he chose to build a bed inside his office so he can jump off after the long day of work.  Three days later. The morning breeze gleamed through his window, another day another busy work. If he was in his former body. He could have collapsed due to overwork. But thanks to his youth, it seems like he can handle it.  Just before he could start his work, a royal guard gave something to him. It was a mail with a stamp of the Empire of Baharuth. Why is the Empire of Baharuth sending mail to a hostile country? He opened the mail and saw a neatly folded paper. It was paper, not parchment, seeing that made him exclaim in surprise slightly. They are really ahead in terms of technology.  He opened the folded paper and read it.  [ To: King George Ametus of the Kingdom of Ametus. From: Empress Andrea Nebulis of the Empire of Baharuth. Good day your Majesty. You might seem shocked when you got this message from your adversary. So, I’ll be brief. In the next two weeks, I will be coming from your Kingdom to heed an audience with you. I would like to speak with you personally about your action against the Principality of Bayronia who appears to be a signatory of the Declaration of United Mankind Against Demons. Also, I would like to discuss about you and your future policies and reforms. That’s all thank you. Truly yours Empress Andrea Nebulis ] He set the letter aside, why would the Queen from the other country and most importantly their main adversary, seek an audience with him? Is it that something important? Why would she like to discuss his policies with the enemy? Is she stupid or some sort? There must be something in it.  Those questions flooded his already overloaded mind. He doesn’t have a leeway of time to entertain a foreign enemy. Even if she comes from the Empire. It’s time to begin working he thought and immediately grabbed his personal pen and started writing. As soon as he marked the paper a bang sounded in his front door. He stopped for a moment, he was clearly displeased at whoever it is. He peeked from his desk and saw a familiar girl, it was Lumi Neileigh.  “Do you know how to knock Lumi?” He said sternly, “Do you think that you can get away with your behavior just because you’re kind of cute?”  Hearing that Lumi turned to trance with her face dyed red.  “It's a joke, I don’t find you cute Lumi.” He said, “Based on your actions, it seems like it’s urgent.” “It’s a truly urgent matter your Majesty” She returned to her state and began speaking.  It was about the day-off that she petitioned to the council. It has been three months since they took office. Three days earlier, a petition was delivered to the council with a request of the king and his ministers to take a two-day break. In order for the petition to work. It needs the signature of the three dukes, the personal management, and the royal guards, the maid force, and every other group within the palace. Seeing the king and his ministers working so hard that their hard work is affecting their work motivation. They didn’t hesitantly sign the petition. “So, there you have it. I will be insisting you take time off, your Majesty.” “Did you just say time off?” He said with a serious tone.  Lumi remained in her composure, she must convince George that he and his ministers needed to take time off. She casually dropped the bundles of paper she was holding onto the desk he'd been working on. “This is a petition,” She informed him, “According to it, ‘When those at the top do not rest, those below find it difficult to take time off.’ You will find my name, the three dukes, and influential nobles.”  “Now that you mentioned it, I haven’t taken time off since being summoned here, have I?” He muttered and continued with his usual tone, “Are you really giving us to take a time off?”  “Yes, but only for two days your Majesty.”  “Thank goodness” He sighed as he sluggishly slouched over his desk, never minding the stack of papers that seem to be not reducing its numbers. “We’ve been working since day 1 and at last our fellow countryman noticed our hard work”  “Hah?” Lumi exclaimed in shock, “Are you saying that you’re looking forward to this day-off? I thought you will be more like ‘I have work to do, I don’t have the time to spare on pointless activities’” She imitated his usual voice.  “Is that how I sound to you Lumi?” Still slouching over his desk, lifeless. “Then, can I ask you a favor?” “Anything within my power” She proudly declared. “Can you come with us?” He said. “As your chief attendant, I believe it's within my jurisdiction. I would accompany you as long with your personal elf guard.”  “It's settled then.” Then the messages reached all the ministers and gathered in the big fountain located in the center of the capital. To prevent themselves from attracting the attention of the locals, they decided to disguise themselves.
