The Seven Founding Fathers Revitalize the Kingdom

Revitalization had already started.

Three months later.

George was in his office to sort things out. First, within the month passed the founding fathers were able to survey all the feasible sites in the kingdom, the coal-powered plant is under construction near the Siax river within the kingdom, asphalt roads that are a by-product of mining are still currently paving the main roads by paver for efficient transports and logistics. The founding fathers also introduced heavy equipment to hasten the process. At first, they were dumbfounded at those big heavy machines doing the works but thanks to George and Jay, they were able to help them learn the simple mechanics of how to use and drive it.

Golems that are made by Zeppy were also placed on construction infrastructures such as bridges and roads. George ordered her to create three golems every day, which now has 182 humanoid golems that are comparable to a heavy machine.

The policies made by John about health awareness are also placed. Hospitals and medical equipment are now being created with the help of Benjamin and Jay. Food crises are alleviated and a steady supply of rubbers.

In those months, the founding fathers were working so hard that they didn’t even take a break. They only stop for breakfast, lunch, and dinner but most of their time is placed on sorting their revitalization projects.

There are two people inside the office’s it was George and Lumi. The situation between them is awkward when George told her the truth about his identity while Lumi is feeling a sense of awkwardness between them. The probable reason is she confessed to the man she thought it was. Whenever she’s inside the room, she can still the tension between them.

“Look Lumi, I don’t mind at all if you confessed your feelings to the man you love but please maintain work composure. I already apologized for not telling you in the first place, that I played on this charade.” George said, he probably noticed her uneasiness.

“Uhm…I…sorry, It’s just that I’m in the room with a complete stranger.” She said, “It makes me feel uncomfortable.”

“So, you want to know more about me and us?” George replied while sorting all the documents at hand.

“Yes”

“All I can tell you is that we died in our former world and our soul got transmigrated here.”

“I mean, who are you?”

“If it's me you want to know then I’ll tell you.” He continued, “My name is George Lindon, 46th president of the United States of America. Before I got on that position, I am a professor similar to the royal court and I was nominated to become the HUD secretary by the 45th president and after that, I ran for office with the supports of my people and won. Though politics is not my forte. I can still maintain my polls for not imminently cascading and made our economy blooming despite the 20 trillion dollars debt.”

“I see, but you didn’t tell me how old you are and if you have a family left in there or not.”

“I do have a family; I have a wife and a daughter. But they died 15 years ago.”

“Oh, sorry sir. I’m sorry for my insensitiveness.”

“Well that’s fine, I am trying to be open with you by the way.” He said, “I forgot, I am 66 years old when I died but I still have manly look.”

“66 years old?” She exclaimed, “Then the rest are?”

“Same with my age.” He continued, “Meaning, you confessed your love to a 66-year-old man”

They laughed thankfully reducing the tension between them.

“But to tell you the truth, we are just keeping an appearance here. Most of us still cannot accept the fact that we died and summoned here. If you are a realist and most of your actions are based on definite evidence, if you were getting stuck in this situation how would you react? First, we would remain calm and study it. But we gave up on that idea since we died in the first place. Now stepping that aside, I have work to do.”

A man entered the room, it was Alexander, John, and Adams. Despite their young looks, Lumi saw them as an old man.

“What’s with that look Lumi? Even if we have youthful looks on this body, I can tell you that you’re thinking different.”

Lumi shrank to her position, regretting the fact for thinking of them as an old man.

“Why are you here? Didn’t you have work to do?” George gave a stern voice.

“No need to be like that Your Majesty, we came here to report” Adams continued, “I spoke with the dignitaries in our four neighboring countries regarding food trades. They are hoping for lowering the tariff on our products.”

“They want us to what?”

“Look, I already explained to them why the tariff is high. We transported them using trucks that we introduced last month, which is convenient and efficient, the way we handled the crops are within standards so there will be no spoilage, and lastly. My magic abilities. Does he not know that I’m suffering from fatigue every day just to grow crops instantly? He complained.

“We’re gonna need a concession then” George replied, “Tell whoever in charge of this issue to meet me later. I’ll talk to them”

I already gave them the metals that they need, you just need to be patient my friend. They will arrive within schedule. For now, I want you to help Benjamin on creating a foundation for his housing initiatives on the new city that we are building on the western coast. In addition to trains, I already implemented a new mode of transportation like a railway system, airports, and vehicles.”

“When do you think that would happen your Majesty?”

“Another three months, after we are done constructing the infrastructures, factories, refineries, and mining sites, we will proceed on that idea.” George said, “Thank you John for procuring petroleum” He added.

“I’m dying here your Majesty,” John said jokingly, “Do I really need to write the medical articles that I’d read? Also, I’m teaching the royal doctors about the concept of modern medicine and diagnostic and they are not letting me get away and they are being a bother. There are like a hungry beast preying on knowledge huhu…”

We are really going to introduce the culmination of humanity for the last two million years.” He continued, “We’re doing it because of the probability of losing our abilities. “Once we’re done printing all our knowledge to this world, we can finally rest hahaha” Adams added.

“Guys, there is still a threat sitting outside you know. The Empire of Baharuth, Ideological and culturally speaking, they are different from us. This world also had a West vs East concept, but the eastern part is the strongest in terms of military and economic. The only strongest empire to the west is our country and the rest are smaller kingdoms. They despise us and hate us for the reason I don’t know. There is nothing stated in the book, but I can assure you that they are hostile towards us.”

“Then why not attack us?” John said, “If they are superior in technology and military it will be an easy feat to crush the west…”

“That’s because the demon kingdom suddenly emerges from the northern continent and the Baharuth Empire is fighting it.” Lumi interrupted and continued, “And also the west and the east has signed a temporary peace treaty 25 years ago to combat the demon kingdom.”

“That’s why I’m militarizing our kingdom to protect us from an unknown threat. I ordered jay to build some anti-air defense system since the use of air forces if prevalent here.”

“Where are we at the modernization project?” Alexander said.

“With Jay and Benjamin's helps, we procured two AC-130J, RQ-1 Predator, and Airbus A400 Atlas. Five planned F-22 Lockheed Martin, F/A-18 Hornets, and F-15 Eagles. Of course, the time needed to train new pilots will take some time.”

“What about land?”

“We’re procuring M4 Carbine as the new main weapons, Javelins, Law, RPGs. New battle tanks such as M1A2 Abram, M1126 Stryker, and HMMWV. For our navy, we planned 10 destroyers, two cruisers, three frigates, and two corvettes. They will all be commissioned in the next year once we have the proper materials. That’s why I’m fully using my magic ability. We know that our ability can be used in its limit and has a cooldown of three hours. So, that’s three times a day.”

“What about its ammunition?” John asked.

“Ammunition factories are handled by Jay; it will be a fully-automated factory procuring bullets and missiles.” He said, “For now, we have four aircraft and two drones in the hangar.” He continued, “If only if there is a possible way to increase our magic capacity, I would take it.”

“Speaking of that, we only have Zeppy, her magical capacity is higher than us even if we combined ourselves,” Adams said.

“Where is she now?” John said.

“She’s with Jay, building something. She’s the reason why the aircraft was made easy thanks to her abilities. She can also use computer app software when she uses her abilities. Imagine learning how to use software by just looking.” George replied.

“How’s your end, George?” John asked.

“Here reading some documents” He slumped his shoulders, “This project is the most tiring work that I’ve ever done. I’m still planning on how to distribute electricity to people. Substations and foundation for cable lines are under construction.”

Seeing the founding fathers as its limits complaining about how hard their work is, Lumi felt sympathetic towards frustration, the threat of the East and the Demon Kingdom, revitalization projects, and the security of the kingdom. She cannot blame them in fact she should thank them. They died on a terrorist attack and was transmigrated in this world only to bear responsibility on each of their host. If they are elderly like in their world. They would collapse but thanks to their new bodies it feels like they were in their youth again. But since the time they took office, the kingdom is gradually changing for the better. The food crisis is alleviated, the economy is rising, the moods of the people are favorably changing towards them due to their new reforms and projects. They can see the future of the kingdom if those founding fathers are at a constant pace. However, they are human as well. They will feel tired, they will feel frustrated, they will feel pressure, and so on and so forth. If there is any way for her to help them, she would take it.

Hence, she left the room immediately when they are talking tiredly to each other.

She went to the councils where high-ranking nobles and dukes are gathered there everyday between 3:00 to 5:00 pm to supervises the works of the new king. Lumi entered the big hall and gathered the attention of nobles and dukes. Standing in the middle of the hall where nobles and dukes have to stop their work for a moment, she can feel their piercing gazes towards her.

“I’d come here to file a petition that the king and his ministers shall take two days to take a break!”

The hall fell silent when they heard her heed. Did they ignore her request? Will the request be able to pass?

No one dared to object to the petition filed by Lumi in fact they will be considered heartless if they do. The king is doing his job perfectly to maintain the kingdom and make it stronger. The economy of the kingdoms is rising thanks to the minister of agriculture, new construction tools, and technologies created by the king and his ministers, new reforms that ultimately benefited the kingdom thanks to their new minister of commerce. New foods and products that are out of this world, and lastly the peek on their new military equipment.

“Then it's settled, the petition filed by Lumi Neileigh is now approved, you need to collect the signs of those who are working closely to them.” Duchess Lucy said.

“Give the young king and his ministers my regards” General Carmine said, “I’ll believe those kids will change this country for the betterment. I have to return to the Principality now.”

“Is the rule made by the king enforced them sir Fortress?”

“Yes, giving those people food and freedom will not hurt us. In fact, they didn’t feel oppressed towards us anymore. The people there are happy and smiling. Also, my troops who were caught looting and r****g are sentenced to death.”

Baharuth Empire was in the west of the continent of Ametus.

On this continent, if you exclude the Demon’s kingdom domain, this state had the largest territory. When it comes to population, war potential, technology, and even the quality of life for its people, it was a great empire to which no other country could compare.

Even the Ametus Kingdom, which had the second-largest territory on the continent situated on the south-west, was insignificant compared to the Empire. If the kingdom wanted to compete with the Empire, even after annexing the Bayronian, they would still need to double their strength.

Due to the good governance of the first emperor that country strives well, the second emperor was not favorable by the populace and to reclaim his glory he went war on the nearest kingdom and died due to his stupidness since the Empire had lost on such a weak kingdom the trust of the people on the government immediately went on the cliff. However, thanks to his son who took office when he died, he reestablished the orders and take revenge on the country that took his father’s life. The kingdom that defeated the Empire is Halien Kingdom, he is a military genius that knows the capabilities of each country. Since the Halien kingdom won the war, their head grew bigger and bigger and absorbs smaller countries near their domain, to prevent the kingdom to become a new superpower the Empire did the same by absorbing more country. They are fighting for the new powers on the east of the continent until the Empire the difference in power between them was great enough, he invaded the Halien Kingdom and destroyed it.

Even after destroying the Halien Kingdom, the third emperor continued with his wars of invasion, and before he knew it, his country had become a large nation controlling the east of the continent. The appearance of this massive country was a cause of great concern even to countries that didn’t neighbor it.

This happened some decades later, but in the kingdom of Ametus, the reason the king who was George’s Ametus father's father had taken a path of expansionism was out of fear over the existence of the Empire until the Kingdom of Ametus grew stronger and stronger. Seeing the rising power of the kingdom in the west concerns the East and was ready to make war on them. In the west, they stated that the country in the east are barbarians and cannot be trusted while in the west the east is discriminating against them for taking in other races on their kingdom. As an Empire that has human supremacist ideology, they really want to oppress those minorities along with the kingdom. But it all began to stop when the Demon Empire suddenly emerges on the northern continent. With that, the Empire and the Kingdom signed a temporary peace treaty that will expire when the Empire defeated the demon kingdom which had turned into a stalemate for the last seventy years. Since it turned into a stalemate the Emperor shifted his focus on domestic affairs. It was a wise decision but the lords their look down on him due to being passive.

The third emperor died 50 years ago, the fourth emperor is weak-willed and prove his worth by fight the Demon’s empire and died, the fifth emperor was a man of culture, not gifted in the art of war. As a result of the unfamiliar battlefield grinding him down, body and soul, he had passed away five years ago.

The fifth emperor had no boys, so the one to inherit the throne was a girl who was still only fourteen at a time.

That girl is Andrea Nebulis.

Now at the age of nineteen, she was the empress of the Baharuth Empire.

At that time, there had been many voices concerned with such a young girl was to take the throne. However, when she took the throne, she immediately put her natural charisma to work.

She first changed the human-favoring Empire policies, employing those with talent even if they belonged to another race, In peacetime, the humans might have pushed against that, but this was the time of crisis with the threat of the Demon’s lord Domain bearing down on them.

Her Majesty was now in her room in the imperial capital of the Baharuth Empire with a gloomy look on her face.

It was a quiet night. There was something transient about the way she looked as she stood next to the window with moonlight streaming in, not bothering to turn the light on. Her feminine, well-balanced figure was wrapped in a pure white dress, and she looked beautiful with her wavy silver hair.

Who would have believed that she stood at the top of the most powerful states on the continent?

As Andrea looked through the glass at the moon shining in the night sky, she let out another sigh. At that moment, there was a knock at the door to her room. She corrected her posture, then said, “Come in.”

Another young girl entered. “Excuse me, sister.” And another man, “Excuse me, your Majesty”

This girl was clad in a military uniform and had a face that looked identical to Andrea’s.

If there was a difference between them, it was that she tied her black hair in a ponytail and her eyes looked slightly more courageous. It was only natural that they would look so similar because she was Andrea’s sister who was two years younger than Amber Nebulis.

Amber stood in front of her sister, giving her a salute. The man did the same, it was Kazuma, the summoned hero of the Empire who helped the Empire in terms of the quality of life and new knowledge to the modern world.

“It was three months since the Principality lost to the Kingdom of Ametus and today they are developing their country at an unprecedented rate. Their development is concerning and is considered a threat to world order.” Amber continued, “My spies are reporting that they are building railways? Bridges and improving the quality of roads. Also, the king introduced many policies and reforms such as the commoner have now had the right to education. They are also excavating their roads and putting a large tube of metals underneath it. My spies asked what it was and told him that it was for the drainage system. Also, they are building an odd-looking infrastructure near their river. The man working there said it was a coal-powered plant and it produces energy called electricity.”

“It’s no doubt your Majesty” Kazuya intruded, “The king and his ministers came from the world similar to mine!”

“How did you say that?” The empress asked.

“Because those things existed in my world. If they are clearly building those here. The power will shift towards them and will become the new superpower! I don’t know how much knowledge within their grasp but I’m sure that it will be a threat. If they started introducing firearms here, then…” He trembled.

“Are you saying that the Empire will lose to the west..*Cough”

“Your highness” Kazuya was concerned she was coughing hard then saw blood on her hands, “I told you not to raise your voice as it will hurt your throat.”

“Calm down you two” The empress said, “Sister, I promise you that you will become better when I found a new doctor”

“Sorry, your Majesty for worrying you.”

“The most concerning part is that the minister of health cured the King’s little sister with some sort of liquid. The doctor stated that the princess will likely die in a day or two but suddenly the minister of health comes in and healed her.”

“Healed her?” Kazuya tilted his head to the side, “Wait, don’t tell me that they have a modern doctor in that kingdom?”

“Doctor?” The empress said incredulously,

“Your Majesty! If that is true, then Amber has a chance to be normal again!” He continued, “I think I understand now. The king is their leader in a former world while the rest are his companions who have extraordinary ability in each field!”

“You’re confusing me” The empress complained.

“I’m saying that what if their minister of agriculture is a biologist, minister of HUD is an engineer The minister of commerce is a businessman, the minister of health is a doctor, the minister of energy is an engineer, and the minister of interior is a geologist?” He said, “Your majesty! Please make an appointment with the king of Ametus, they might be able to solve our health problems! There is still an on-going epidemic near the capital and your sister's health. If the minister of health is a doctor, then we can just hire him!”

“But they are an enemy” She said, “For sure they will not heed our request”

“Yes, they are an enemy but if you think for your health first and the people please step that aside,” He said coldly, “Your Majesty, please! According to the report, there are over 200 people were affected by the same symptoms and disease.”

“Okay, I will send a messenger to the kingdom of Ametus,” The Empress said, “I would like to know the nature of the new king after all.”

“Please let me come with you!” The two said in unison.
