Jeff leaned against his truck as he waved Rose off, watching her enter the diner. He had the car towed to the place he was staying at and had tinkered with it a little bit, ruling out a couple of little things, which were some of the cheaper fixes. Not that he would charge her, because he wouldn’t dare, but it still sucked to have to put that much money into the car. However, once he fixed it, it should be pretty good and she shouldn’t need anything for a while. She waved once she opened the door and walked in, and Jeff let out a breath. He had nine hours to go talk to a stubborn ass woman before he had to pick Rose up. And truth be told, he wasn’t looking forward to it. But it bugged him that Lupita was stubborn and would want to worry her daughter. Okay, maybe not want to, but she knew
