Unwanted Attention

"Rise and Shine Sweetie."

I ignore the voice and tightly  clasp the blanket, covering myself once again.

"Time to get up."

I ignore the far off voice again. I had a hard time sleeping last night and I don't want to be disturbed. I feel the bed dipping as I try to get some more sleep and someone's breath tickling in my ear.

"If you don't get up I'll kiss you."

That did it my eyes pop open and I remove the blanket from me. I remember now. I had to convince Brayden that I don't need help, and I left them.

"Good girl."

He pet my head like I'm his dog, I flinch away from his touch, moving to the opposite side of the bed. I don't want his company right now. Meanwhile, he had a huge smirk on his face. Damian left the bed and started walking towards me.

"Be in my office in half an hour, or I'll have to punish you."

He winked and exited the room smoothly. 'Punish me?' I dread to think what he has in mind, so without wasting anymore time I grab some blue jeans and a purple v neck from the wardrobe and get ready.

As soon as I'm out I knock on his office door, after hearing a faint come in I step inside to face him. Damian looked up at me with a mischievous smirk. I don't think I'm going to like what he has in store.

"Come here!"

Despite his command I hesitate, not wanting to go near him. When he sees I have not moved he looks a little annoyed, but quickly covers it up. 

"If you won't move I can always help you."

Instantly I walked towards him stopping just before his desk, afraid of his motives.

"No No. Over here." I walk around until I'm just a foot apart from him. Instantly he grabs my wrist and before I can even blink I'm sitting on his lap. Startled, I instinctively try to get up but tightens his grip on me so I can't escape his hold.

"Sit Still!"

He buries his head in the crook of my neck and stays there for a moment. I freeze at his touch, uncertain about what he's doing. After a moment he lifts his head up and looks me straight in my fearful eyes. 

"Don't worry Pet, all you have to do is stay like this until I'm done."

Not knowing what else to do I nod my head as he started filling out the piles of paperwork on his desk.

Time passed by slowly as I reluctantly sat on his lap. My body is sore and stiff. 'How can he stand this?' Just then my stomach grumbled.

Damian stopped working and shone his gaze on my direction.

"Tell you what, because you've been such a good girl, let's go down to eat. I nodded faster than I have cared to as he let out of his hold. However, instead of going to the kitchen like I previously thought he led us to the bedroom. 

"Get changed into something formal, and me meet downstairs."

Not giving me time to respond he left the room, 'odd,' I thought to myself, but no sooner said, I didn't want to aggravate him, so I did as I was told and got changed into a A-line beaded lace chiffon long dress and styled my hair in a low bun updo. I left my face natural because I don't really go in for make-up like normal girls. I do find it strange that he asked me to dress up when we're not really going anywhere, something's off. After I was satisfied I left my room and came down stairs in the white comfort flats. I saw no one, not even Damian down there. The quiet was setting in and I was starting to get nervous.

"Hello."

I called out quietly, but no answer. As tenderly as I could I walked down the rest of the stairs, praying that this wasn't a joke. I turned the corner through the front living room.

"Suprise." 

The lights were turned on and people shouted. I was thrown back a bit, and then I felt a presence by my side, but I didn't care, I was startled, and speechless at the people who nearly gave me a heart attack. It was not long before people started conversing with one another, Nd the problem is I didn't who these people are or what's going on. I look towards Damian with confusion and he pulled me close in saying. "Happy birthday love."

I raised an eyebrow and thought for a moment, 'birthday? Oh man! But, wait a minute.' I looked towards Damian who smirked at me. 'Can he do anything other than smirk? More importantly, how did he know about my birthday?' 

"I know more about you than you think."

I purposely tried to take a step back from him, key word tried. Damian kept me alongside him holding my waist, I was very uncomfortable with the attention. I wanted run and hide like frightened rabbit.

Not too long after he answered my non-verbal question, we approached by a middle-aged man, whom, I assumed is also a monster. He has the same dominant aura as Damian too which I'm scared about.

"Greetings Alpha Damian and My birthday wishes to you Luna."

He puts his hand on mine and plants a kiss, too which I was not expecting.

"Th-Thank..you."

' I am so nervous right now.' Damian pulls me closer, if it's even possible after I spoke.

"Good evening Alpha Fredrick."

"Alpha Damian if I might have a word with you." 

"Of course." 

Thankfully Damian let's me go and guides Alpha Fredrick away. I let out a breath of relief as I was left standing on my own. I looked over to the table that had some yummy looking food and made my over there toot suite. I grabbed some food and stuffed it into my mouth, 'mmn, so good.' Though it may be the hunger talking.

"How's it taste?"

"Nice."

A high pitched voice interjected, so I stopped eating and wiped my mouth. I looked towards the voice and took a step back. It's the nurse from the hospital, and the woman that Damian was making out with.

"I do hope you enjoy your birthday."

"Thanks?"

I don't think she sincerely meant that. The nurse stepped closer and leaned forward.

"Don't think he cares about you. It's just an act. Just Watch."

At once the innocent act was put on her face as she grabbed her stomach with both hands and fell on the floor screaming. Immediately, everyone looked towards and I felt scared again as the mumurrings began.

"The future Luna just attacked her own."

"Is she fit to be Luna?"

"What a horrible thing to do."

"I didn't. I - She."

'Aaah, What do I do now?'
