The Black Castle
It was always there, yet always so far away, that black castle, thought Luna to herself as she crossed the woods.
It wasn't an actual forest to be exact - it was a lovely pathway filled with tall trees and random rose bushes, giving it the look of a forgotten forest, and the house was nestled in it's place in all it's raven glory, smug at Luna for never being able to get in.
No, it wasn't really a castle. But it might as well be, as dark and brooding as it were. The house had little black towers, complete with dark wooden doors and walls covered in ivy and hanging roses. The charm that the house held was impeccable. Did the house look sad? Scary? Happy? Romantic?
"Beautiful", decided Luna. "The house is like a beautiful fairy-tale."
Luna never came across this house, or even walked on this very road intentionally; often times, Luna would simply start walking and see where her intuition took her, and one way or the other, she always stumbled onto this very green pathway with the magic house, waiting and longing to be explored.
She never saw anyone go in or come out of that house, but it always seemed to be well-lit. Not a sign of human life, yet the grass was always green and the roses were always blooming.
"Should I ask around? Who lives here?" Luna debated with herself. "I do not want to come across as a stalker, but I just need to see this house."
The longing she felt was immense, as if a magnet in the very core of her existence somehow pulled her towards the house every time she went out for a walk by herself.
"I must be stupid to think like this. It probably means nothing."
Despite her decision to walk back home, she paused for a long moment and took in the house in all it's glory for one last time.
