Chapter 31
Jessie spent most of the afternoon preparing for the work that would start on the kitchen on Monday. She cooked up several casseroles and soups using the foods that would likely spoil during the two to three-week time frame. While the dishes were in the oven, she carefully stowed her cookware, dishes, and flatware in the boxes Galen had helpfully brought her Friday. She stacked them neatly in her home office, where they’d be out of the way of the workers and potential accidents.
