Thor was buried at the Cascade Falls police cemetery beside his partner a few days later. Galen helped Jessie set up a planter in the spot where Thor had died. She and Michael planted white tulips inside it, representing Thor’s devotion to his partner and the forgiveness he was given after his death.
After initially refusing to talk to them, Michael forgave his friends, who repeatedly apologized to both him and Jessie. Despite the way they met, his friends agreed that Jessie was pretty cool, as she hadn’t yelled at them and instead had given them cookies and comfort. Over the week, Michael came by every evening to check on Jessie and it helped him feel better about the dog’s death. He knew Thor wasn’t really a bad dog.
