Chapter 25
Work continued on the house on Monday and Tuesday as promised. During the crew’s lunch break, Galen found Jessie to spend the time with her, feeling something like a high schooler again, wanting to be with his new girl all the time. Galen wondered if it was too soon to think of her as “his girl.” It would probably seem strange to some people, but their first date had helped him realize Jessie had become special to him and he wasn’t one for just doing some kind of casual fling. He hoped it wasn’t a one-sided desire.
