May your new lives as a wedded couple will be filled with prosperity and happiness," I ended my speech with a smile as the guests of your own wedding began to applause for such heartwarming words that escaped through my red lips. Together with your wife, who happened to be my college bestfriend, decided to make me as your bridesmaid for today's occasion, despite that it was against my will. Unbeknownst to many, we shared a secret-- a hidden love story for nearly four years. We've shared kisses underneath the moonlight, cuddling in each other's arms to showcase our own affection, gone into various dates, celebrated our special moments including our birthdays, anniversaries and our own acheivements, exchanging words of affection and comfort, and promises of a fruitful future. But everything that happened between for the both of us came into halt when we've reached into college. The time where everything started to change. We both study in the same university, but with different courses. That is why we seldomly cross our paths due to our busy schedule. It was during Intramurals day when we have a time together and decided to watch the pageant as your hands are intertwined with mine. It was a sweet gesture of you but it changed when I saw you looked at a candidate--- specifically my college bestfriend. The look that I saw in your eyes is the same look you've gave to me when you've fallen for me. Acting like I'm unaware of it, I still did the stupid thing which can cause our relationship into downfall, that is introducing you to her. "She is kind and sweet unlike you who act like this and that..." That's what you always say when we're together. Instead of enjoying our day together, you can't stop blabbering about how different I am with her. I remained silent as you continue talk about her, hoping that you'll notice that it's making me feel jealousy and you did. You only noticed when I talked about it during our anniversary. You went mad and shouting profanities at me that the words you've spoke after you've calmed down cause my heart to bleed. "Let's end this relationship. I don't love you anymore since you've become the worst version of yourself." From that day, all I did was to cry my heart out. To relieve the pain that I've felt. A month had passed, my college bestfriend excitedly shared me her good news but it only broke my heart even more. "Miss Bridesmaid, thank you for that wonderful message to our newlyweds. Now, let us hear the message of the best man and hopefully he'll share us some of the groom's embarassing moments," The emcee said, completely making me break out of my reverie. I smiled one last time at my ex-boyfriend, who is now the husband of my bestfriend, before I walked out of the reception hall. Walked straight to my own car and started to drive away with an unknown destination in my mind.
