Andre's POV
The Line between Blood and Mate
The moment Vilkas and I lock eyes, I know exactly what he wants.
A fight. He wasn't just here to take Lily away. He seemed to have been waiting for a chance to personally fight with me.
He wants to know how weak he is because I can tell his wolf is practically scratching beneath his skin.
Mine isn't any calmer.
The tension between us grows thicker with every passing second.
Then suddenly, footsteps rush into the garden.
Jake, alongside him are several members of my pack.
They move quickly, positioning themselves between Vilkas and me before either of us can make a reckless decision.
Jake plants himself directly in the middle.
"Absolutely not."
Vilkas scoffs but Jake doesn't even react.
