Chapter Twelve Sarah gasped for air as Tom surfaced in the cave next to the river. She swam behind him and climbed out of the water as he headed toward the collapsed entrance to the tunnels. Tom called back to her softly, “Take a moment to catch your breath. I blocked this entrance the last time I passed through here. I’ve got a few stones to move.” Sarah sat on the edge of the stone shelf and squeezed the water out of her skirt then rang out her long hair.
