TOM KEPT TO THE CEILING of the tunnels as much as possible. The tunnels were strangely quiet. No renegade patrols, no restless wanderers. They reached the cavern without incident. Tom flew into the cavern and for the first time noticed the runes that were carved over every entrance. Cabal was right, this was a dwarven cavern and it was empty. “We better hurry. I don’t like the looks of this,” He said to Sarah as he dove toward the center of the cavern. Sarah wrinkled her nose at the stench of urine and feces. Sarah asked, “Tom, can you circle the cavern. We need to find a large circle with runes on the inside.
